I feel like something is brewing....It was one year ago from tomorrow that we signed Steve Smith Sr. Could tomorrow be the day we get a couple acquisitions like Stevie Johnson, Dwyane Bow, Scott Chandler, and/or Kenny Stills?
Just heard this Bill Polian character on ESPN saying that Ngata is a cap casualty because of Flacco's contract and that the Lions won the trade. He couldn't be more wrong and ignorant.
question, is devin smith still getting first round consideration after disappointing some folks with his 40 time?
Dissapointing? He ran a 4.44. Torrey ran a 4.41 and he's plenty fast. Plus Smith still has his pro day. I suggest you stick to watching game tape when evaluating deep speed - it's a lot more involved than a straight-line 40 time. Smith is still a borderline late first rounder - he's got better hands and route running ability than Torrey did coming out. If not us, a team like the Patriots who really have lacked a true vertical threat since Moss left could take him at the back...
does Haloti know he's not the best DT/DE in league anymore? Take the pay cut and be a team player if you want to win a Super Bowl sheesh
So let me get this straight - 5 years ago Ngata signs a deal that would take him to the age where many players at his position RETIRE, completing 10 full seasons in the NFL, and he should expect a restructure at the end of it? This isn't a QB deal - evidence shows QBs can play well into their mid to late 30s. The greatest DTs in NFL history had a career between 10-13 years. Complete shot in the dark to expect a player at his position to restructure at his age.

Whether or not Ngata is worth the deal doesn't change the fact that the Ravens agreed to it in the first place. They knew the risk they were running. Haloti has no reason to restructure unless he wants to continue playing for Baltimore specifically. If he wants to play out his deal, or go somewhere else, that's the Ravens' problem.
wow...disappointed in Torrey. Thought he would appreciate home more than anyone else in the NFL. T-sizzle, Ray, Ed, all appreciated home more than money. Good luck to Torrey.
Torrey Smith just wrote a blog saying he isn't coming back to the Ravens!
really sad Jacoby's gone. Anquan and Jacoby were the only reasons why we won the super bowl in 2012
Underthrown? Yeah if he was trying to throw it to the parking lot - it was perfectly placed to land in Jacoby's unsure hands - it was so overthrown Rahim Moore didn't bother moving back any further because he didn't think it would go that far. Seriously, first Josh Shaw a first rounder and now this.
Ravens met with only 4 DB's. PJ Williams, Marcus Peters, Kevin Johnson, Quandre Diggs. Lets see who they narrow down their interests with Private interviews.

You keep talking about prospects that are not likely to be the best player available at either the first or second round pick, so expecting one of them to be the pick is very unrealistic. I don't know why you keep trying to force a CB in the first round, because based on the talent pool it's very unlikely.

im upset with combine so far, jaelen strong put himself way out of our range with his verticals and 40 times.
There are more receivers than just Jaelen Strong that could come in and help this team. Now if we do something foolish again like waiting until round 7 to pick a receiver, then I'd be worried. But let's face it - if Joe throws to Rashad Greene, he's got pro bowl potential. If Johnny Manziel is throwing to Jaelen Strong, they could be calling Strong a bust this time next year. It's as much about the situation as it is the player, unless you're a freak like Calvin Johnson
Today the Patriots single handedly destroyed the honor of the Lombardi & tarnished its image. On top of that, they have destroyed any meaning that SB MVP held by awarding it to Tom Brady after a 2 INT game. Shameful.
If it's any positive out of this, last time we lost to the Patriots in the playoffs, we won the Super Bowl next season. Hope that is the case next season.
Brady freeing up the Patriots cap space. Hey Joe, want to free up some cap space for us?
The offseason isn't even here yet. Why the Pats made this move now, IDK, but there was no reason to - it makes no difference whether they do it now or a few weeks from now. So there's still time for the FO to do so. Even still, his cap hit for next year is actually lower than this year's - doesn't start getting crazy until 2016.
