  1. I'm happy that I landed Alex Smith in the 5th Round.

I would be too...I really like Alex Smith tbh..I dont see a huge difference between him and guys like Freeman, Dalton, etc. and I took Dalton early 2nd..I clearly would rather Dalton and think he is beyond underrated but the value from me in the 2nd to you in the 5th is pretty good

  2. I veto.

Just reverse the order from this draft for the coaches. It's not fair that I have to miss out on all the elite QBs. So settling with an elite coach will make me at least somewhat compensated.

I agree with this...it balances the game

I see a thread has started--Crush I suggest you make one vote thing that answers everything so the process does not kill you and take forever

    just template like:

    Draft order: Reverse or Random

Amount of Rounds: 1 (just HC) or 3 (HC, OC, DC)

Coaches to draft: Only NFL or NFL, NCAA, and retired or NFL, NCAA (same position or raise), NFL retired up to 4 yrs

    ..and so on

and people just post their complete decision in one post and you tally all after a couple days...if you do one by one it may get messy and take a while..but your call...I just remember from last game it was beyond tedious and tiring and messy

  3. How about we make a thread where we vote on what to do, like the other mock?

As much as I loved that about the other one as it attempted to pull people in..the one thing i really like about this one is that what Gabe said is what happened--it made it simple and easy to get involved and know what to do. But if anyone wants to do that process and set it all up I will be involved

  4. I dont care about that tbh. If someone else wants to put it together I'm fine with it.

I would be willing to but if I did I would just do reverse order of original draft, 3 rounds, need HC, OC, DC-- All coaches in NFL  up for grabs(positional to HC), NFL coaches up to four years removed/fired/retired from NFL, and NCAA coaches but only if they receive same position or raise (ex. HC in NCAA to HC in NFL, or OC/DC in NCAA can be HC or OC/DC in our league--think Pep Hamilton---so No HC in NCAA as coordinators)

If someone else is more willing to do this and hear other voices and come to a setup that is more collaborative I am more than willing to step back..I just dont feel like putting in the effort to do so. But I would be willing to do this setup

  5. I'm going to put up a vote once we hit round 20. If everyone wants to keep going then we can keep going. Personally, I would rather stay at 25 because I think it makes it more challenging. Expanding the draft to 33 just becomes a matter of filling out a depth chart without having to strategize which positions are most meaningful.

Any new thoughts on coach draft!? I really want one

  6. I had 24.25 as my average age...A little on the young side but I think we will all be getting more of the vet guys now who have fallen and taking a chance on potential and youth may be countered by production and experience for final gaps as starters..My oldest was Bethea at 28, Kruger and Pitta at 27..the rest all in that 22-24ish range..many of them likely have birthdays coming up so you could probably add a year to the average

  7. For reals. My thought process was that if I can build a solid front 4 and then get 2 solid corners, I can get away with not having to rely on 2 great safeties

A solid front four really can do wonders..I think we will see it this year in Baltimore. We've seen it in years past with NYG, the Steelers have always had an amazing DL in addition to their LBs, The patriots at the start of their little SB run

  8. Not sure exactly how I feel about my pick but just wanted it in..I have switched my mind too many times

He has some major drop issues, but they looked to be cleaning up by the end of last year where he was really coming on strong. I dont think they use him right in Cleveland and he fits what I want perfectly and is a great compliment to Kendal Wright. Andy Dalton does not have much of a downfield arm and both Wright and Little are great YAC guys in their own way, and have the ability to be intermediate deep guys. Add Pitta to the mix and I actually feel pretty comfortable with my offensive weapons

  9. I wasn't worried about you taking Kerry. The one who worried me most was Ravens<3 who took Griffin. You concerned me with X and my concerns were realized.

ha, fair enough. I am still debating my next pick so hopefully I dont ruin any of your other plans. I have three guys right now. One I like value wise, one is probably the 'smarter' pick, one may be a bit of a fun one

  10. I was so keened to get Xavier Rhodes mainly because I have two big press corners with him and Richard Sherman who both could be shutdown corners..If I were a fan of a team who had those two I would be beyond excited to see how they blanket receivers. I did not think I was going to draft a rookie just because of the overvaluing so I am happy I got one
