  1. If you can't break 1000 yards rushing in 15 games, that's a little disappointing in today's game. It's really not that hard to break 1000 yards, as Forsett was on pace to do so last year and we can all agree that he wasn't setting the world on fire with his play. I'm by no means blaming the RBs, because a lot of factors come into play with RBs success. The browns are the browns, and the Colts and Raiders don't really run schemes that fit him, but watching him run just doesn't look good either. We are giving him a chance, that's it. No risk, possible reward. I don't see the problem with it. He could turn it around.
  2. I'm convinced Cleveland is not taking a QB and Myles Jack being gone before we pick. Agree, and the 2 players that I really want to see us get are Ramsey or Jack, but its not looking like we will get either. We need 2 QBs taken before us, and Tunsil, then we MIGHT get lucky to get Jack. I think we have a better chance to win the lottery than we do to draft Ramsey.
  3. You'd really address a position of absolutely no need with your first round pick? Most Ravens first rounds picks have been a bust anyway. Please, name those bust. Because in the last 20 years, I can think of maybe 2 that have been bust. Can you think of more? Our hit rate is WAY higher than our miss rate when it comes to first round picks.
  4. The way it sounds, his life is in jeopardy. Forget his NFL career at this moment, let's just hope he can get through it and keep his life. Prayers for Tray.
  5. I don't think there are as many holes as you think. DL is pretty solid, but we do need another pass rusher. We will get a solid ILB before the season starts beside Mosely. Why is safety a hole? We have like 10 of them, and Webb and Weddle will be very good IMO. CB isn't as big an issue as many think. Jimmy, Wright, Davis, Arrington can all play, and if it comes down to it, Webb can role down to the slot and Kendrick can come in at safety. Now OL is a different issue, but I wouldn't call it a hole. We lost a great player, but we have options. Monroe can be a good LT, he just needs to stay healthy. Jensen impressed some towards the end of the year, and can be a nasty run blocker. We have the draft to fill holes, wait until after that to make judgments.
  6. I was the same way, I was very confused as to why we were releasing him, and then we found out why. It's a shame the guy can't follow rules, because he is a good football player. I saw people complain that they need to change the marijuana rule, but you know what, its a rule. If you don't follow the rules, there will be consequences. He's one suspension away from being gone for a year, and if you blow a second chance here, there aren't to many organizations that will take you after us. Webb and Weddle, not a bad combo. Both are very good tacklers, and I think Webb will hold his own. Lewis, Brooks, and Elam are solid backups.
  7. Monroe will be our LT for right now. Honestly, when he is healthy he has played pretty well. He just doesn't stay on the field. Maybe the last two years were flukes and he can stay healthy, or we draft Stanley. Wagner also is a solid RT, he struggled early, but got better as the year went on. LG will be a battle between Urschel and Jensen, may the best man win. You can find a G in round 2-5 that could be a very good starter, so I would wait until the draft to make to many assumptions. I think Oz will fix our line.
  8. It would have hurt our team more if we kept Osemele for more than what we already offered. We couldn't afford it, period. I love the moves we made, as they fill holes that we really needed. Weddle has a good 3-4 years left in him. He played injured this year and was still one of the best safeties in the league. Wallace is only going to be 30 when the season starts, that's not that old for a WR. He still has plenty of speed to do the job he needs to do in Baltimore. Watson is a 1-2 year mentor for our young TEs. I really like that signing. We have the young talent, they just need developed. With Gilmore's injuries, and Boyle being stupid, this signing had to happen. So yeah, you might be the only person who doesn't like what we have done. Weddle is the best safety on our team already, Wallace makes our offense lethal, and Watson is a great mentor and leader for our football team. The other areas of need (LT, Pass Rusher, CB) can be added through the draft and should be added through the draft. We can really build our defense in this draft this year.
  9. Thats what we need. Let SSS, Aiken, Watson, Gilmore, and Williams work inside. Maybe even a little bit of Camp if he can stay healthy. Perriman and Wallace will take the tops off defenses. They can do more than just catch deep balls to. Our WR group just got better today.
  10. Walker should go to the practice squad, which will probably be good for his development, unless a team snatches him up which is always possible. Agree with your post though. It's really not that hard to figure this out. Cut Kendrick Lewis and the problem is solved.
  11. Ramsey or Buckner not Bosa or Myles:-) Myles might be the best player in the draft....
  12. I'm guessing Webb plays a lot of slot corner and a little safety. He isn't going anywhere and will probably be a big part of our defense. Elam and Brooks will be back ups.
  13. Webb isn't going anywhere as he can play the slot and we can disguise a lot of coverage's because of his versatility. Also, Webb may be our best tackler in the secondary. Webb has struggled in coverage the past 2 years, but he is constantly credited for being a good tackler, which he is. I think Kendrick Lewis is out of here. I don't think we will give up on Elam yet, nor Brooks. Weddle, Hill, Webb, Brooks, and Elam will make our roster next year.
  14. I think Weddle's best football is behind him and why are we interested in adding a slow, non playmaker like him in the deepest part of the secondary. Isn't the problem that we don't have players like that already? So to add another on doesn't make any sense to me, especially when you'll have to pay top dollar for him. I disagree. I think he would be beneficial and help create turnovers for our defense. He still has some good football in front of him, and I think he would be better than Kendrick Lewis, Webb, and anyone else we have. I think Will Hill and Weddle would be a heck of a backend for our defense.
  15. Probably right. Wallace isn't worth a lot of money anymore. If a team wants to pay him like a true starter, then let him go. We can use our money elsewhere.
  16. The reason Minnesota released him was because his cap number was north of 10 million. I think around 12 if I'm not mistaken. If your cap number is that high as a WR, you better put up some big numbers, which he did not. Mike Wallace isn't worth that kind of cap hit, and he knows that. I don't think he would come here and set the world on fire, but I think he would be a legit threat for us who can take the top off a defense. I could easily see 30-40 catches and some deep ball TDs. Just going to come down to him realizing he just isn't worth more than 2 or 3 million anymore.
  17. I think Wallace would be a good fit. Adds more speed to our offense, who can definitely produce. He can also help Perriman out with developing, along with SSS. SSS, Perriman, Aiken, and Wallace would be a pretty solid WR group. Then add in Watson, Gilmore, and Williams at TE, that is pretty exciting. This doesn't include the long list of WRs that are fighting for roster spots. I hope Camp can actually stay healthy. I'm think maybe a 1-2 year deal for Wallace at about 3 million per season. As for Weddle, he has it narrowed down to 4 teams, and I believe we are one of them. I think we will find out either tomorrow or Tuesday where he will be playing. Obviously he would help our defense, but who do you cut at S? Kendrick Lewis would be gone. Then do you start Will Hill or Webb? Hill has played well the past 2 years. If Webb is moving to FS, it will be interesting what they do. Will Hill is only 25 or 26 years old, so I hope he sticks with us for the long run. I personally don't think Weddle will choose Baltimore, but I do believe we have a good chance. Having SSS here will help, but finances are probably gonna be the issue. May be an interesting week for the Ravens.
  18. Right? A little low blow if you ask me. We had one of the best OLines in the league in 2014, but injuries hampered everything last year. Sorry we are smart enough not to pay him like a top 5 LT, when he hasn't proved he is worth that. We have the best G in football, and Osemele doesn't deserve more than Yanda.
  19. He won his money with the 2012 SB. After that, I'm ok with whatever they pay him. And so am I. That's just the going rate for Franchise QBs, and that is regardless to whether they have won anything or not. Flacco has at least earned his contract.
  20. I just want to point something out to the people that still bash Flacco's contract... Brock Osweiler just got paid $72 MILLION dollars for 4 years. That's 18 million dollars a year for a guy that has played 7 games, and went 5-2 in those games. Flacco has won more playoff games than Osweiler has regular season games. And people still think Flacco is overpaid.
  21. Your right....to sign someone.
  22. According to Field Yates, we have created 3 million in cap space by turning some of Yanda's base salary into a signing bonus. Hmmmmm.....maybe we are signing someone today.....
  23. I don't think it's more sure now than before KO was "half-officially" gone. Stanley was already the safest bet anyway. If we had the chance, then we should just jump them all and take Tunsil. It might cost us a ton of draft picks but he is the only true first round worthy LT in the draft this year. No way, Stanley is as good if not better than Tunsil. He has size, length, athleticism, toughness, etc. And much better footwork. Stanley = D'Brickashaw, Tyron Smith, Jake Matthews Tunsil = Trent Williams, Greg Robinson, Cordy Glenn Now, you can take this anyway you want, but many of the former scouts and "experts" say that Tunsil is possibly the best LT prospect to come out of college in a while. Everything I hear clearly has him as the best LT prospect, and every mock draft has him going ahead of Stanley. I haven't looked into it that much, but that must tell us something. I think if a team had to decide between both, Tunsil is going to be picked about 90% of the time. BUT, we aren't current scouts and teams may favor Stanley better. I think both would be very good options, but apparently Tunsil has potential to be a very dominate LT in this league for a long time. I don't care which one we pick, as long as they protect Flacco.
  24. You make good points, but I disagree with a lot of what you said. The Ben Watson signing is nothing more than a mentor, year or two solution. We have a very young group of TEs, but Gilmore just had surgery on both shoulders, and Boyle was extremely stupid. Maxx Williams has potential but that's where Ben Watson will be great for us, he can mentor him and teach Maxx and even Gillmore about the position. Also, out of the players we have lost, there is really only 1 that I can say hurt when he left and that McPhee. He had a great season, but the other players got paid a ton of money to do absolutely nothing. Art Jones has barely paid, and has underperformed when he has. Torrey got paid 40 million to get 700 yards receiving, that's an awful lot for that very mediocre performance. Ngata wasn't a 16 million dollar player last year. We needed cap space, he wasn't willing to help us out. We have younger, cheaper, and better players than Haloti now. Also, just because we don't have much cap space doesn't mean we can't handle money. That's what happens when you have to play good players consistently, it comes with winning. Here's the thing about the contracts that look bad now, we had no choice but to pay Pitta. He would have made that on the market anyway. He came back from his hip injury in 2013 and played relatively well. You can't predict injuries, I'm sorry. Same thing with Monroe, he looked like a solid option after 2013 as well, and when he has played for us, he has performed pretty well, he just can't stay healthy. Also, look at his track record, he hardly missed time before his contract with us. As for the draft, we haven't draft the best here of late, but it hasn't been that bad either. We have picked some really good players in the middle rounds, which some teams don't get near the production from middle rounds players like we have. We can be a playoff team, and we don't have as many holes as many believe. A good draft and good luck with health, and we will be right back in it.
