I'll tell you all what I told my 10yo. As disappointing as Christmas was for our Ravens, I'm glad it wasn't the empty feeling a loss in the postseason leaves us. They still play one more week. Next season starts Sunday. Plain and simple. Cincinnati has had our number in recent years--we know this. If they can own Pittsburgh for four straight, including postseason, they can own Cincy (who wins nothing when it matters). Of all the postseason things I want for this team, it's a division championship *and* a first round bye. Make the opposition come to Baltimore and deal with us, the fans. No more road playoff games. Make them come to Baltimore. Next season begins Sunday. Time to go to work.

Jacksonville should actually be picking after the Ravens since they beat them head-to-head this year. Oh wait, no they didn't.

I said this the other day on a forum here, so I'll trot it out again. If the Ravens are going to deal for anybody, I'd just as soon they send a 5th rounder to Miami for Kenny Stills. He's got way more to prove than Jeffrey,who will already command big bucks in FA based on his past success. And Stills is also finishing out his rookie deal, is not being used by his current employer the way he should be, and the Blackbirds have already sent a draft pick to Miami for a DB who's yet to see the field. It makes too much sense and yet, I'm sure we'll be forced to watch Aiken and Marlon Brown in perpetuity.

How about a shot to the arm, FO? Offer up a fifth rounder to Miami for Kenny Stills. Face it. We're not going to see Perriman this year and Aiken/Brown aren't even close to WR2s. You already gave Miami a draft pick for a DB who was inactive yesterday. What's another pick for a player--who can actually ball-- and suit up?!?!!!

All this talk of Pees must go. I'm disappointed with my fellow Ravens fans. Seriously, this pants-wetting about the team has got to stop. You either believe or get off the bus. I, for one, shall not accept anyone's contention that this team is not one of the 6 best in the conference. They do need to start playing like it, though...immediately.
