  1. Although I didn't think of my statement that way when I wrote it, upon further reflection, ya, that's what I was saying. If Marty calls a pass play, 1st down on the Eagles 10 with us in control of the lead, and Joe says "Marty's letting me get 3 TD's in this game", then I'm not sure he was thinking of anything else but stats because if it were me, I would have given the sidelines a weird look with my hands in the air as if to say "What, Seriously???"
  2. Wish in one hand and crap in the other and see which one gets filled up faster John. That one dumb move nearly killed my (and our) season I was so mad! (I'm still mad!) Again, we're talking football 101! On the 10, You run 3 running plays, meander back to the line (We know you guys can do that one!) run the play clock down to 2 seconds on each one and if you don't punch it in, you kick a field goal (I only mention this because although I know we fans all know this but, evidently, Marty doesn't). We have no hope if we're going to continue to make these very simple and bonehead mistakes over and over again. You could take someone out of the stands and do better in the last 2 games we have left! I'm not even going to go into detail where the heck Joe thought he was throwing it to. STUPID, STUPID, STUPID and it almost cost us our season! Joe says "Wow, Marty's going to let me get 3 TD's in this game" Seriously, THAT'S what you were thinking JOE? That tells me a lot too! I'd like to say it would be a different story if it were just me and my buddies playing out back but I know I would have run as much time off the clock by running the ball. A pitch out, Half back delay and at the most, I might have thrown a screen or end a round. To make matters worse, later, when we're backed up to OUR OWN 10yd line, THEN, we decide to run it 3 times! SMH!!!!
  3. Sounds like a sack fest for us huh?
  4. Ya and we're 5-2 at home so there's that.
  5. I knew someone would bring that up. So NE scored 16pts in one Qtr. That's insurmountable with 3 Qtrs left to play? No one's unstoppable. No excuse. They hit the panic button way too early.
  6. We should have run the ball more against NE and that was obvious to me early in the 2nd Qtr even my wife who is more into the individual players than the X's and O's was complaining about that however, we should start out as balanced as we can against the Eagles, sort of like you do when you go fishing. You're not sure what the fish will bite each day until you throw a Spinner bait, top water Popper or bottom fish with a worm. Our issue isn't solely on how much we run or pass, it's not making the adjustments according to what our opponent is giving us. If Philly is in a weak zone all game long like Miami was, throw the heck out of it until they show they can stop it. IF they decide to try what NE did and only rush 3 or 4 and go into strong coverage, we should run it more. The great thing about our team is we have the tools to do either. We just need to pay attention during the game more. I'm just an armchair coach but sure feels like our coaches could do better if they just went fishing a few times! :-)
  7. Nothing. That's his golden boy. Campanaro has been hurt most of his short career so I doubt he's reached "Golden boy" status and Harbs has no love lost for anyone who fumbles the ball and I mean no one! You fumble and the best thing that could happen to you on this team is to warm the bench for a game or two. Fumble again and you'll be looking for another team to play on. Harbs don't play when it comes to fumbling. Now if he just took that attitude for other things.
  8. I'm always rooting for as much Ravens football as we can get. We can win all 3 games for sure. Will we, who the heck knows but we "can" win them and boy would that be nice. We start with Sundays game against the Eagles and we'll go from there. If we do make the playoffs and are one and done as some say, at least we got one more game to watch than we did last year. Just hoping we get out of this game healthy so we can play Pitt at full strength. LET's GO RAVENS!
  9. Many of us fans tend to figure out what the issues are with our team despite what the media tries to feed us. The coaches and players are starting to feel the heat. That can make us better or it can sink the ship. It's going to be hard to tell against Philly, if we're going to make any changes that work. Kind of like the Miami game being fools gold but in a way, it's nice to see some fire on the practice field. "Having each others back", as many of our players like to say also means holding the man next to you accountable and maybe that's starting to happen now. Not a very good litmus test until Christmas day against Pittsburgh so I guess we won't really know until the "skinny challenged" lady sings!
  10. I have little confidence we can win our remaining 3 games. 2 of them are on the road and we've proven that it doesn't matter if a team is 3-10 or 10-3, we can lose to the worst of them. By how many points, is a moot point, it still goes down as a loss. If we can win these 3 on added heart or urgency, I don't want to hear it because they get paid to play with heart and urgency, every game.
  11. I'm not "Acting about it being irrational, it truly IS irrational. It's because, NE was dropping 8 into coverage all game long and we didn't run the ball to stop that. Football 101 IMHO. We don't adjust at all. We get down to 4 minutes and our guys act like we're up by 10 points instead of down by 10 by meandering back to the line and that's been going on for a couple years and they still haven't fixed that (How hard is it to correct that?) and I can go on and on about what we do wrong and fail to correct. It's not who we play because I believe we have the talent to beat anyone, Dallas or NE IF, we paid attention more during the game. Fans aren't over reacting, our team is Under reacting!
  12. After Joe's comment, I doubt she'll be pregnant again any time soon! Women tend to frown upon being told you need to get away from them and the kids. He goes out with his boys and plays football every weekend for gosh sakes. I think it's Dana that needs to go to London!
  13. In the Miami game, the middle of the field was open all day long and we tore them up with it. I'm sure Billichick watched the film and game planned to take the middle away so that wouldn't happen again. The fact that our coaches never even gave that a thought when initially game planning for them or even make adjustments after they saw it consistently is my issue with them. The delayed handoff to West worked but we only saw that a couple times. The pass wasn't working so why didn't we try to wear them down with the run? Other teams we've played this year ran against the best run stoppers in the NFL but stuck with it and even mentioned they wore us down because they stuck with it. Although this is a complicated game, it isn't rocket science. Our coaches seem to be the weak link here.
  14. Ya, Suggs said as he was leaving the field, "They better hope we don't see them again this year". I wonder why. Is there something different you plan on doing? We'll still have the same coaches and players, using the same playbook so I don't see how they would have to worry about playing us again.
  15. So, all we have to do is win our last 3 games! No sweat because we're capable of winning them all according to JH! I wonder if they'll let us into the playoffs on "Potential"? Oh well, maybe we'll still get a trophy for participation :-)
  16. Given Camps history he's likely to get hurt running onto the field and lining up. Made me laugh!
  17. Didn't see that coming! :-) A day late and a dollar short but, Thank you!
  18. Wow, wonderful! We get to stink up the joint in prime time in London now? Football was a much better game when money wasn't the top priority. Now you miss plays because they're doing something else when they should have the camera on the field. Or coming back from commercial only to have the announcers restate the same commercial garbage again when we should be back on the field. As far as making the trip to London to watch them play, what kind of salaries do they think we fans have? That's about 5K for 2 people plus game tickets and that's if that's all you do is go to the game. Would be nice but don't have that kind of money to throw away on a single football game. I guess there will be a bunch of Baltimore Doctor and Lawyers able to attend but us blue collar working class folks will have to stick with our $100 jerseys and $8 beers.
  19. Bad, Bad Coaching period! Onside kick was just dumb and no sense of urgency in the last 3 minutes of the half or the end of the game. It's looking more and more like many of our guys are just going to their salaried jobs to collect a check or the Miami game made them think they were much better than they are. Why they didn't try to get a play off before the 2 minute warning is beyond me too. Penalties, poor clock management, lots of dropped balls and a lack of making adjustments during the game. Joe said, "We thought they would play more man to man"... Well they weren't but you played like they were the whole game. When did you realize that they were predominately playing Zone? Just plain lack of good coaching. Makes me sick to see us play that way in the national spotlight!
  20. Technically, Tucker didn't miss in my mind.
  21. Get well soon Jimmy, we need you!!
  22. I hope you're right! I feel good about our chances but things always get "Weird" when we play NE. Refs seem to favor the golden boy, Player alignments and Flea flickers are always interesting too. Looking forward to what Suggs is going to do and how our coaches adjust during the game. LET's GO RAVENS!!!
  23. I'd be more interested to see "What if they landed Shareese Wright, Sergio Kindle and Terrence Cody!"
