  1. I believe this game will come down to whoever makes the most splash plays. I believe we have that edge on those but Dak can throw the ball very well and they have a varied playbook to get guys open in space. I just hope we aren't in Zone D all game and if that IS the game plan, I sure hope our guys are studying game film till the wee hours so we can pick off a few!
  2. I see why some may dislike what Suggs did however, it is Suggs being Suggs. He's getting into Dak's head a little bit but also calling himself out to be a force come Sunday. As long as he brings it against Dallas, he can do those type of things and I'll have no problem with it. He's not beating his wife, getting arrested or getting into fights on the field so he's cool. Suggs has come a long way since his rookie year when the team voted him as most Ugly! :-)
  3. I agree, let Doom get a few plays under his belt in Dallas and see how he responds, both physically and performance wise then plan on bringing him out 100% against Cincy if all goes well. Looking forward to seeing CJ get back out there and having Yanda back is a big help too. I'm getting a sense that our guys are preparing for a tough game but have every confidence they could pull an upset. Dallas is going to be tough right up to the last 25 seconds if the Pittsburgh game was any indication so I'll just expect the worst and hope for the best. GO RAVENS!
  4. They also hadn't won 8 games in a row either before Pittsburgh so that doesn't matter much.
  5. Love this post! Right on the money!
  6. I'm going to go with, "We don't stand a chance of winning this game". Maybe then, Joe will play like he means it and our O line will protect him and everyone will be going for the brass ring for 60 minutes. From what I saw, Dallas has a penalty issue so maybe that will help us out some as well. Win or lose, I just hope everyone brings it, come game time. We love being the under dog and boy are we! Time for some of the young guys to make a name for themselves. GO RAVENS!
  7. Our pass rush is going to be key, if we expect to make it to the playoffs. We need to get pressure with 4 or less and our CB's will need to be on their toes the ENTIRE game. A few more first downs by our Offense would go a long way in letting our D get a breather so I expect the coaches to have them running wind sprints in practice the rest of the season!
  8. I'll believe we've turned a corner if we beat Dallas next week. So far, our "tremendous games" have been against failing teams. Getting a win against the 7-1 Cowboys, even if it's only by 1 point, will go a long way!
  9. Ya, Joe has been practicing that signature move all season. I'm just glad he had a chance to do it after the play was over for once.
  10. I would say the difference was playing a flailing Squeelers squad with a hurt QB and playing the worst team in football last night but then again, I'm a glass half empty kind of guy. :-)
  11. Ya, Ya, Don't get too excited. Remember, this was against the worst team in football. We needed and got the W but that was the last team of Girl scouts we get to play this season.
  12. Average?,,,, Average??? That's sure a positive outlook! Flacco SUCKS!
  13. It's more than just having him held accountable man. He had no offensive line last year and he's go no offensive line again so far this year. Offense is all based on rhythm and being in sync. When your play calls for a 5 step drop and gives your receivers those 4 seconds to get to the spot on the field and your QB is able to make the drop and make the pass then you will have a successful QB and offense. When you are calling those very same plays that call for a 5 step drop but by the 3rd step your QB has a defender in his face or on his back it's kind of hard to concentrate on footwork when you're scrambling out of the pocket. Give him the same protection he was getting on 2012 post season and see what he can do. Look at Prescott and Ez in Dallas - their OL is a beast making holes like parting of the Red Sea and Prescott has all the time in the world back there. Give the QB some protection!!!! Bologna! Joe has time more often than not to make a play. In a perfect world, we'd like our QB to have all day to throw but that's not how it goes. He needs to make better decisions because we ALL KNOW that he's NOT going to have 4 seconds every down so have a backup plan for gosh sakes. There are several options, Roll out of the pocket, Step up into the pocket, Run (As he did last Sunday) or throw it away and so on. It may be "Hard to concentrate on footwork when you're scrambling" but that's why he gets paid so well. Figure it out! Our O line is doing fine, not great but fine. It ain't all on them! Also, if we ARE calling "5 step drop" plays, that's just asinine on the coaches part and I doubt we're doing that!
  14. I think its important to remember through the tough times that we are fans of the Ravens. I hear a lot of people that sound like they would rather support another team. I remember hearing exactly the same thing in 2012 when we lost a couple games in a row. Perhaps we should appreciate what has happened and where we are as we encourage our team to get better. I think hating people, being sick of them and that we suck, sounds like someone who would be better suited supporting a team that is perfect all the time. We have 2 super bowls in less than 2 decades and a QB coming of a serious knee injury. Ben had a minor injury to his knee and how well did he play yesterday? He wasn't as good as Joe, he threw 4 balls that should have been interceptions, our defense just can't catch, and until we went into prevent zone with a 21 - 0 lead Ben could do nothing. I was there when the 2000 Ravens defense got us a super bowl after no TD's after 5 games and I was there in 2012 when the defense got us into the playoffs where Flacco shined. Looked at Flacco's stats. This is who he is, who he has always been except for when he is in the playoffs. We have always leaned on our defense. If our defense gets there and Flacco comes alive in the playoffs, I can see you bandwagon fans just piling on. I totally agree with you fusuymada..... I am probably only one of very few right now, but I am still not going to throw Joe under a bus. Up until this season, he has given all he has to this team for 8 years, several playoff wins, a Super Bowl win, and has virtually kept us in most every game along the way these last 8 years. Even last year, he did everything you could ask of a QB, scored enough points in most games to win, but it was the defense that let us down in those games. And lets not mention the 2 tons of season-ending injuries to half the team last year. So this is the first year Joe is not doing well, and I am sure HIS season-ending injury has nothing to do with it (just a little sarcasm)..... I don't understand how one year out of nine, so many fans are wanting Joe gone, or wished he had torn his knee again yesterday, or any other number of derogatory sentiments toward him. He just doesn't deserve the nasty vitriol, and I don't think any other player or coach of ours deserves it either..... Bull, Flacco absolutely deserves it. I'll cut Stanley some slack on penalties because he's a rookie however, Joe is a 120 million QB that has 9 years under his belt and he has digressed the last couple years. Most of his issues are correctable but it's not happening. That man has always thrown into double and triple coverage's or just throw it up and let his receivers "go get it". Flacco throws off his back foot a lot and that just happens to be his "bad leg", not to mention how he has no pocket awareness and will bail out before he needs to or not throwing it away before taking a sack. All correctable things but we keep seeing the same mistakes from him time after time. I don't want Joe gone, I want him to step up!
  15. I will mention that Webby has been looking terrible all season but Sunday, he was all over the field. I'll blast him (Or any player for that matter) when they deserve it but Webb stepped his game up for sure! Hope he can keep that kind of play going.
  16. The Steelers weren't playing well at all. While our defense did well, some credit has to go to Pittsburgh for having more penalty yards than Offensive yards. We looked a lot like the team we were before the Bye, only Pittsburgh helped us out a lot. Ben wasn't himself by any means but still put up more passing yards than Joe.
  17. We won this game despite Joe and I'm sick of seeing that all the time now. (Although it helped that Pittsburgh was stinking up the place so much, they looked a lot like us, including big Ben throwing like Joe!). When Mallett came in, I was excited! I'm not saying Malett is the future or that I was glad that Joe may have been hurt. I would't wish that on any player but it would have been nice to see a lower salary QB expose Joe for his crappy play. If Mallet would have stayed in there for one series and marched us down the field, all hell would be breaking loose now. I bet Harbs was sweating bullets too, for just that reason and Joe got off the field and came back really fast too. That's the fastest I've seen him move in a couple years. I think Joe was thinking the same thing. Didn't want to give Ryan any chance to show him up.
  18. So the title and the article are saying the same thing....Who's playing and who's not???? It's questionable. Would love to see SSS and Stanley out there. Web could use another couple games rest though I think. :-)
  19. Good luck in your man cave with Squeely fans, KidNme :) Yes- LET's GO RAVENS!!! Thanks CQ1! We'll be starting off the day's Mojo with some 12ga target practice in the back yard. My Steeler fan guests don't know it yet but, I got orange clay targets I painted Steelers names and jersey numbers on. Should be fun! "PULL"! Thats a classic.......as long as the target doesn't later become the television. If you run out of targets, flinging some Maalox- if any are left, make great targets :) :-), Naw, the clay targets are cheap. The big screen TV, not so much! I got a few pumpkins to splatter after the game If we need to. They're cheap after Halloween and I'm keeping them blank just in case we have to paint a couple Ravens jerseys on them to vent a little but hopefully it's to let our Squeeler fans get some payback for the stomping we're going to give them! Oh ya, we'll also be serving Purple Kool-aid during the game! :-)
  20. "Burnell" has no choice. He's a Raven now and he'll feel the tingle of the rivalry come game time. I don't see how he can avoid it at M&T stadium. He's gotta bring it. Lets go Ravens!
  21. :-) Right? Probably just in case someone goes down during the game.

  23. Weather it's the Steelers or the Browns, we tend to keep them close no matter who we play. I have little doubt that we'll play better after having the Bye and with the extra week to game plan, we should be able to throw in a few wrinkles that get the Squeelrs off balance, for the 1st half. It's the 2nd half we tend to suck at. Both teams are rested so no real advantage there. My man cave will be split between Steeler fans and Ravens fans this weekend so although I do expect a close game, we need to pull it out or I'll be hearing it for at least the rest of the season. The players may be able to forget the "last game" but us fans have to live with it forever! :-) LET's GO RAVENS!!!
  24. Throwing the O line under the bus because Joe can't get it done won't work! Other QBs are getting the same pressure and producing! This Is The NFL! I'd like to see our coaches have a pass rusher with long nerf arms on, coming at Joe from the sides during practices. Not to hit him (OK, maybe a smack upside the head once or twice would make me feel better!) but to get joe better at pocket awareness and how to roll out or step up into the pocket. He needs to stand tall as long as he can and throw off his front foot but he always seems to be ready to run or flop as soon as he feels there MAY BE pressure coming soon. This is football and getting tackled is part of the game however, the QB is the best protected player on the field, just ask Lady Brady.
