Sanders and Woodley yes.. I was close to drafting both of them
Pouncey... Just no.. I think he's really overrated
agreed on pouncey just thought he would go earlier
Yep
Ya some of the younger ones like Cortez Allen went early..However I was surprised how late Pouncey, Emmanuel Sanders and Lamar Woodley went
I like the Rhodes pick..smart safeties can usually play in the league well beyond their age
Got my picks narrowed down to 3-4 choices. it will be up soon. I'm debating here with myself.
Im willing to lend a hand...I do pick in a little but I will give another voice. It likely wont help
I was rather interested In Kyle Long..just a specimen and all sounds good in Chicago so far I am looking forward to see how he does in that division who have some really good interior DL
and to no ones surprise, steelers prohpet picks a steeler
I think its a great pick..I think he may be one of the smartest safeties in the NFL and he needs a reliable player who keeps his position next to Polamalu...Not that you said anything about it being a bad pick, but well worth taking another Steeler
That picture of Terron looks oddly similar to Chance Warmack
Don't like the last pick. He is battling for his job right now in Green Bay and he isn't the favorite.
Ya I am a tad confused on that one especially with a good list of veteran Safeties still on the board who are still producing at high and consistent levels
Nice pick in Trumaine, he did really well for a rookie and a guy from a smaller school
He probably hates it because it just keeps happening. Cary! Turn your head!
ha,that may be it also
I hate his attitude though. I really couldn't stand his mouthing off like Cortland Finnegan. He reminds me of him actually.
at times it can be really bad..I completely agree..but if kept in check it it can be an asset, you just need team members around and good coaches who can help harness..For some teams guys like that are needed, for others it can be a nuisance. For us I think it did well. But he did get a couple big penalties from what I recall
agreed on Cary Williams...by no means is he underrated but he is just overhated...Good player and what I like most is how fiesty he plays he gave our secondary a swagger and intensity that was missing at times in the year. Plus I always like players who hate getting beat and he is one of those guys
Like the Brian Robison pick he has done really well after taking over for Ray Edwards
Ok
is coach Fisher praising Jared Cook or Jake Long
This is on the topic of leadership that is
I didn't here anything about Glover Quinn or Ed Reed acting as a leader thus far
Im sure if asked the right question you may hear a similar set of results...I am not denying anything about Goldson's leadership but just because something has yet to be said does not mean it is not occurring or there...And I must say when Ed Reed defended Joe Flacco on NFLN you can tell he is a leader still for the Ravens and likely will be a strong one for the Texans. Plus Schiano seems to talk much more and have much more attention then guys like Fisher in Ram land
Goldson is a playmaker and a leader:
The Bucs have been impressed with new FS Dashon Goldson's leadership."He keeps (our) young corners out there just working and no one asked him to do that, and that's just what veterans need to do," coach Greg Schiano said. "I'm glad he's ours. He cares a lot." Goldson's leadership is surely an added plus, but it's his play the Bucs are looking forward to after finishing dead last in pass defense last season.
He's a big hitter, good in run coverage, and he's finest in pass coverage
I dont know too many coaches who would bash a newly signed free agent who makes a boatload...so take the quote for what its worth...I do think he is a very good safety and one of the more aggressive ones, but with that comes some susceptibility to big plays.
Not sure Tillman is the best CB in the NFL...arguable yes, but I would rather Sherman and maybe a couple of others
I think I know the player I will take if Arnie doesn't inform me otherwise. I'm interested in seeing if there will be controversy. This should be fun
Is it Arthur Brown..the last time you said that that was who it was!!
Also really like the Quinn pick--I was debating between him and Bethea when I went safety. I think he was really huge to the Houston D and allowed them to keep simple looks but complex coverages, great player
Needed some OL help and went with Amini Silatolu...He did not have the best year, especially off the start but it can be expected from a rookie from a small school, and after loosing Kalil it probably did not make his transition any easier...He played really well near the end of the year--you can argue his performance is tied to the teams, but that is like many players. His upside is huge and he was one of my favourite prospects last year and I wanted the Ravens to draft him. I do think he will be one of the better pros once he gets past his initial learning curve. I expect huge strides from him this year
Thats alot of rookie love on the DL...maybe too young. I still have yet to pick one, and really do question some of the rookie picks that are happening. However it irks me when they are picked so clearly they arent terrible
I must say Sheldon Richardson is a freak athlete on the DL..I am excited to see him play alongside Wilkerson and Coples...If teams get in third and longs they should have some fun getting upfield
we got a bunch of us on right now we should be able to make a solid run as long as peoples boards arent demolished and sadness creeps in
Classy pick in Clabo...rock solid guy, fit most if not all scheme
anyone get codizzles picks..he sounded pretty set from what I remember
edit:my bad he is on I think..exciting stuff
Should I play Verner at FS or CB?
Versatility always makes drafting easier later on...Basically make the decision later so you are not forced into a pick, he can play either
