  1. Harbaugh has some of the most grueling practices in the NFL. Hard work is not the problem. Relax, its only the preseason. If this happens in week 1 or 2, then yes start complaining. And we don't need to strive for perfection, its impossible to get. We need to strive for excellence.
  2. This is tough. Hopefully the kid stays strong mentally. This injury bug can get the heck outta Baltimore.
  3. No offense to Steve Smith, but I think Upshaw is the last dude I would wanna fight in a back alley. Guy is a beast and mean as heck!
  4. It was just the 2nd day of camp. And if you aren't hearing his name, that could be a good thing. May not be making flashy plays, but at least it doesn't say he is making mistakes/looking bad
  5. I really hope Campanaro can shake the injury bug. So much potential
  6. Football is finally upon us fellow fans!
  7. IMO McPhee is the only "ascending" player there. I get what John means. Those are replacable players. Jimmy Smith, Flacco, Justin Tucker, those are ascending and not really replacable as the others. CJ Mosley, B. Williams, Jernigan, those are gonna be players we try to keep.
  8. The guy has so much potential. He could really become a great chain mover. Just has to stay healthy.
  9. Disagree with all of this. Yanda graded out as the best pass blocking guard in 2012 and one of the overall best for the year. He tore his rotator cuff which required surgery (which he played with) and couldn't prepare for the season the way he wanted. Also, look who was playing around Yanda in 2013. He still graded out positive with around 10 something. Not bad. Then he comes back healthy and again proves that he is the best in the league. He is consistent, definition of tough, and isn't showing any decline. Even if he does, he is still a above average starter. If he was showing signs of decline, he wouldn't have bounced back and have the year he had. Injuries happen. This dude had emergency surgery on his leg and still played that Sunday. We need to make Yanda a Raven for life.
  10. Eisenburg is right though. Webb knows how to take care of himself. You think he isn't taking care of himself because he has tore his ACL twice? Thats a freak accident. It can happen to anyone who takes great care of their body. What he means is that he won't put himself in position to get hurt, such as taking big shots and trying to do to much. If it helps us win, I'm all for it.
  11. I really doubt it. We will keep at least one. Ozzie won't let them both walk. I see us keeping Yanda and losing Osemele. It will suck because he is young, but Yanda is the best guard in the league and playing great football.
  12. Asking questions like this will make the kid lose confidence. Its June. He won't catch everything. Remember week 1 against the Bengals, Steve Smith Sr dropped about 3 balls. He catches the ball just fine.
  13. I hate hearing Sizzle talk like this, but nobody can beat father time. Just hope he has a good couple years left.
  14. I wouldn't bet on it. The only jerseys I would buy would be Flacco, Steve Smith SR. (Just because he will retire a Raven even if he only has a year or two left), Mosley, Suggs, Dumervil, and thats about it lol. I would get Perriman but I want him to prove his worth first
  15. I really don't know why they would release Juice. We will still need a FB and he played very well last year. He is also dynamic and I think we need to get him involved more. He needs to hold onto the ball a little better though. But he isn't going anywhere. I also highly doubt we keep 7 WRs. I say 6 is the limit, and if Pitta is healthy and comes back, he may have more of a WR role instead of TE. We have blockers so all Pitta has to do is focus on catching passes. That may force us to only keep 5 WRs with 4 TEs.
  16. I knew the corner back market was trash. We obviously saw that last season. But the way you reacted to the signing seemed like you were bashing it. Then a couple of us pointed out to you that this is nothing more than a depth signing. Plain and simple. Don't come off like you expect every signing to be a great player, then we wouldn't argue. I wasn't arguing, just pointing out this is not a player who will probably play a lot barring injuries. This guy is a decent signing in case of injury. He has experience, can play somewhat, and is better than someone like Dominique Franks.
  17. So you expect us to pick up someone who is a pro bowl player now? Injuries happen, and corners are in high demand. Sorry, but we aren't going to feild a team full of players like Jimmy Smith. If injuries happen really at any position, it will most likely decline in production. The dude is clearly picked up for depth, at least he has experience and can play somewhat. Hopefully we stay healthy, but I think this guy is at least serviceable if we need him.
  18. He will be the 4th corner on the depth chart at best, which he may not even win that job either. Just another body for the CB group. Its not like he is a sure fire guy who will see a lot of playing time. No need to get bent out of shape
  19. You don't know that he wasn't in top shape. Some guys just have bad luck. He could come back and never get hurt again.....but the chances don't look good lol. I honestly feel bad for the guy, he showed some promise. Just can't shake the injury bug. Hard to keep him around if you can't rely on him.
  20. I wouldn't sleep on Kamar Aiken. I could see him being our number 2 if Perriman isn't ready. I think he will definitely see a lot of snaps no matter what. He came on strong at the end of the year last season. I think Perriman will be the number 2, but if he struggles a little I think it will be Steve Smith then the rest will be by committee. Brown, Aiken, and Camp all showed promise last year. Gonna come down to who shows they deserve more in the next 3 months
  21. Fans from other teams know we don't suck. Jealousy at it finest. People are tired of watching our organization be successful while their team sucks. Other successful organizations usually admit that we are successful amd hate playing us.
  22. It does free cap space, but we still eat the dead money. The reason we traded him instead of cut him was to get something back in return instead of just cutting him and getting nothing.
  23. How will Juice be in trouble? He is the only FB on the roster and played very well last year. I think we need to get him more involved in the passing game. If Pitta returns healthy, the WRs will be in trouble as I think we will use Pitta more as a receiver than a TE. If Pitta is healthy and decides to play, I think we keep 5 WRs and 4 TEs. It will be interesting to watch, just a shame we can't keep them all. Im sayimg SSS, Perriman, Brown, Aiken, and Campanaro are who make it. If we keep a sixth receiver, Butler, Waller, and Carter will battle it out.
  24. I don't think so. I love Ngata, hate to see him go, but we actually have guys in place that we KNOW can play in his place. We didn't have that when Corey Graham left. Brandon Williams has already established himself as one of the best nose tackles in the game. If him and Jernigan stay healthy, they could be the best duo in the league. Jernigan can actually rush the passer a little bit, which is big. We just need these guys to stay healthy, and if they do we will be fine. Not to mention we have Canty, Davis, KLM, Guy, etc. We got some major beef up front.
  25. Kinda weird that when he was released, it felt like he was already in a Ravens uniform. Ozzie does a great job locking up guys that make a ton of sense.
