  1. Nice pick Crush--if I did not go CB I was leaning heavily to Bitonio
  2. Was not expecting Truman Johnson to be around as my pick came up so I am excited. I really needed a CB and my division has one team in particular loaded with tall talent on the outside. Johnson should help. While I wanted Malcolm Butler badly (big fan) he was my next choice. He seems to be steadily progressing each year and it is telling that the Rams kept him over Janoris
  3. 203rd pick, The Winking Bears Select: Trumaine Johnson | CB
  4. If Butler was on the board for my pick I was planning on taking him. personally I think he is one of the better young corners in the game. He is one of the few who in every aspect of the game plays physical. My favourite thing is he never gives up once the receiver initially gets his hands on the ball--on numerous occasions I have seen him rip the ball out thinking the WR had secured it, so from my side its a great pick
  5. 181st pick, the Winking Bears select: David DeCastro | OG
  6. Got it. So, what your saying is this is my chance...
  7. great pick with BB..on the coaching thing can we take college coaches? or are we restricted to the NFL?
  8. I agree at a certain level that the depth is there at the position, and there were potentially better value picks which I am somewhat regretting right now, but I will say i think Landry is a 1,300+ yards 100+ reception kinda guy which is huge to have for an O. Gives you a guy you can force the ball to for 6-10 catches a game, and keep the ball moving in incremental ways, yet still has the skill to make explosive plays. For me it is that ability to move the ball and not just be a deep threat or one dimensional possession guy that made me take him. He is one of my favourite WRs, but ya value may be better elsewhere, just like him too much.
  9. The Winking Bears select: Jarvis Landry, WR
  10. arghh. Wanted Kielce bad, great value at this point imo, very complete player
  11. Big fan of the Gabe Jackson pick, he was who I was planning on taking till a couple minutes before my pick...The Raiders have two big boys who can just maul people with Osemele and him.
  12. Ya they have said that--lets hope their inside holds up to allow that. He has some hops when he comes off the edge
  13. Was planning the entire time to go in different direction but having a pass rusher and playing Clay in his natural position on the edge is just too valuable.
  14. 117th pick the Winking Bears select: Clay Matthews, Edge
  15. I don't see that as a reach pick at all. Versatile linemen with the potential to play LT if needed. Proven RT guy. I would have my worries of starting him at LT as there have been drop offs in play in the past, but there are also equally successful stories like Tyron Smith
  16. I have loved Sheldon Richardson since his draft days at Mizzou--amazed how he was used this year and lined up on the edge, inside and everywhere else. Him and Barr provide some nice flexibility in terms of front seven looks. Outside of his off the field concerns one of the better young players in my books and arguably best talent on that Jets DL
  17. 76th pick, Winking Bears select: Sheldon Richardson, DL/Front 7
  18. pick will be up in under five minutes
  19. With the 53rd pick: Anthony Barr, LB
  20. I'd agree..I will say the person who throws him the ball usually plays extremely well in our division and in other big games I think we know the rest, I think the impact on AJ in those games likely leaves him with less chances in the spotlight..either way both great receivers
  21. Interesting I lean AJ Green in that debate, maybe it is because he always torches us and seemingly beats us in some annoying way.
  22. what a bummer, I really wanted one of the two cards
  23. I have 5 QBs I would be very happy with if I did not take one at this point and I think all provide good value in their own ways
  24. So are we subbing someone new in? Just wondering if we do are we just going to give them the last pick in the first round and go from there
  25. I was planning on taking Big Ben if Jameis Winston was gone at my pick. So to me great value. Kinda annoyed this is the one year I get a half decent pick and may be the only year where you can get a franchise or very good starting QB in the 20s to 30s
