  1. Anyone have an updated list of what teams are left. On mobile so kinda tricky and my numbers /teams aren't working out.
  2. Things are already going my way
  3. That is true...I am actually kinda excited just to take whoever I get, I had a hard time trying to decide who I actually wanted when thinking before. On a side is it stated anywhere when salaries are set. By this I mean if/when Joe Flacco restructures what date is our cutoff to count the restructure or any changes that occur contract wise?
  4. Guess I don't have to do much thinking for my pick..some perks to being last I guess. I think I may be surprised by who I get though, in a good way
  5. Not Sure how many versions I will have but seems fitting with Senior Bowl wrapping up. However, I will say i did not get to see as much as usual as the coverage in Canada is hideous, so only recaps on NFLN. Big Board 1. Laremy Tunsil | LT 2. Jalen Ramsey | CB 3. Joey Bosa | Edge 4. Laquon Treadwell | WR 5. Ronnie Stanley | LT 6. DeForest Buckner | DL 7. Noah Spence | Edge 8. Vernon Haergraves | CB 9. Mackensie Alexander | CB 10. Myles Jack | LB 11. Jaylon Smith | LB 12. Sheldon Rankins | DL 13. Reggie Ragland | LB 14. A'Shawn Robinson | DL 15. Eli Apple | CB 16. Corey Coleman | WR 17. Andrew Billings | DL 18. Kendall Fuller | CB 19. Emmanuel Ogbah | Edge 20. Kevin Dodd | Edge 21. Jarran Reed | DL 22. Jack Conklin | OL 23. Robert Nkemdiche | DL 24. Taylor Decker | OT 25. Vernon Butler | DL 26. Darian Thompson | S 27. Carl Nassib | Edge 28. Michael Thomas | WR 29. Jason Spriggs | OT 30. Kenny Clark | DL 31. Shaq Lawson | Edge 32. Leonard Floyd | Edge Mock Draft 1) Titans: Laremy Tunsil | LT 2) Browns: Jared Goff, QB 3) Chargers: Jalen Ramsey | DB 4) Cowboys: Carson Wentz | QB 5) Jaguars: DeForest Buckner | DL 1st Round: Joey Bosa | Edge | Ohio St. Of what I now call the big three (Tunsil, Bosa & Ramsey) I think Bosa has the best shot at getting to us. As many have said he may not have that quick twitch or skill set that will make teams in the top 5 pull the trigger but he is a football player. As most know he has seen double teams and more and has done well still, it says a lot to his preparation and ethic. 2nd Round: Kendall Fuller | CB | VT I think his testing/ showing he has come back from injury is big for him. If he runs and looks healthy I can see him being a top 20 type pick. Athletically everything is there, but he has some major issues in not turning his head and getting off blocks at times...I could see him having a difficult transition with the NFL rules. I do think Leslie Frazier would be a great coach though to bring him along. 3rd Round: *Trade late rounder to move up* Will Fuller | WR | Notre Dame I always get weary when I see size numbers like his but with the way he plays there really should be no reason he cannot make an impact. He really is a playmaker and we desperately need someone to not only push the defence vertically but also make defences cover horizontally (in the flats, on screens, end arounds, etc.). I am really looking forward to seeing him at the combine as he has some kicks on film, especially once in the open field. He reminds me so much of the type of WR the Steelers have been hitting on and making a living the past couple of years with Antonio Brown, Emmanuel Sanders, and Markus Wheaton. Lets hope we can finally make a mid round WR--I like Trestman for getting the ball in the hands of players on the outside, sometimes a little too much though. 4th Round: Matt Ioannidis | DL | Temple Has looked really good at the Senior Bowl, we always seem to draft atleast a couple guys from there, he seems like the kind we like. One of my favourite players, think he will do well with coaching. Not sure if he will be able to crack our depth but we should be having some changes in the next year or two with Urban needing to show if he can stay healthy and Canty gone. 4th round (from Trade): Joe Dahl | OG | Washington St. Another guy I have enjoyed watching over the Senior Bowl. Has good size, solid technique and great attitude. Think he will turn into a solid starter in the NFL and may be able to be our future at LG in a couple years with Urschel on the inside. 4th round (Comp.): Jordan Jenkins | Edge Upshot will likely be gone, Jenkins seems to be a spitting image of him. We need guys on the edge that can stop the run and give breathers to our pure rushers. Think he will be a great role player that allows our D to both stay physical and rotate our players for what they are best at. 5th Round (Comp.): Jonathon Jones | CB | Auburn Of all the "non names" at the Senior Bowl he caught my eye. He is fluid, quick, and looks to be a guy who can cover those agile slot receivers. I really hope we double dip at CB as we have banked too much on health for a couple years now with it not going too well. ...gonna stop there..
  6. I tend to agree with you and a guy like Noah Spence may be the better fit schematically. But then I begin to think some 50%+ of our defensive plays on defence are likely in a sub package...our division may not be as high as others but I think looking at scheme on our base D is getting more and more irrelevant in how teams draft. I see him being a Michael Bennett type player (maybe not the same jump and get off) who is a terror in that tweeter DT/DE role rushing the inside. Totally agree as I am skeptical on fit but I think it should work well given modern offences I would agree on both accounts--Pees tends to not put young guys in till it is clear they know the system well. He has done well with situational pass rushers though so i will give him credit where it is due Ladarius Smith and Pernell McPhee standout in that regard. I really hope our best value in the first two round is some combo of CB and Pass rusher...I think at our 2nd rounder our best value may be at interior DL just because there are so many good players in this draft, so i would not mind scooping up one of them (would love Sheldon Rankins--could see him being Muhammed Wilkerson esche)
  7. When are we allowing trades...I always find that it is so crazy once the game starts and there was a little buffer time...I think in the NFL trades cannot occur until the start of the league year or FA--I would much prefer this but I may be in the minority of not being a trade enthusiast
  8. Just looking on NFLN and I don't see any scheduling of the practices other than the senior bowl recap in the evening...anyone know if they are changing how they are doing coverage this year in terms of full practices?
  9. Count me in
  10. Adding to the QB gone WR route I remember Matt Jones making the transition and his big showing was him at the Senior Bowl. he made some preside catches in the red zone I remember and then he blew up the combine and went in the first...I think he was one pick before we took Mark Clayton, I was so happy at the time. Anyway he did not transition well to say the least, not that that means anything for Braxton Miller...but i would be cautious and at this point could not do the second round like some people are touting
  11. Other peoples thoughts on Theiren Cockran? Just started watching him, he has a really nice get off, some quick twitch and it looks like he can easily add to his frame. His production seems oddly low, it did not reflect the small amount I could find in terms of how he impacts a play.
  12. I was a big questioner of Ramsey early on and was adament he was a S only and would prefer several guys before him but I am starting to rethink my position on him. My new thoughts are...for our scheme I actually think he is better suited to play CB, I think our D is at its best when our CBs can play zone and press. This year Jimmy Smith seemed to trail and get desperate on many deep balls--I think at this point in his career and style he is best in zone, give up some underneath and some inside stuff knowing the LBs are there to clean up and at a certain point receivers will wear and tire down. I think this scheme would also match Jalen Ramsey best. I actually think James Winstons comment on him being "Richard Sherman like" is not too far off. He is similar in size, and from my estimates speed. They both are very good at using their lengthy arms off the LOS, not to beat up a guy but push them to the perimeter and use the sideline to their advantage. This may be my favourite thing as I watch him now. There are few corners who take away this kind of space from the receiver. It is one tough through for a QB when the guy is locked up against the sideline whether it is deep, on a comeback, or a back shoulder. I do think he is susceptible to inside and crossing routes (similar to Sherman if asked to follow in man). Like others his attitude scares the heck out of me but I think at this point after re-watching I think he is the best fit for our team at CB, and I would take him over VHIII and Alexander.
  13. Just want to give it an initial go. Big Board is Ravens specific (ex. I drop QBs heavy because we have Joe--I actually quite like Paxton Lynch...factors other than need are included such as fit, playing style, attitude, etc.) Big Board 1. Joey Bosa | DE 2. Vernon Haergraves | CB 3. Laremy Tunsil | LT 4. Ronnie Stanley | LT 5. Jalen Ramsey | S 6. Emmanuel Ogbah | Edge 7. Mackensie Alexander | CB 8. Laquon Treadwell | WR 9. Jaylon Smith | LB 10. Robert Nkemdiche | DL 11. Corey Coleman | WR 12. DeForest Buckner | DL 13. Andrew Billings | DL 14. Tre'davious White | CB 15. Jarran Reed | DL 16. Myles Jack | LB 17. A'Shawn Robinson | DL 18. Michael Thomas | WR 19. Taylor Decker | OT 20. Reggie Ragland | LB --Not gonna lie after 6 was rough and very fluid for me Draft Round 1) Vernon Haergraves III | CB | Florida - He is one of my favourite guys to watch, there really is not much you can say bad about his game. I hope we get a shot at him come draft day. Round 2) Tyler Boyd | WR | Pitt. - I would love to see us where the best depth is at this point. For me it is likely WR with a combo of Michael Thomas, Doctson, Coleman, Boyd being there. I also think there will be great depth at interior/34 DL..it is a loaded draft with guys like Buckner, Jarran Reed, A'shawn, Billings, Kenny Clark, Jonathon Bullard, Adolhphus Washington and likely more. Round 3) Darian Thompson | S | Boise St. - My personal favourite at safety and may be the most productive in terms of getting turnovers. We need guys who can make plays on the back end badly. We could have a secondary for the future if we got both him and Haergraves. Round 4) Carson Went | QB | North Dakota St. - It is rough not having a decent backup QB, we have a ton of 4th, Went is a guy wh impresses me. Has really nice knee bend for such a big guy and I think he will go higher than this. I do think we should address the QB position somewhat early going into this draft Comp. Round 4) Joshua Garnett | OG | Stanford - I just like the way he plays the game, he knows how to take angles, seems well coached and I think he could easily slide in as a starter early on in his career Comp. Round 4) Matt Judon | Edge | Grand Valley State - Not sure where his value is but a small school guy. Has a nice dip move, rolls his hips through his bull rush and looks to have all the athletic tools to make the transition. 5) Devon Cajuste | WR | Stanford - Really big frame, not sure how teams will look at him but he has great hands, blocks well for a WR, has experience lining up in the slot and out wide. Seems like a solid football player Comp. 5) Kevin Peterson | CB | Oklahoma St. - I really am not a fan of our secondary and we need depth in every single way. Peterson seems so underrated, has tons of experience and plays with a great attitude. Late rounders as trade material If we go anywhere in FA I hope it is at Edge for a guy like Bruce Irvin, Olivier Vernon, Mike Neal, or Vinny Curry. However, I think we go the usual and not do much, hope Suggs comes back healthy, Doom back, Ladarius one year in and sign someone cut or on the cheap
  14. I can't see it changing our draft strategy up as I cannot see us hiring a DC who isn't in line with how we usually run our front 7--I think that comes from Ozzie and what players he selects for the team in the draft and in FA who are usually bigger guys with the capability of two gapping. We have too much talent to move away from a 34 in the way we are running it imo. Carl Davis and Brandon Williams are perfect pieces up front, I like Mosley more in a 34--not sure he has the coverage ability to do what guys like Keuchly do and he will be schemed against for good matches from guys like Gio, Bell and Duke Johnson even more than what he already is..and we have no proven WILL. At this point I don't even see us firing Pees...I really hope we do as I expect Pettine to be gone and I think he is the perfect fit
  15. I flipped on VH3 and Tunsil several times so I can say that is a close one--in the end I just get so excited about having a potential Haden type player...On that though I see a lot of Orlando Pace in Tunsil which is something special. I agree with Stanley, I have the exact same concern. I just have bigger concerns over guys like Ramsey (attitude and ability to play centre field and have the movement to get outside the numbers/hashes), Ogbah and Alexander I love and very well may take Ramsey, Ogbah and Alexander over Stanley. As you say that it is worrisome to think how Stanley would match up against guys like James Harrison (albeit he is going to retire soon), Dupree and Carlos Dunlap. In many ways I think Stanley could be a spitting image of Eugene Monroe (just hopefully healthier).. I like Coleman a lot. He is inflated on these rankings as I really don't think there is a ton of top talent. Should this had been the draft with Mike Evans, OBJ, Watkins, Brandin Cooks, Kelvin Benjamin and so on he is not even close to being part of the conversation. With the talent this year though he gets bumped up. For me he is an unpolished Brandin Cooks who is not as physical and has yet to work the inside game like he has. I like Coleman more than Phillip Dorsett though, who I liked a lot. Coleman excites me with his quickness off the line, he has such a great swim move and stutter and go it is crazy. That alone makes me think he will be able to get really good separation in the NFL. Tons of questions in terms of system but I would take the chance. The Jaylon Smith is mainly because Jack is injured. I agree, but I need updates for myself to justify. I really hope we get to see Arthur Brown in there in these last couple of games as I want to know how a player of his style would operate in our system. As you say this I would probably shift him after Buckner I am with you on this. I think he will be in talks of the late 1st - 2nd round. I don't think he makes the first just because of competition and from what I read has a broken hand so that may hinder his movement. He is supposed to be practicing soon though. I am excited to see him in the East-West Shrine game--will be big game for his stock
  16. I just meant traditional in the sense that teams who ask for two gaps down in and down out every single play...more like Pittsburgh, to some extent us, the Pats...I will contradict myself and say I think we could creatively use a guy like him though so it really does not matter (and the Pats could too). I am just skeptical on many levels of him ever reaching the athletic potential or if it will continually and always be just flash in the pan plays and quite for extended periods.
  17. Given the talent in this draft I do think he goes top 10, but he could slip out if QBs get some attention. I think most if not all the guys I mentioned before were scheme versatile other than Aaron Donald...so I am not sure on that one. I don't see him as a two gapper by teams who lean towards the traditional style, physically he could but I have seen him on many occasions look like he is on roller skates. Physically I am with you though he is a freak--I actually think he is best suited to drop some weight and play a hybrid edge role like Mario Williams did in a 34. He does have the talent to be a Rover and line up anywhere on the front and scheme just to get good one-on-ones.
  18. I would say the chances are pretty good. He has not been the most consistent, I think plenty of teams will view him as scheme specific and I am not sure how high interior DL are going lately...Leonard Williams 'dropped' last year to 6 (he is miles better imo), Malcolm Brown dropped all the way to the end of the first for the Pats... the year before Aaron donald was at 13 with better production but size issues...sheldon richardson and Star Lotuleilei were 13 and 14 the year before that (who I both think were better). It really does depend on the talent year by year but I would not be surprised on a couple levels if he is there around 10 or later
  19. Well Calhoun had a great game the other day against Iowa, I am not sure if he will be a mid first or a mid 2nd type guy. I think the Playoffs is going to really help define his stock. I normally am not a big fan of him as I think he is tight and lumbery like but I was surprised how well he ate up ground off the snap with his steps (even though it does not look the fastest or most fluid)
  20. I really like Kevin Peterson CB Oklahoma St. as for other CBs would like Cyrus Jones too he has a very high football IQ and would be a player I would not freak out about if he was forced onto the field at any moment
  21. As others stated Ogbah would be my top target outside our top 3 or 4 names. To throw a wild card in there (depending where we pick) Tre'davious White CB, LSU is one I think people will be enamoured with as the draft rolls closer. His burst and quickness is pretty special and he has the potential to be thrown out on an island and not worried about. Also played against some top tier competition. If he comes out I expect him to have a pretty good combine and I think he goes top 15 in the draft, so depending where we are picking he might be a very viable option. I will say I have some concerns on technique and physicality... reminds me a lot of Morris Claiborne coming out (who lets be honest most poeple liked and viewed as a relatively 'safe' pick.. so in terms of the comparison I mean as a compliment to college performance and nil potential).
  22. I don't think he means literally every play but as a scheme package on occasion, or follow a RB out (For example, Duke Johnson manhandled us yesterday doing this, he would likely be comfortable following a player like him)...I am guessing JF5 means like how we once used Adalius Thomas when we lined him up outside on the corner on occasion or how the Patriots move Jamie Collins around.
  23. Agreed on Ramsey--he scares me a lot and I see a lot of chunk yardage coming his way in the NFL My other high prospect would be Nkemdiche...I have explained before so i won't say much here but I think he is a scheme specific player and when he doesn't initially get by his block he looks like he is on roller skates and sometimes he just turns his back to the line of scrimmage (that is one of the worst things ever to do as a DL, other than being not to the ground)
  24. Agreed Darian Thompson, tops my wish list for the mid rounds. It was amazing how much our better our D was last game as we forced three turnovers against the Rams...we need these type of Turnovers. Thompson consistently has done this with 5 INTs this year, 7 as a Jr., 4 as a Soph. and 3 as a fr.
  25. My dream round 2 guy is Michael Thomas--like his physicality and all around game, good run blocker and I think could develop into a potential no.1
