  1. More and more mocks start to think the Browns aren't gonna take a QB at #2, as the Rams take the only QB they are reallyinterested in.

When people were saying that the trade between SL and TEN was great for us, the first thing that popped in my mind was that it actually may not change anything. If CLE doesn't go QB, we are still in the situation as before. More than likely, I see us picking between Buckner and Bosa.

Like Joe, he shows up big in the playoffs. You gotta love that!

he shows up big whenever he's on the field, he's just been crippled for two years, and spent two others on the bench while they were trying to make Ed Dickson (the 3rd round pick) a thing.

I will give Dickson credit, he did look like a thing in 2011. He had close to 50 catches I think and some were pretty great catches. Then Pitta happened and Dickson had butter all over his hands....

It would be nice to see him make a comeback and play for a couple years injury free. If he is willing to risk it, then so be it. It's his life, let him live it. It's a shame he had this problem, because Pitta could have been one of the best receiving TEs in the NFL.

@steelcityraven My scenario would be if Pitta has no cautious of his injury and perform like he did in 2012, then they should put Waller on the practice squad and have Pitta, Boyle, Williams, and Watson as our TE depth but by having Boyle being suspended for 10 games then Waller can take his spot until Boyle come back from suspension. If the Ravens wanted to keep Pitta they have to make sure if he could fully play, contact the doctors if it's truly 100% healed and it's no wear and tear.

We can TRY to put Waller on the practice squad. The dangers of that are he has to be cut, then signed to the practice squad. When he is cut, a team can swoop in and sign him to their active roster, that's a big risk because he obviously has the talent to develop into a good player. He can also be plucked from our practice squad at anytime, so either way its a risk. Waller may just end up being the odd man out.

Honestly, I was hoping Pitta would retire. Its gonna be sad to watch if he injures his hip again. Also, he has regained mobility in the hip where he can live a very good lifestyle, if he hurts it again, complications will be worse. Every time he touches the ball I'm gonna hold my breathe, because it could happen even without contact (like last time). Maybe he comes back and performs well, which would be a bonus, but it's a long shot.

  4. IDK.... Tunsil, Ramsey, Jack, Bosa, Buckner- I would be elated with any of those 5 and we pick at # 6.... (So with Zeke Elliot being in the mix and the 2 QB's- and any possible trade) I am fairly confident that we will land one of those 5 at # 6... if not we trade back and take Stanley and grab our CB at #36 (and lick our chops with extra draft picks)...

I'm really excited to see how this unfolds. Because the 5 you mentioned could be gone by the time we pick. I definitely think Tunsil goes with in the first 3 picks. So at least one offensive player will be gone. We need the Browns to take a QB, so that leaves us with a chance to land Jack, Buckner, Bosa, or Ramsey. I really don't see Jack or Ramsey falling to us. I think we will be deciding between Bosa, Buckner, or Hargraeves.

This is going to be the longest 2 weeks of the offseason haha.

Too many good players available to take a risk on someone with a surgically repaired knee.  Even if he is fully healed, but we have no way of knowing that for sure. Won't make or break us if we don't get him, but will hurt if he doesn't pan out because of long term complications to knee.  Could be some time before we get a pick this high again. Lawson or trading down for Spence or even Alexander and getting more picks sounds safer.

I guess Perriman has scared everyone on this site? Just because he injured his knee doesn't mean he will be hindered by this in the future. He has recovered great so far. And I'm sure our doctors know if he is fully healed by now. Could it hinder him? Possible. But the chances are not very high. Could he hurt his knee again? yes. Knee injuries happen quite often in the NFL. That's a chance we take with whoever we pick at 6. Guys are also coming back from knee injuries better than ever before. This is like saying we should get a different QB cause Flacco blew his knee out. Well so didn't Tom Brady, Carson Palmer, Philip River, etc.

Thomas Davis has torn his ACL 3 times, and has bounced back just fine.....

Why would the Ravens even consider taking a chance like this with the #6 pick? It is absolutely insane. I don't care how good the guy was before the knee injury, he has not shown anything that would prove he is recovered and able to continue what he once was. I hope the Ravens aren't that stupid.

Have you checked what he did at his pro day? Have you seen videos? The athletic ability of this guy is freakish. He looked very good at this pro day, and has more time to recover.

First , you don't need a first round pick to replace a 30+ year old ILB. You do realize Ravens have many other needs. Can Jack cover after a knee injury? What's his 40 time. Why no running drills at the combine? I think it's crazy not to be concerns. IMO

We're not talking about any ILB prospect in the draft. ILB is a need for the Ravens, as our current starter opposite CJ is Zach Orr or Art Brown, not real assuring is it? Jack is arguably the best player in this draft. Could he turn out to be a bust? Sure. But that could happen to any player we pick at 6. The knee injury? He is making great strides. He didn't run drills at the combine because he wasn't cleared yet. He did at his pro day, and looked very good. I'm sure team doctors all across the NFL are checking this guy out as much as possible, and if we draft him, I have faith that his knee will be just fine. Honestly, if he is there at 6, we would be fools not to draft him.

The more I think about I, the more I'm against this pick.  Sorry, but we've got a rookie wr that's still out with a knee injury although a different kind.  He may be good for this season, but what about the next and the one after that?  People talk about how good he will be against TEs and that's probably true, and more than likely we'll have to play New England during the playoffs up north where it will be cold.  So what if arthritis sets in?  We may not even make the playoffs this year since we're rebuilding.  Not saying we can't.  Point is we're picking a player for hopefully the long hull and we need him to be healthy. After all the injuries we endured last season, we have to make this pick count.  I would much rather take a safer pick like VH3 or Elliott.

This is a different injury, and all humans heal differently. Apparently he has made great strides, and I really doubt this turns into a big issue down the road. He would be a great pick for us.

  9. I can even imagine the Browns trading up to the #1 spot if they want Wentz that bad. Chess not checkers. I heard where that happens and the Ravens trade up to #2 for Ramsey and the Titans still get Tunsil. Depends on the cost over value of the player. Crazy. I don't see the Ravens trading up for Ramsey when they should get a decent player. Anything is possible. I actually thought about trading up for Jack. Just one or two spots.

I don't think we will trade up at all. If we trade, we are going to go down to gain draft picks. Trading up will cost us some valuable draft picks in a pretty deep draft. If we stay put, we will still end up with a very good player regardless of what happens. If Ramsey, Jack, Bosa, Buckner, and Tunsil are all gone, then I would be very content with drafting Hargraves. Many "experts" have said he is arguably the best cover corner in the draft.

  10. We have got to get Jack. I'm hearing Dallas looking for a QB and Eagles want to trade up for Wentz..... 29th can't get here quick enough.

Can you imagine the Ravens with Myles Jack and Shaq Lawson and Mosley........ my god people that's how we won in 2000, 3 of the best linebackers in football, Lewis, Bowlware and Sharper.

Lawson won't make it out of the first round, you can forget that idea.

  11. I think we'll end up drafting VH3 with our first pick. Or we might be in for an awakening with Elliott being our pick! I can't understand why Elliott never made the conversation in the presser today. Although there isn't a big need for us at the moment, I would love to know what Eric and gang think of him. The second pick is going to be really exciting to see who we actually pick.

Elliot is a great player and I know we always go BPA, but I think there will just be to much defensive talent available to go RB at 6. We also don't have much of a need at RB, but we have a couple needs on our defense.

  12. The nightmare scenario is that Tunsil, Bosa, Ramsey, Jack, and Buckner go before we pick.

Very possible, but I also saw a mock draft that would be the dream scenario for us. It had Tunsil, Wentz, Buckner, then I believe Goff or Elliot (Offensive player is all I remember), then Jack going 5th to the jags. That would mean Ramsey falls right in our lap. Bosa would also be available. That would be the best possible scenario IMO, and we would get an instant upgrade on our defense.

We really need at least 2 teams in front of us to take offensive players. Maybe we can even get a third with a trade up. Just have to wait and see.

  13. Wouldn't surprise me if Buck Allen becomes our primary back with Forsett taking a back seat. I think he will still get a good bit of carries, but Allen proved that he deserves the ball in his hands more often than not. Then I think its a toss up between Taliaferro and West. Taliaferro needs to prove he can stay healthy, because West will definitely push him for a roster spot.

  14. The more I watch old film of the Ravens, the more it becomes devastatingly obvious, in games like when we were playing the Dolphins in the 2009 wild card game and had 4 interceptions, (in a game, not for the year) it was because we had pass rushers and a system (under Rex Ryan) that wasn't afraid to mix it up and generate pressure. We went from controlled chaos to boardroom tightly whiteys. We need to get the players to go back to that type of scheme, conversely, to be successful throwing the ball you have to have an upright QB. When we have lost, that is why. With all things considered, make a deal with Kubiak and get Clady and keep Monroe. Both are good enough but both have had medical issues. Between the two we should get through the year then draft a good prospect that falls with one of our many 4th round picks and get them ready for next year. Other than that, though the Ramseys, Hargreaves, and Treadwells are the sexy picks, it will be the Bosas, Tunsils, and Stanley's that make an immediate impact in today's NFL.

Look at the players on that defense though. Our defense carried us to the AFC championship team. We also had the best FS in the game in the middle of his prime. We just don't have players like that right now....

Greg Mattison was D coordinator 2008 - 2010. One winning season with Rex as DC,  2006.

Rex was DC in 2008, he went to the Jets in 09.

  16. I know l'm dreaming about this and is a very unlikely scenario but what if there a chance Ramsey fall to the Ravens. I just look on NFL.com and l read an article that the Chargers like interested in Myles Jack but l heard they like Buckner as well. Now if they draft Jack at number 3 overall that leaves Cowboys and Jaguars to take Ramsey (which is very likely) but if they take Buckner and the Cowboys take Myles Jack (which they like as well) that only leaves the Jaguars and Ravens to take Ramsey. That's close the Ravens can get to Ramsey and l hope not that the strengh of the schedule that what the Jaguars have (to overleap the Ravens a draft spot) is the only reason that the Ravens can't get Ramsey. I still like Myles Jack, and Bosa though. Ramsey: the best player in the Draft, Myles Jack: need and best player available, and Bosa: best player available will all be great picks. But like l said, if the draft goes like this Pick 1: Tunsil, Pick 2: Wenz, Pick 3: Buckner, Pick 4: Jack, Pick 5: Ramsey that's gonna hurt big time. ?

We will still land Bosa...which I will be pretty happy about. The scenario you mentioned would actually work out in our favor, because we are getting one of the best defensive players in the draft, at a position of need.

The worst case scenario would be the Titans going defense, Browns not taking a QB, and 3-5 going defense. That would hurt big time, but at least we would still get the best LT in the draft. Either way, we are going to get a very good player somewhere on our team. If you want one of the defensive guys, you better hope Titans go Tunsil, Browns go QB, and maybe a trade up for another QB. Hopefully the Cowboys fall in love with Ezekiel Elliot.

  17. With Wallace joining the squad and presuming Perriman gets on the field and is actually useful there, the biggest need this team has is coverage ability...anywhere. Which makes Jack a cant lose proposition because we can play him just about anywhere. He's Deon Buchannon but with more prototypical linebacker size. I kinda think that should be our guy.

After that youthful pass rusher depth and an OL upgrade or two are the next best things.

Jack is the prospect that I really hope falls to the Ravens. He would instantly upgrade our defense. Just imagining Mosely and Jack in the middle of our defense gives me goosebumps. Then maybe Spence in round 2.

  18. Brady -38 ,Brees-37, E. Manning- 35, Rivers -34 , Cutler-32

Old man time is catching up.

Brady might play till he is 45. Maybe it's just me, but he doesn't look like he is showing any signs of age at all. Their offensive philosophy fits him perfect, and could make him very productive for the next 3-4 years AT LEAST. Get's the ball out quick, makes very good decisions, and keeps winning. Old man time isn't winning that battle.

Well.... I still really think we are after Tunsil or Stanley in Rd.1! But if Biscotti is sincere... I think our draft looks very different. Round1. Patrick Ramsey - CB- FSU (insert and Start) Round # 2...William Jackson -CB- Houston (could also start and in a conference with AJ Green and Anotonio Brown, CBs are in high demand) Round 3. Shaun Oakman - DE -Baylor (giant-can add to the pass rush) Round 4. Malcolm Mitchell - WR -UGA (Stud WR if not for inj would be a 1st round pick and maybe top WR in this seasons draft- worth the pick here) Round 4 (from Lions) Travis Feeney - OLB - WASH (beast / freak pass rusher who could become the replacement for Suggs / Doom down the road) Round 5 (comp) Blake Martinez - ILB - Stanford (a jim harbs recruit who is a tackling machine and can help to replace DSmith and compliment CJ well) Round 6 Kolby Listenbee - WR /KR - TCU (speed to burn and can PR /KR) Round 6 (comp) Tyvis Powell -S - OSU (hitter with size / can grow under Leslie Frazier... has a lot of talent but also a very raw football player.). Round 7. Tayler Fallen - T- Memphis (Giant at 6'7" nearly 350 and can move fairly well) He will be an upgrade over Hurst and while a little bit of a project has enough ability to push Monroe for sure!

A month ago Tunsil and Stanley were considered top teir prospects. Since then, Tunsil has moved head and heels ahead of Stanley. Stanley really did himself a disservice at the combine with his interviews and horrible measurable for a top 5 prospect.

If for whatever reason Tunsil falls to 6 then Ozzie should take that pick to the bank! If Stanley is there at 6 I think we take someone else or trade out. Your probably right. Take someone in the second with more potential and slide him to LG until he's NFL ready to play LT.

I hear you on Stanley... but I really wonder if some of these guys are purposely sabotaging their interviews to ensure they get taken later by a perennial contender. I mean Come on... Stanley is a ND graduate - he is surely not a dumb guy.... its kinda like Shane Rey getting caught smoking weed 4 days before last years draft. He knew he was a top 10 pick... that pushed him back to later in RD 1 where he was able to be taken by the Broncos and finished his rookie season with a super bowl ring?

I highly doubt it, because if I'm not mistaken, I believe there is a couple million reasons to go in the top ten. I mean dollars being the couple million reasons. If they slide that far back in the draft I'm pretty sure they lose a good bit of money, so I don't imagine that's the case.
