  1. I have game pass I watch nearly every NFL game weekly. Quit pretending you know me which you obviously don't. Nuff said.

You have game pass, you watch every game every week, you say that if anyone can pull a monumental upset, it would be the Ravens DESPITE being upset by teams like the raiders, the Browns and the 49ers, you think it's possible for the Ravens to reach the post season despite being 1-5 which ties us with the lowest in the league and (not in chronological order) playing Arizona at home, SD, Miami, Cincy at home, Cleveland at home, Pittsburgh with Ben most likely playing, Seattle, and teams like Jax, kc, and Stl that could have a field day against our garbage secondary. Clearly you are lacking something in the head. Playoffs? You talking about the Ravens in the playoffs? NUFF SAID.

  2. What's the alternative?

Lets say you decide Joe sucks and only offer him like $12M a year, well below what most teams in the league who don't have a QB would pay him. He declines, and you cut him...

Who's the starting QB for this team then? You going to go back to the baron wasteland that is college for another QB? College teams are going out of their way to get guys who can't throw. Those Andrew Luck guys are generational players who don't grow on trees. If you really hit it out of the park, you'd get a Jameis Winston, who is absolutely nothing special at the QB position and isn't and probably will never be as good as Joe.

Basically, you'll be the Cleveland Browns. You'll spend the next decade drafting QB after QB, trying to find somebody who is at least somewhat as good as the guy you let go (Flacco), and it won't work out. Because in this league, if you don't have a QB, you got nothing.

The cost of not having a franchise QB on your team is ENORMOUS. Its far more costly than $20M a year or whatever Joe gets now or is going to get in the future.

In what has become comically ironic in my opinion... fans are basically saying that Joe is being "selfish" by not taking less, yet the fans demanding that he does are also, in fact, being "selfish". They try to convince themselves that they are not being claiming the BS of "well the team as a whole is better", which is great and cute and all, except the only thing YOU, as the fan, care about is you feeling good about winning football games.

Therefore, fans advocating that Joe take less are ultimately doing so in order for THEMSELVES to feel better. What that is, simply put, is selfish.

Obviously the biggest comical concept of this whole thing is fans will 100% advocate that players do something that no person who has ever posted on this board would EVER do themselves in real life. No person here would ever voluntarily ask their employer to pay them less just so the company can make more money and so their colleagues can make more money.

Tom Brady voluntarily took a paycut to retain or acquire certain players to help his team out in 2013. He signed a cap friendly extension recently. Currently, he is making less than $10 million a year with his contract till 2017. This is the same QB who took his team to the superbowl 6 times winning 4. Shouldn't he be askin for more? I hate the Patriots as a fan of the Ravens. But theres something about them wanting to win thats commendable, cheating aside. Now let's go back to Flacco restructuring his contract...

  3. Are you kidding me? Anything is possible. In football it's still mathematically possible.we'd have to win pretty much every game from here on out. Then the playoffs against some seriously talented teams. If any team could pull a monumental upset it's the Baltimore Ravens. In a way we already did in 2012, because no one in NFL I don't think predicted us getting past Denver. So it's a different group of players this time and odds are way less likely then back then, but I like that persons optimism anyway.

Did you see the game last night? Probably not, coz I can tell youre one of those "I only watch the Ravens" type of person. The team that only scored 3 points beat us so bad last Sunday. Please read the article again. "Playoffs should be expunged from your vocabulary."

If the Ravens make bad teams look like they're headed to the playoffs like the 49ers, how do you expect us to win against teams that are in our schedule? I mean do you even know who we are playing? Probably not. I think you're the one who's kidding. When the Ravens' brass themselves think we're out, you're still there with your pompoms thinking we still have a "mathematically possible" shot. Your optimism is admirable, but ask yourself who's really kidding here.
