  1. Yeah, not sure what is up with the cats and plastic bags thing. My oldest does it all the time, she just sits there and chews for an hour. Weirdo.

The other one you have to watch out for, he sneaks into the laundry dryer or laundry basket and lays on the warm clothes, making sure to get all of his cat hair on them before you have a chance to fold them. Not to mention, he lays down some stinkers in the litter box. He actually stunk me out of the room once.

  2. Kitties that aren't so random... MY KITTIES!!!

Okay so first we have the current one, the only one still with us, and she's a brat. She fetches her toys and runs around with them in her mouth howling. LOOK AT DE BELLEH!! She lives with my mom and her husband because I'm pretty allergic to cats and I can't have pets here. So she's the family kitty. And that's catnip she's rolling around in, FYI, our kitchen is nowhere ever near that filthy.

And next we have the twins. They were born... 16 years ago? They were born on the same day to the same cat as weird as it seems. The brown one had to be put down in 2008 after he stopped eating or moving and basically gave up on life. I know it sounds cruel to say that, but if you saw him before then and saw the downhill progression that fast, it doesn't seem so bad. He was blind and he had some neurological issues, and frankly, no one expected him to live to see 5, much less 12, so it's not like he didn't have a good life while he was here.

And the Siamese-ish one (snowshoe if we wanna get really persnickety about it) had to be put down at age 15 last year after her kidneys completely failed in the span of hours. The vet said they were so shrunken there was nothing they would be able to do. She couldn't even walk because she was in too much pain and the current kitty stayed by her side up until we took her to the vet. The picture I'm sharing is one of the last ones I got of her, taken maybe a month or so before she died? No one really expected her to do well either because the family they came from never had a cat live past 8, but she survived cancer and a leg amputation (and rejected her stitches twice and had to be IV fed for a week after the surgery) and was otherwise totally healthy up until her kidneys gave out. So yeah, kitties!! I want a kitty again... one day...

Well, thanks for completely bumming me out.

  3. I've been fortunate enough that nearly all major physical injuries I've sustained have been to my left leg. I broke my ankle & dislocated knee when I tried to catch myself while falling off a tilting twelve-foot ladder. Then, the infamous hairline fracture from my knee to my ankle (coupled with blood poisoning) from getting it smashed in a moving car door and drug down the side of a brick garage. Fun fun!

Aside from that, the only other injury I've had was a concussion I received my step-father slamming my head into a garage door. Didn't even know I had a concussion until a few days later at a track meet during the one-mile relay, I got dizzy, collapsed and blacked out.

Anywho, I'm always careful with my left leg when I do everything that involves any kind of knee movement or jumping. Not to mention it kills me when it rains. (Thank you, Isaac.)

    Stay healthy and stay safe!

  4. It turned into the Sophomores vs the other teams varsity after halftime.

I take it the winning team is from an area with a lot of students, whereas the other team is a small town school.

Kind of what we've got here in Rushville, we got decent players -- but we can't compete against the likes of Franklin, Greensburg & Shelbyville. Rushville is lucky to have over 500 students in each school. Where the other three have over that many in each grade.

A bigger pool to find talented players in and a more funded athletic program.

  5. The players never get booed because they are 2nd in state and won like 55-13 the other day. There weren't many calls last game but the game before there were some awful calls.

You can't blame the officials for trying to help out the other team. I mean... 55-13... come on coach, put in the 8th stringers.

  6. Lol don't worry she said she was kidding.

I hope she is. I love cats but I don't want my home a cat shelter.

Just remember, it all starts with one... just one... next thing you know, you've got eighty of them! And then... this happens...

  7. Oh how true is this. This was the one thing I knew that would never change from year to year when I was in school.

High school wasn't so bad. We had an a la carte line, I just went got those rectangular pizzas every day with raspberry blue slushie to drink.

Middle school and elementary school on the other hand, all the food tasted the same -- like the north end of a southbound skunk.

  8. Pssh, you should watch those Animal Hoarders -- those people are nasty!!! They had one episode where the husband was actually living in the basement because of all of his wife's cats. The cats were so numerous, their urine was soaking through the floor into the basement ceiling.

Then another episode, the woman actually got all excited when her daughter got home from school. The woman had like 80 cats living in and around a trailer, and as soon as her daughter walks in, she says -- "You're not going to believe it. There was only three pounds of cat poop this morning."

WOW!! Only three pounds!! They must be starving to the point they are eating their own feces!!

    Unbelievable.... just... unbelievable...
