Sad that Brazil could probably field 2 teams that could compete for a WC or Olympic Gold and we can't even qualify. I'd heard some good things about young US guys like Lletget. Still the shock to me is that Uruguay chose Arevalo over Forlan. I know Forlan isn't what he once was, but Arevalo over him?
I've been driving an '03 Celica for about 10 years, and I just bought myself a 2012 Mazda 3. I do a ton of driving back and forth between southern Delaware and New Jersey, Philadelphia, etc. so the most important thing to me is gas mileage at an affordable price.
Mario Balotelli was terrific today. And Buffon was Buffon. So much for me thinking Germany was the best side in the tournament. A/N: People keep questioning whether Ronaldo should have been slotted earlier in PKs for Portugal, but the fact is Bento's decision making in part got what I think was a subpar Portugal team to the semifinals of the European Championships.
Germany is annihilating Greece. The look by far the best side in this tournament. Penalty kick meant nothing at that point, but it was stupid anyway, IMO.
The same thing has been said about messi at international level as well and he has a far superior supporting cast at argentina than ronaldo does at portugal. Messi fans throw out ronaldos poor international play and ignore his own, really annoying that
That's true - Messi has grown up with guys like Higuain and Aguero, not to mention Tevez and Rodriguez that were around when he first came in to take some pressure off. Ronaldo has had a barrage of players come in an out - Postiga is just hot and cold, Almeda and Nani have been in and out of the lineup, etc.
Top 5 talent he is arguably the best player in the world. You can make a case for him or messi, no one else comes close
I agree it's him and Messi, what I meant was even people who say he's overrated still call him a top-5 player. But up until this tournament he hadn't really done anything with Portugal at a major tournament - 5 goals since 2004. And that's what people say, that he doesn't show up the way other top players do for their national teams. Now in one match he scores 2. And he's got a great opportunity IMO to help Portugal advance - the Czechs somehow got through despite giving up more goals than they scored, and I think Ronaldo can really do something against them.
Cristiano Ronaldo finally scores. Maybe that gets the monkey off his back finally. I know his team isn't anywhere close to as good as his Real Madrid team, but come on, even his worst detractors acknowledge the guy is a top 5 talent, and he NEEDS to play better than he has been for his national team.
sounds good, anyone else have some good movie reccomendations. anyone here seen A serbian Film
I've thought about renting it, but some of the themes i.e. necrophilia, etc., I just don't know if I want to bother watching them.
Just saw Prometheus last night. I personally didn't think too much of it.
I suppose I can admit I'm Jersey-born, but grew up in Lewes, Delaware. It was nothing but farm country when I grew up - the Rehoboth Outlets have really changed everything - economically for the better I suppose, but I stopped going to the beach in the summer a long time ago - waaaay too crowded and touristy for me. Fortunately there are still a few good early and late weeks every year that I can hit before big-time crowds arrive.
Watched Planet Terror last night and loved it. I want to see Machete and Death Proof soon as well.
The one with Danny Trejo?
It most definitely is
Sweet. I thought my eyesight was going bad, but at least I know I can still count.
One question: Is that a cat staring at a computer screen with a second cat starting at a computer screen with a 3rd cat staring at a computer screen of a 4th cat staring at a computer?
I've never heard of him...
Soderbergh? Did Traffic, and all of those Ocean's 11 remakes.
Escape from New York was good. And yeah Milla Jovovich does need to stop acting. Her best movie was Dazed and Confused. I don't think she had one line in that movie. And I'm also on the fence with Contraband. It looks pretty good, but I can only stand so much Mark Wahlberg.
Was she even in that movie? Haven't seen it in at least a decade, but I just remember Jason London and a young Adam Goldberg (and the only reason I even know who Adam Golberg is, is because of The Hebrew Hammer).
Couldn't agree more. His little monologue at night was my favorite part of the movie.
Lol. "I'm gonna cut yo' name into him."
Just watched Predator again for the millionth time. I still don't get why critics hated it, it's the greatest movie ever made.
My favorite part, IDK why, is the part where Bill Duke's character goes nuts after Jesse Ventura's dies. I think the movie would have been even better if he'd stayed alive.
Am I the only one that thinks Haywire looks cliché and not worth the money
A lot of people who went to early screenings said it was basically a poor Bourne Identity knockoff. Not sure if I'd pay the money I'd have to to go see that.

Community, anything USA puts out these days, toss in a few of those "do-it-yourself" shows when I have the time.
