Maybe the best edge athlete in the draft.

Former bball player so has smooth movements and the footwork to excel in coverage even at the NFl level.

Solid tackler that can chase down ball carriers. Crazy burst and speed.

Raw in terms of pass rush ability, but has elite traits that project an ability to become a great one. Bend, feet, strong upper body.

And versatile. Think less polished pass rusher version of Haason Reddick. Could play ILB on early downs if needed but hunt off the edge on the money downs. Great pick

Thank you! Will he be able to set the edge as well? And I'm assuming he has the traits of a 3 down linebacker for us.

  2. Did some quick research on Bowser and I love it! Seems like a 3 down linebacker to me! He can rush the passer or cover. I am just not sure about whether he can set the edge in run stopping support yet. But he is a great coverage linebacker that can even play next to CJ if necessary and if Correa can develop some pass rushing ability.

  3. I just want one of these players avaialble for us to select at 47. Forest Lamp, Cam Anderson, Tim Williams, Zack Cunningham, Tyus Bowser, Carl Lawson, Zay Jones, Smtih Schuster or Curtis Smith. And I know one of them will surely be available when we pick, but yet we'll pass on all of them for another reach pick.

  4. With the way our draft began it doesn't matter who's there. We'll pick some obscure guy who's supposedly highest on only our board but nobody else. Tonight is going to tell us if there are just too many heads in our draft room and no cohesion or purpose or strategy. We just can't continue to draft special team contributors in the draft. Sure we'll be a great special teams unit but with both our offense and defense stinking up the joint.

and i like robinson better - it's an opinion lol - id be fine with either i've had them next to each other on my board the whole way - i dont know why he's getting aggro about it - they'd both be great picks at 47

Just to join the ranks of idiots on this short lived board, I like Robinson better as well. And I hated our #16 pick even after contemplation and listening to all the post draft rationale about why he was a good pick.

  6. I would put Marlon on A.J Green the first game "You want to be the best, play against the best" . Ravens are going to lose anyway

I can't see us beating either the Bengals or the Steelers. With Garret and Peppers on the Browns defense, I don't see Flacco beating the Browns either. We are in for a very long season this year and if it does it doesn't bode well for John Harbaugh.

  7. I don't think any amount of post draft rationale is going to make the 'pit in the stomach' feeling go away. Especailly not with Howard, Foster, Allen and even a Dalvin Cook, Charles Harris on the board. Heck even Cam Robinson would've been more palatable. First they've loaded up on the secondary and more importantly Marlon's tape watched by tons of pundits didn't make him a #16 pick. At best he was a player ranked in the mid 20s. So, why did we have to reach when we had bonafide consensus top 5-10 players on the board? That is the issue that gnawed at me all night. I've been a huge front office supporter but this pick stumped me in a negative way!
To top it off, Harbs had to bring up how good he was a special teams player so he could immediately contribute on special teams and could be eased into the starting role! No man a team with as many needs as we have doesn't need a dang special teams ace in the first round. Select one after the 5th round and please stay away from the draft room.

The fact that Alabama had such a stacked front seven makes me question whether Marlon is actually good or did he just have an elite pass rush making him look good.

Very good point. Luckily we have a stacked front seven also. So nothing will change for Marlon!
