  1. Whoops must have missed that statement. Well here goes for hoping I get something for them now.
  2. Man didn't even get the chance to trade Victor Cruz or Rashad Jennings. Classy move Giants. I was hoping to get anything for them
  3. Interested in any and all OL to help my Giants out. Willing to listen to any offers for Victor Cruz and Rashad Jennings

  5. Any thoughts on if they the Giants Franchise JPP or if there are rumours of a long term contract...I will be honest I plan on tagging him just because I know how FA works in this game (sorry if I am not allowed to say this yet or bursting anyones bubble.) I do remember him saying he didn't want another short term or one year contract, but obviously the tag puts him in a spot where he doesn't get to negotiate that so much, other than holding out of TC. They really need depth on the line but the idea of two higher priced DE may be tough for them to do while still adding solid depth guys.
  6. Ya they do have some major holes. I have watched them a lot the last couple of years and this is the first year in which I watched them where their O really did not produce. At times it was really rough, especially given the talent they have on the outside. Their d kept them in so many games, but as always with the giants you feel like you are a light switch away from the O clicking and then going on a super bowl roll. Eli does need some major protection help though and a real run game. In many ways they remind me of the ravens last year, but I would say better
  7. Nice--really wanted the Giants, probably my favourite team behind the Ravens. Was so impressed with how all of their FA signings payed off last year and just need to build off of that.
  8. count me in--I will take 11
  9. Completely agree and I would much rather Thomas in this situation. He is a top 5 prospect for the Ravens for me...the only guys I have over him and would draft ahead of him are Myles Garrett, Jonathon Allen, Jamal Adams and Malik Hooker. He just screams Ravens type player and if we have a shot i think there is no question. We desperately need help with pass rush and he does that, yes I get he is not the edge guy we need but if what we need is production in terms of pressure it really doesn't matter what position he is. Also we always think 2-3 years ahead with our picks and our DL very well could be in awkward spot in two years with BWill up in the air right now, Timmy will be in a similar situation soon (and his potential will likely get him dollars while his inconsistency will make us wary of giving dollars), lets hope we keep Lawrence guy, because if we don't our line in three years if not replenished could be Michael Pierce, Carl Davis, Willie Henry, Kaufusi...not trying to play the need card to persuade for Thomas as it is nothing like our situation at Edge or CB but it is something that could turn into that relatively quickly if we do nothing.
  10. If Solomon Thomas is there I would not be able to pass on him
  11. He was one of my favourite guys a couple years back and thought he would be a sure fire top 10 pick at the time. His play and injuries have really slipped but I think he helped himself a lot at the senior bowl. I think it was Mayock or someone saying the coaches raved about him being able to soak in the playbook and be a leader/knower on the field. I think this point should not be underestimated enough, as much as people call Pees scheming vanilla it is far from that and he asks players to know a lot. We have had troubles in the past with players not being able to pick up the playbook and it seems like he would have no issue here--which is big to me as that is needed first to even sniff the field. Given the DB depth I think late 3rd to 4th+ is where he fits, but I can see him outplaying his draft position
  12. I tend to think we will be moving in the direction of what Andy Reid looks for with his OL. I remember him being in love with guys like Shawn Andrews, Max Jean Gilles, Winston Justice, and Todd Herremans..all really big guys with a physical presence yet all were kinda known as 'dancing bear' types. Not sure if this is where we are going in terms of OL type but it may be. He also went for guys who seem more like Wagner with Danny Watkins, Jason Kelce, Duvarney-Tardif. Not hugely sure but i think that is likely the model we have in mind. Clearly it does not single out a specific style only but I do think we are leaning towards more size, especially on the inside and I hope Alex Lewis stays there
  13. I really am a big fan of Taco...I expect he continues to rise as the draft gets closer and would not be surprised if he is widely seen as the better prospect over Charles Harris. Personally he reminds me of a better version of Preston Smith--they both have such big and long bodies yet hold their weight extremely well and do everything in the field. NFL.com comparison is Chandler Jones which I see some of, but not sure if he plays with enough power to win inside like Jones has
  14. with the way the Isray is handling the Colts situation maybe we will be in luck and have Chuck Pagano and Ted Monachino come on the market late when all the teams have filled their holes and we can swoop in and bring them back to where they belong. Really hate how that situation is playing out right now as I think Pagano and their coaching staff is solid, and extremely good people. They deserve a better place though.
  15. Thoughts...
  16. Like the idea of both of them--solid track records. Cecil made me think any way Harbaugh brings in Jeff Fisher in some weird defensive role. Not sure if he is hanging it up but Harbaugh does not seem to mind having old HC on his staff and if Fisher is wanting back in the game Harbaugh may be one of the few with the confidence to have such a coach on his staff. I am not a huge fan of Fisher just a conversation piece really..
  17. So saddening our DBs had a major leap this year and we actually had turnovers. Lets hope it was mores Weddle being a coach on the field. No clue on who we may have on the radar...maybe Ed Reed will come as an assistant, not sure him and Harbaugh are actually on good terms but a thought. maybe John Pagano can come here, big fan. Maybe more Bills guys like Dennis Thurman or Donnie Henderson
  18. Not overly, think once that first hiring starts teams get antsy and the ones in the playoffs naturally get left behind by teams and owners/GMs who are not overly patient. I was surprised he didn't get the Broncos HC job but it seems more because they just love Vance Joseph, if he wasn't on the market I expect they would have waited for him as they seem like a solid run franchise...As for the team left SF not sure I would place them as a really solidly run franchises right now, but I expect either Shanahan or McDaniels gets the SF job
  19. Yup in Buffalo now with McDermott--we have no OL coach right now...not sure who is on our radar. Obviously we would all love Dennison in such a position and I am sure he would be great for that position. Mike Tice's contract has expired with the Raiders, he would be an even better pickup imo, he sits in that rank of OL coaches of Callahan, Tom Cable, Scarnecchia, and Munchak who just really elevate the play of OL
  20. Pretty sure that was Brian Billick. I agree completely with the sentiment, A safety impacts every play and can be in on every play. I think we all know that from our best guys like Ed Reed and Weddle as well as our worst like when we watched Elam miss numerous tackles and plays. I think Safety is the hardest transition for any defensive player from college to the pros as so much is asked from them from lining up and coordinating the secondary to covering freaky tall and athletic TEs and quick twitch slot guys, and even be willing to stop the run. Tough position and a high football IQ is a must. My best case scenario in this draft is that we get Adams or Hooker, I think they are the only ones I would be willing to trade up for too.
  21. Also in agreeance, I would be ecstatic if we drafted him. Also really like Malik Hooker and would be happy if we got either of those two stud safeties. Would really allow us to have options of what to do with Webb and I want a young guy beside Weddle before he is done so he is coached up on the field.
  22. noticing a lot of love for many edge guys in the first and second rounds yet no one is even mentioning or discussing Taco Charlton, he could easily be a first rounder with his size and athleticism combo, how he he plays up in big games, his experience, and is on the upswing as a player..anyone have any thoughts on him as I have watched a couple Michigan games this year and kept getting pulled to watching him...
  23. Not sure I would call Taco a first but I really have enjoyed watching him with Michigan this year. He has a body a similar to Preston Smith and I think he does a good job in all aspects of his game...Not sure I would say first round talent but a guy i like a lot. I will also agree on not being a huge fan of Tim Williams, think he will have some troubles disengaging at the NFL level and from the few games I am scared he is a Mingo type
  24. I would be very interested in giving him a shot. Was one of my favourite receivers in the draft he came out in--he is known for freelancing which can be a big issue on offences that care about route running and timing--Not sure his skills would blossom with someone like the Ravens but there is the small chance.. From that perspective I would much prefer Garcon who is well known for being coached up and understanding the importance of playing within the system by Peyton Manning
  25. I may be in the minority but I would happily welcome roman. He is committed to the run and was alongside Jim Harbaugh when they had a very solid offence in San Fran. Just excites me that he would be the first coach in a while to truly commit to the run gamgame
