  1. True. I just want to see us run the ball a lot better, because if we don't, I don't see us making the playoffs.
  2. I think Joe Flacco is still pro bowl material. Yeah he wasn't perfect yesterday, but we have absolutely no running game and after the first quarter, Flacco got on a roll. I'm not liking the play calling so far. The Ravens failing in short yardage has nothing to do with Flacco at times. I'm tired of seeing those dumb pitches to the outside when we should be running between the tackles. And another thing, you can blame Harbaugh for the poor clock management, but Forsett ran out of bound when he should have known to stay in on a second down play. It's easy to point fingers to the men in charge, but you really have no idea whats going on in the game. We were also unlucky multiple times. Yeah the Pryor flag was BS, but Coleman was out of bounds on that first TD. Pitta wasn't quite set on that Moore reception that would have put the game away pretty much, and he also dropped a TD pass. The second interception by Flacco was just a little underthrown. I understand what he was doing, but he needs to put that at the back of the endzone instead of a jump ball. I think Flacco looks okay. Perfect? No. He will be just fine though. I'm more concerned with the running game and our defense getting off the field on 3rd down.
  3. It sounds like he was cut to save some money and I don't think the Ravens are going to invest that much in a backup player. I really doubt he would be a backup. He actually had a very good year last year and was one of the best pass protecting guards in the league. That would be a good signing IMO. We have the space to do it.
  4. If this is true then why they cut Terrance Brooks but not Kendrick Lewis? I'm scratching my head on this one. I'm wondering the same thing. I figured Brooks was a lock. Tackles well, has had his struggle in coverage but he was getting better. I'm honestly disappointed. Maybe Elam is sticking around... I would rather cut Elam than Brooks but Elam is lucky he's on IR. Man it's really tough for a good player go. Very hard decisions. I don't think Elam is on IR yet is he?
  5. I'm doubting they are cutting a guy like Amendola for a guy like Camp who has been hurt most of the past 2 years. Amendola isn't much better injury wise. He gets hurt often to.
  6. they dont need him though - they've already got edelman Doesn't matter. Camps is young and talented and would fit their system perfectly. They could cut Amendola, who is getting up there in age. They would find a way to get him on the field.

  8. They have been giving Camp days off all offseason, unless they announce something I wouldn't read too much into this. Campanaro is to good of a wr to get rid of... he`s staying put Camp has been waived with an injury designation according to Pro Football talk. Well if the Patriots signed him he gonna be dominating in New England. ? He's the type of WR they love, I could see them picking him up.
  9. I really didn't think we would release both Butler and Camp. Camp apparently has a calf strain and we want to resign him when healthy. I think we are going to sign Hester, and possibly someone else.
  10. Another surprise and kinda disappointing, apparently Terrance Brooks is getting waived...not exactly sure of the source but that's according to Rand Getlin.

  12. Don't forget Webby can play corner if we need him to. It's a risk because he can go down at anytime to, but I think keeping 5 is okay since we have players at another position who can jump in a play corner if the situations calls for it.
  13. This is probably one of the most absurd post I have seen in a while. You have to be a Redskins fan, or you have no clue about anything relating to the football business.
  14. I'd take our young guns over Kruger any day. Z. Smith is going to have a productive season, and Correa will get snaps at every LB position. Suggs and Doom will do their thing, and Judon will spell them in pass rush situations sometimes. Then add in McClellan who is stout against the run. Tell me, where is Kruger needed? He has had 2 decent seasons in his 7 year career. Suggs, Doom, Smith, Correa, Judon, and McClellan. Kruger doesn't fit here.
  15. Easy to say that Moore is head and shoulders above Perriman when Perriman hasn't had a chance to showcase his skills. I think holding your opinion is better than stating it when you haven't seen the kid play. Give him a chance first. Our fan base has that problem.
  16. I hope Judon can help our pass rush this season. It will be nice not having to rely on Suggs and Doom to get all the sacks/pressure with their age getting up there and the wear and tear on the bodies. Hopefully we can have a nice rotation between Suggs, Doom, Z. Smith, McClellan, and Judon playing OLB. I hope they let Correa also rush the passer a good bit. We have a lot of talent on the edges.
  17. OK - well, nonetheless, I still have hope that he'll have a rejuvenation of his career here - not anything like what was saw 4-5 years ago, but with a strong armed QB (unlike the one he would have worked with in the 2nd preseason game), that he can at least be considered a threat. Calling him "invisible" makes it sound as if he was worthless, but I don't know if that assessment is based on his being in for 1 or 2 possessions and didn't get a target or if he played for a significant chunk of the game and was ineffective. I hope to learn more with him in along with Joe. That will mean - how well we do when he's on the field and not only whether he catches the ball. Wallace will be just fine. I actually think he will have a big season for us this year. Maybe not 1000 yards, but I'm thinking 700-800 and maybe 6-8 TDs. Which, with the weapons we COULD have, that would be a nice contribution. Also, I'm pretty sure Mallett has a cannon. Not 100% on that, but I remembering hearing he has a strong arm. Nothing like Flacco though. Literally remember watching him at a college skills challenge and he just took a step and chucked one as far as he could, and he threw it 74 yards in the air.
  18. He played in the second game. He was invisible. I don't think that was Wallace's fault.
  19. 9 year vet to be exact Hard to believe this is going to be his 9th year.
  20. I agree with a lot of that but the two I don't think make it are Art Brown and KLM. Mosley and Orr will be the ILBs, with McCLellan and Correa being the backups. Suggs, Smith, Doom, and Judon will make a nice rotation on the outside. Correa can obviously rush the passer and play inside, and McClellan has been a solid player at OLB even though his pass rushing skills aren't the best, and he has played ILB before. There really isn't a place for Art Brown anymore. KLM is clearly a numbers game. He just doesn't make the cut. The injuries hurt him big time.
  21. From a coaching perspective, if a guy is healthy and available to go, then I am going to use him in whatever capacity I think helps the team win. I'm not going to use this player only for punt returns when he can help move the chains on 3rd down and really improve our offense because his durability is a question.
  22. Which led to McClain selfishly asking for more carries. He was wearing a t-shirt in camp/practice that had "more carries for McClain" on it. Don't quote me on the exact verbiage. True. Look what happened to McClain once he left here as well.
  23. Camp would see the field more than Hester would. We would literally sign him for one reason and that is to return kicks. We have to many positions where we need to keep some guys that are valuable to us, like TE, WR, and RB. I don't want to use a valuable roster spot on a guy who just returns kicks. No thanks. Let Camp/Dixon return kickoffs, and Camp handle punt return. Camp has talent at WR, while Hester would never see the field on offense.
  24. Perriman said he felt faster and that they weighed about 3 lbs. I think he had dreads when he ran a 4.25.....so they probably didn't slow him down that much.
  25. There is a lot of time left to develop this team. It may ttake us 8 games into the season until we really start playing well, I just hope that we are not 2-6 or 3-5 at the time. We need a good start with the way our schedule finishes. We have the talent to be 11-5 or maybe a little better, but it's also hard to consistently win in this league. Look at how many games we lost by a TD or less last season. This year we may get lucky and win a majority of those games. We may have enough talent to come out on top instead of falling a TD short, that's the difference between 5-11 and 11-5. As long as we are in a playoff position at the end of the season, it really doesn't matter what your record is as long as you get hot at the right time. We lost 3 games in a row in 2012, blew out the Giants, then the rest is history (week 17 we sit the starters). Don't panic yet, I understand your stance though. There are concerns, but we could also be a lot better when the season begins, or as bad as you think. I hope we stay healthy, because I think we are going to compete every single week with whoever we play. Hopefully we just come out on top. GO RAVENS!!
