This defensive focus in 2017 will keep the Baltimore defensive flame burning bright for a very long time. In recent years since Harbaugh took over, it was beginning to flicker because the Ravens were caught up in an identity crisis. Now, they've looked themselves long and hard in the mirror and realized they need their old mojo back and they began the process with the first 4 picks! Loved it.

Would you have taken TJ watt over Bowser?
No
I would give them a cautious 'B' at this point. However, it can quickly be amended to either an A or a C depending on how many players of this draft become starters. I can surely see 4 of them as potential starters with a 5th as a rotational player by year's end.
By far the best value of the entire Ravens draft in my opinion. He's going to be a pro bowler for the Ravens in a few years.
Tim Williams it is your moment to prove all the naysayers wrong! Time to put on your big boy pants and come to work hard. If you do, you can be a stud and if you don't you will end up a dud. Simple math really.

I thought so...
All in all I fee really good. Thursday night was not a good feeling. I felt this pit in my stomach but after watching the entire draft I can say with confidence that we had a really good haul of talented players both on the offense and defense. I am bullish on Humphrey, Tim Williams, Wormley, Bowser and Siragusa. I truly believe at least 3 of this draft class will be future pro bowl players.
Who are the best WR prospects out there?

Don't jinx it man! Everytime one of us hopes a player falls he gets instantly picked up!

Larry Hogan was the one that laid down the 'decree'!

Precisely. Every talented WR and his agent that actually wants to play in the NFL as a receiver cannot overlook Baltimore. It is Baltimore first and then everywhere else if I were the agent.

My grades
M.Humphrey : D ( Not D as in he can't play, Just not good value taking into account the more well-rounded corners in the draft. If this were a second round pick i'd have given it a
T.Bowser : B+ ( Explosive but raw, Jamie collins potential)
C.Wormley: B+ ( better than urban or guy IMO and high floor)
T.Williams A+ ( Stud)
N.Siragusa A (Pro Bowl potential)
J.Elumenaour C- ( Backup)
C.Clark F ( out of the league)
Draft grade: B
If we had taken another one of the top corners and traded back this would be an A grade class.
I think I agree with your grades except for Marlon. I would give that pick a C for the same exact reason you cited, except I elevate his grade to a B when looking at the draft as a whole. Other than that I agree with your grades except Eluemenaur I would give a C because he'll be depth for us and Chuck Clark a C as well because he'll be a valuable back up and special teams guy.

Believe me Harbaugh will find a way to use him only on special teams, destroy his confidence by ridiculing his special teams play and make him a dud by year 3.
Chuck Clark? Who's he? A safety from VA Tech who is supposed to be a special teams guy. This special teams focus with Harbs at the helm is really getting to me. He said the same thing about Humphrey and on the phone with Tyus brought up special teams and now this. This guy will destroy the talent level on our team iby choosing special teams players instead of simply talented players. But, I still think the first 5 picks were pretty awesome collectively speaking.
Yancy or Kaaya I believe will be our pick. More likely Yancy
This is what I call the Ravens Triple D! Double Down Draft!
WR or RB? Are we kinda set in those areas Ozzie? Are we planning to trade for AJ Green or Julio Jones or someone like that? Why would you invest so much money into Flacco and not give him the tools to earn that money? Sign at least Boldin please.
Now Pees has to make sure we are not only the #1 ranked defense but nobody can score on us period. We need to get back to the good old days of Ravens defenses where people were afraid to play us.
I thought to myself after the second round how cool it would be to double down on both CB and OLB. We didn't quite do that but we got a DE and OLB both highly regarded players in the 3rd round! While I wasn't a happy camper with the unsexy pick in the first round, now I am seeing that Humphrey is an important piece of the picture that is taking shape! Go Ravens.
Now looking at all the 4 picks on the defensive side of the ball, one can't help but get pumped up about the defensive potential this team now has. I don't know if players like Zadarius will now make the cut or not, but I am really thrilled to see our defense dominate. Think about how good we can be this year. Scary good.
33 minutes ago, GrimCoconut said:I don't think it was Kupp, who went at 5. We picked Wormley at 10. No offensive players went between our third round picks, so that eliminates the Williams pick. It's Wormley because Elflein went 6, Feeney went 7, and Taylor went 8. Taylor would be a couple picks before 10, Feeney a few picks before 10, and Elflein 4 picks before 10 so maybe not Elflein but Feeney is highly probable we wanted him.
Good deductive reasoning! But you seem to take Ozzie literally.
Man let's recount the draft so far. Now Marlon Humphrey pick is looking pretty darn good actually. So, we have him, Tyus Bowser, Wormley and Tim Williams. All in all will infuse real talent to our defense. But poor Flacco needs some help in protection. I think it is Dunlap and Mangold as free agent acquisitions.
I love the defensive intent of the first 2 days. At least since it is a loaded defensive draft the strategy must be very clear. Load up on defensive talent when the pool is strong and give we have limited picks! Pretty cool when you think about it. Now in the 4th they're going offense.
Chris Wormley? And you guys still insist Harbaugh isn't involved with the draft process?

That isn't happening in my view.
