  1. I don't recall a time Marlon dropped a pass that hit him in the hands. I want to see him on the field. People outside Baltimore look down on our wide receivers but I am pretty happy with the guys we have. My concern was the lack of speed guys with the departure of Torrey but obviously Perriman brings that back to the table.
  2. Arrington is the BEST option RIGHT now. Meaning he will probably want to much for his production. June cuts are coming up and those cap casualties will start happening as vets are replaced by young draft picks. Just my take but I say wait it out which is something Ozzie is not afraid to do. We aren't playing a game next Sunday.
  3. Maybe it is the high number of picks this year, the high number of offensive guys picked, or the quality of the UFA but I get the feeling the cuts this year are going to be very tough.
  4. I am getting pretty excited for all the offensive weapons compiled in this draft. It is going to be tough to let any of the WR or TEs go come cut day.
  5. Sami, I hope the heightened stage of professional football on a given Sunday will help keep his head in the game as well. This is when those paychecks keep flowing so long as you produce. An argument could be made either way but my hope is much like yours.
  6. It's funny. I see articles like this each year and each year I don't have much interest because it includes none competitive drills and workouts. The funny thing this year is I actually care what goes on because our top 2 guys are going to be touching the ball and not defenders like it years past. Mosley running drills isn't too exciting because he isn't going to be touching the ball on many plays. Just the ball carrier. This year we all want to know how well our top picks catch and adjust to the ball coming right at them. Just a thought.
  7. Heres hoping Pitta can get back to cutting, turning, twisting, jumping, taking hits, etc. May he never have another hip related injury in his life. Having two of those might scare most people away from the game but he obviously has a passion.
  8. I would be willing to bet this would be a drop in the bucket for them and a huge distraction for the Patriots. I just feel it would help send a larger message to any other team that they are actually being monitored. Most people it seems don't trust the organizations nor the head office to curtail cheating. They need to clean this up and not just sweep it under the rug like I feel they are about too.
  9. Do I really care about deflated balls? No, unless this does help solve the low fumbling equation. The biggest issue I have is "What else are they doing?". If they feel breaking this rule is in-signification, what else is a laughing matter for them?
  10. I personally want to see Tom suspended but more-so I want to see the implementation of 3rd party auditors assigned to New England Patriots compound for the year. I want impartial bodies at the facility, on the practice field, in the locker room(s), and in team meetings. Just sitting back and observing day to day operations, making sure all rules are being strictly followed. Is that excessive? Absolutely, but no organization has given so much probably cause for such measures. The 3rd party auditors should have a huge discovery incentive to bring any wrong doing to light in hopes to level the competitive playing field. I just don't know how anyone (outside of New England) can trust this organization is winning without the need of certain advantages.
  11. Let's just say he retires. Anyone know what happens to his contract and it's impact on the salary cap at that time?
  12. Trevorsteadman, it will actually be closer to 5 million after the rookie draft pic signings. Anyway, yes, I expect to see the team address corner after other teams start unloading expensive guys replaced by their younger (cheaper) draft pics. Happens every year and we all know Ozzie likes to wait out other teams. June 1st cuts, camp cuts, preseason cuts, trade possibilities, etc. I expect we will see 2 more corners (vets) added in the coming months. Much like last year. We were hit unusually hard at that position and most likely was more of a fluke than a trend.
  13. Is Eric stealing Ozzie's water in that pic?
  14. I don't envy Myers having to go pants shopping. How he ever fits those legs into a pair of jeans is beyond me.
  15. September is next month, right?
  16. I kind of feel bad for Supernaw. He will be the odd man out of all of this. Williams, Gillmore, Pitta (???), and the other TE we just drafted. Not a bad team problem to have. Just saying.
  17. Darkraven23, Do you think the Ravens selected Jimmy at that spot to play special teams in year one?
  18. Bat-mite, I think anyone the Ravens take in the first round is EXPECTED to be a starter. I think this is true of any 1st round selections. 1st round talent guys that need time to develop usually fall to later rounds. This is my expectation. I would be very surprised to see him riding the bench early unless an injury of course.
  19. I really want to like this pick. So I do. I don't know much about the kid except what I am reading and hearing since last night. I hope he gets the hands calmed down. If he does I imagine we should see what Torrey gave us in pass-interference calls turn into completed catches. Torrey could get there but didn't seem to fight for the ball or adjust to it in the air. That is what I am hoping to see change with Perriman. Can we trade up tonight and also get Strong? Just saying.
  20. Jameel McClain just signed with the Giants. Good luck to him.
