Flacco on offense and Jimmy Smith on defense are the two most important players that need to stay healthy this year for us to have any shot at the playoffs.
The more I think about it unless one of Corey Davis, Lattimore, Allen, Jamal Adams and/or Fournette is available to us at #16, its extremely likely we pick either Cam Robinson, Forrest Lamp or Marlon Humphrey. My money is on Cam Robinson.

I doubt he gets past Cincy and if he does then New Orleans and after that Indy. But, hey if he's available I won't mind him at all. But if Corey Davis and Lattimore or the two top safeties Adams and Hooker slip they'll be taken for sure. It all depends really on if there is a small run on QBs and RBs in the top 15....

The critique of Derek Barnett is eerily similar to that of Terrell Suggs. Not saying Barnett is Suggs, but he is a stud who plays hard whistle to whistle. He's not dropping to 31 period.
I love the draft but I really can't see us choosing Corey Davis if Rueben Foster is on the board. If we select bpa I can't see Davis being ranked above Foster. But, after all the issues with Foster who really knows? If it pans out that we get the first 3 rounds like you've mocked I'll be done for the day and ecstatic!

Interesting enough most teams that have made major changes to improve secondary, improved running game, while keeping a pro-bowl QB and avoided major in-house staff changes...have done quite well on the re-bound ie- 1980 Steelers, 1988 Redskins, 1990 49rs, 1996 Packers, 2006 Colts 2015 Broncos, , all won Super bowls with aging QB and improved comeback secondary's- Others that did well in playoffs 1992 Dolphins, 2013 Saints.
Most of these teams focused on two things secondary and running game. Sound like something familiar?
I love your optimism and would like to share it but reality keeps beating me up!
I can see us winning 9 games and taking the back door to the playoffs this year if we play well and stay healthy.
I can see us picking one of these players in order of preference if available and they slide to us of course. Rueben Foster, Johnathan Allen (only because some speculate he may slide), Corey Davis, Derek Barnett, Mike Williams, Marlon Humphrey, Takk McKinley, John Ross and finally Jabrill Peppers if none mentioned above are available.
None of the above. I believe we'll draft either Barnett or Foster because his stock is suddenly falling. If we're going to trade up, then it's for Fournette. If we trade down it could be for one of these guys - Takk Mckinley or Taco Charlton.

It was a diluted sample I believe. I think we absolutely draft him at 16 or maybe even draft down into the low 20s' if he sliding and still draft him. He's a generational talent and a good kid who'll be a great complement to Mosley for the next decade.

Jake's butt? Really?
If Flacco figures out a way to utilize all his options in 3rd down situations, the offense will be well served. Last year, defenses baited him into throwing to Pitta that they exploited. Flacco needs to see more than Pitta during critical situations and not be so predictable. Hopefully it was just the knee doing its thing with his head and him looking for him comfort zone but that cannot continue this year. Pitta cannot be the be all end all in critical situations or else we'll fail miserably all over again as an offense.
I'm telling you folks. If Fournette slips past 12, the Ravens go up and get him. I'm just praying it is Fournette in the first, because he alters the entire offense into becoming more potent and deadly. He'll make Flacco look really good as well and vault our offense to be on par with our defense and special teams. He is the only pick of the entire draft that can tip the scale in our favor in the AFC. I may not always be right, but this time I know I am and hence I am pounding the 'proverbial' table for him!
My dream scenario that nobody perhaps will agree with is this:
Fournette, Tim Williams, Cooper Kupp/Smith Schuster, Sidney Jones.
Sorry didn't notice the 'realistic' part of the title!![]()

Based on what exactly have you drawn that conclusion Sami84? It seems exceedingly premature to write him off this early. He is essentially a second year player that did pretty good in his rookie year. I'm not saying he's a star receiver yet or anything, but nothing he's done so far leads me to conclude so definitively he's a bust. The same notion holds true for 2 other players Correa and Kaufusi.
Russell Street just did a 6 round mock draft that I absolutely loved because it seemed too good to be true. We land Davis, Tim Williams, Pal Elflein and JuJu Smith Schuster in the first 4 rounds. That would make me very happy but I don't think it is going to happen.
Man I miss football so much! Let's get going Ravens. Get stronger, smarter and tougher each and every day and don't stop till you touch the Lombardi this year!
Why are the Ravens more optimistic than others about their 2017 prospects? John I suppose that is because they can ill afford pessimism with regard to their chances in 2017. I can't think of one team of the 32 that isn't optimistic about a season that is yet to begin. But, one should understand that the same degree of optimism existed prior to the last couple of seasons as well. Optimism doesn't win games, but good coaching, good health and good play surely do. Here's to hoping our optimism is truly justified and we do make it to the SB.
I truly believe if Fournette slips past the Jets and the Panthers, we may consider trading places with Arizona to move up 3 slots before Philadelphia and pick him up. We may have to give up one of our 3rd round picks to achieve that but I think it is entirely likely we go for it for Fournette.
In my honest opinion if we pick up Fournette, we are an immediate contender that can go all the way and win it too.
The best pick up imo. He brings great knowledge of the Pees defense, is a team player and a trooper. Moreover, he is one of the surest tacklers on defense and if he is well rested and plays limited snaps he is a dangerous substitute at free safety and nickel who can be a great ball hawk. I love that Webby will be back wearing his familiar #21.

I have a phone rolodex that is a whole 2 pages thick. Does that count?

We will right after knowing who we draft and if we draft a center or if the center we draft is able to start day 1. Believe me, the Ravens have Nick Mangold in their mind as should he.
Where in the world is Kamalei Correa's head is the new theme song for the Ravens.
If he is there then it would be downright blasphemy if we passed on him. There is zero chance we pass on 2 of these players regardless of who else is on the board. The first being Jamal Adams and the other being Rueben Foster. If one of these two slides down to us, it is a no brainer imho.
