I've just checked the Champions League standings for the season, and we'll be having another all-Madrid final this time round.
This is one final I'd like to see.
I couldn't agree more, Steve - and should that come to pass, I would only be hoping for the Essendon Bombers to be taking part, as Essendon is my side in the AFL.
Maybe someone could bring back the "College All-Star Game" from a number of years ago - where the graduated senior players from the previous college season take on the Super Bowl champions, and have the proceeds go to charity.
The game was a mainstay of the original Soldier Field, and it had been the unofficial kickoff to the football season.
I know it would have to clear the college sanction, and also the NFL - as a number of NFL coaches and GMs may not want to risk some of their draft choices in this game, yet I feel it could be done - with safety concerns getting top priority.
I used to fantasize about an all-night football jamboree many years ago; this idea of yours gives me ideas of what I can do with my edition of the board game "Second Season".
You inspire me, Steve0x.
I'll admit that I've been one for the footy since the early to mid eighties, when we had Essendon and Hawthorn dominating the league, and I do enjoy the footy!

Scuttlebutt has it that one of the matches set for WrestleMania will have the New Day going against the League of Nations.
I'm still trying to figure out whose side to take if that one goes on the bill.
I would like to see the NFL TV Follies brought out to market on DVD; this was an interesting "Follies" show for its time - especially when you factor in the talents of the late, great Jonathan Winters in this show.
I know I may sound old, but I am thinking of getting "Thunderbirds" on DVD - it was a fine show when I was growing up, and it's still a fine show to this day.
I would like to see an Unconverted touchdown be made to be worth seven points, with the conversion either run or passed from the two yard line - just as the legendary World Football League did back in the seventies.
I haven't had the chance to catch the new episodes of Mr. Robot, yet I like the premise of the program, for it couldn't have come at a more crucial time.
I tend to agree with you on the 2022 World Cup, Nightman, however, in regard to having some of the matches here in the States, the venues would need natural grass - per FIFA rules; if natural grass could be used at M&T, it may just pass inspection.

I suppose some of you have already heard, but I feel I must let all of you know - one of the greats from the days of the territories passed away this past Saturday: Archie "The Stomper" Gouldie, better known in the States as "The Mongolian Stomper". Archie passed away at the age of 79; he was a competitor of some force, of whom it was said "he could take the pain". He was relentless in his matches, and his career lasted fifty years.
Archie's funeral will be tomorrow in East Tennessee. He will be missed.
I suppose this move qualifies as a fait accompli, since it seemed to be in the works for some time. At least, that's what it looked like from my vantage point.
