  1. I dunno, I think he's gonna be good.
  2. Averaging 21.5 yards a catch with a disembodied arm throwing him the ball won't cut it? Well.
  3. Will Scoob and the gang find out who's haunting the old cotton candy factory? Find out next week.
  4. Interesting...but how do you feel about Darren Waller?
  5. Yea Ozzie mentioned that point during one of the pressers. I think our entire staff took this draft personally and we're going to see that on the field.
  6. I agree and Kubes definitely poaches Supernaw at some point lol.
  7. That's a great point. Through that lens, and given the fact that Ravens stated Boyle was "way ahead" of anyone else on their draft board when they selected him, you've got to look at that pick as a brilliant one for value and depth.
  8. We're going to be relishing the plays that Carl Davis, Za'Darius Smith, Maxx Williams, and CJ Mosley (as another need-filling player we one-upped them with) make against the Steelers for years to come.
  9. I think the thing to note about Coates is that he absolutely has the size and speed to be as good a receiver as anyone in the league, so much as the draft, but his catching ability (or lack thereof) is so bad that it dropped him two full rounds. He's Stephen Hill with a little more toughness, because of that I think he sticks around the league and has a career but I don't think coaching fixes the issues he has catching the ball.
  10. Their thinly veiled giddiness about Walker reminds me of the vibe coming out of the Castle when we drafted Webb. They really think they got one there. I hope so too.
  11. And was probably still a reach at that point.
  12. Imo Camp and Asa are solid PR options...KR is up in the air though. DeAndre Carter should be looking at that spot with wide eyes.
  13. Hill signed: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/04/23/will-hill-signs-tender-with-ravens/
  14. Imo ZDS is a mix between McPhee and Upshaw. He has McPhee's size but lacks the burst McPhee has in his first step. He makes up for that with strength, like Upshaw, but unlike Courtney (and even McPhee when he came into the league), ZDS already has a strong understanding of hand placement and leverage, has a variety of pass rush moves, and sinks his hips well to pivot off of blocks. Net, I think he could develop into an even better hybrid than McPhee, combining Upshaw's edge setting presence with McPhee's ability to move around the line for sacks.
  15. We totally pulled the rug out from under them. I'm still giddy about that. Triple whammy: Hurt them, bolstered us, and forced a panic pick which set their whole draft forward a round. They left some good value on the board taking Golson in the 2nd, even he was shocked.
  16. Fantastic job by the FO, couldn't have asked for a better draft.

  17. I think our entire round 4 was masterful and totally agree about Walker being a fantastic sleeper prospect. He could develop into the ideal complement for Jimmy. Both press guys, put Jimmy on an island and roll coverage to Walker's side with Webb in the slot. We just need Elam, Levine, Brooks, Miles, or Lewis to lock down that other safety spot and our secondary will be solid again.
  18. I give it an A-thousand.
  19. Harbs even said he actually has more pass rush ability than McPhee did coming out. Understands hand placement like McPhee but also has more fluid hips for second and third efforts. I think that's what held McPhee back (on top of injuries) in his first couple years. He had an amazing first step for a DE/OLB but if he didn't beat you off the snap he had trouble working through/around guys. He could be a McPhee clone by year 2 and a Suggs replacement in 3-4.
  20. I think we got Walker to really specialize in covering TEs. He has ideal traits for the assignment.
  21. haha that's the unintended benefit of draft season. helps you weed out the snobs and the delusional.
  22. Here's what I know/think I know: -I trust our front office to the utmost -If Marcus Peters was on the board he would be a Raven, but neither he nor Johnson were making it anywhere near us -Breshad Perriman has all the tools to be the best receiver in Ravens history and one of the best in the league on the high end; a bigger, stronger, faster Torrey Smith (which was the difference last year, not on one play but over the course of the season) on average; or a colossal bust on the low end -We had our pick of Strong, Dorsett and Perriman, telling me that our board values measurables and interviews more than I thought they did
  23. I think it's a combination of the fact that our offense has historically struggled against the Tampa 2 because we've never been strong in the underneath passing game coupled with Lewis' familiarity with our offensive weapons. Essentially, the Bengals defense is tailor made to give us headaches.
  24. the amount of cap space the Browns and Bengals have is unreal.
  25. Man can you imagine Flacco with the system and personnel Young had? Good lord.
