  1. I believe our accounts will be active to post on the news articles but the boards will be permanently closed. Mods correct me if I'm wrong please.
  2. Good luck Jameel. We're glad to have you back in the building.
  3. Please don't call him a workout warrior man! All that does is reminds me of Eugene Monroe!
  4. What I heard was they tried to move up for Reddick but where did this moving up for a WR come up? Was it just speculation that if they moved up to get one of those receivers then it would cost this much, yada yada??
  5. I read that article @bioLarzen and disagreed with Tony Lombardi's point of view.
  6. So help me understand this. It isn't about money but it was about time resources spent on moderating the boards? There is something in these two remarks that seems contradictory to me. Couldn't more of these resources be hired if it wasn't about the money?
  7. If trading up for a WR was so seriously considered, it baffles me as to the reason they didn't select a top 5-10 talent in the best receiving TE to come out in the past several years - OJ Howard. He would be a great move the chains TE and a mismatch on gameday. He would also be a huge upgrade on our oft injured TE group.
  8. Let me be brief. Most of what I feel has already been articulated pretty well by several people. To me why this site worked for many of us was simply the moderation involved in keeping the conversation civil and curtailing excessive trolling. That helped make this board very intellectually stimulating, educational and a whole lot of fun. Most of us have never met each other or perhaps never will. But, we can't deny that there was a kinship formed that isn't easy to erase (at least for me). Now, there is no substitute for that readily available for us to migrate to. Facebook and other social media websites are despicable in the content and exchanges. It is not a replacement for genuine fans of a ball club. That is what makes this closure so baffling to me. Sorry didn't end up brief.
  9. Been there, said that and been ignored.
  10. Eric Weddle, Tony Jefferson, Jimmy Smith, Brandon Carr/Marlon Humphrey and at slot corner Tavon Young! How's that for optimism?
  11. I would try out different sites including the ones set up by @BOLDnPurPnBlacK and @purpleflock.com. However, I caution you to use an email generated solely for this purpose as the sites may not immediately be secure, but as long as you use aliases and don't divulge any private information about yourself, you should be fine. I use Russel Street report but not their discussion boards. So, get a feel for these boards and stick with one that you feel gives you the most value.
  12. It is a no brainer that he expects it but again he expects great things from the Ravens every season. Now I don't think it is his job to expect great things but in fact it is his job to deliver greatness. I think he just said it without much thought. He is going to be held accountable for the Ravens greatness this year. He'll be lauded if we go deep into the playoffs and will be vilified if we underperform.
  13. Well we know that there can be no more 4th quarter lapses from the defense. To me rankings are meaningless. Unless they take into account the number of saves a defense has had. If you can't save a lead, I really don't care where we are ranked statistically. So Mr. Pees, don't worry about rankings and instead just worry about not letting the opposition score in the 4th and no more easy TDs.
  14. Thorough gentleman indeed. Nice man inside and out. Good luck to you Justin!
  15. For Carter to say those things is understandable because he gets paid to visit and speak. However, in reality it has much less to do with second chances than getting high value talent at low price points. Also, second contracts are much cheaper as well. That is all the moral rationale the owner is using. Everything else is pure make up to cover an ugly franchise.
  16. How is Correa any different than Maxx given he is a second round pick as well and is coming into his sophomore season?
  17. I am curious. Are all NFL team forums closing? Is this an NFL mandate that they move on to social media or is it just the Ravens brain trust? If it is just the Ravens they're really doing something that in my view is pretty short sighted and could cost them fans.
  18. TJ is such a sweet and nice kid. I'm glad he is in remission. Go get them TJ!
  19. As for his posts, I could only comment if I understood them. He tries I suppose but I don't have the brain power to read through them because it is excruciating and taxing. However, I do know I am never getting on twitter and facebook to give them a reason to rationalize this idiotic decision to close the boards.
  20. I believe he has all the incentive to break out this year. First he has a year in the system and secondly while it may not directly affect his status on the team, he still has 2 high draft picks selected this year that'll breathe down his neck for playing time. Players perform best when there is competition and hopefully he'll come out on top.
  21. We have Joe Flacco that can strike fear in teams "BUT" the bad play calling kills us every time! Teams expect to see that arm but the run on 1st and 2nd pass on 3rd and punt makes it easy for teams to figure out and then they know when to blow up the O line and rattle Joe! WRs need to play decoy and get the ball to our arsenal of TEs like brady and big ben are doing! No secondary can cover our TEs down field! THEY 2 BIG! Ok, first things first...Flacco does not strike fear in any defense. If Flacco strikes fear in defense, then what do you call a guy like Rodgers or Brady doing to opposing defenses. I will say this, opposing defenses know Flacco is capable of throwing it deep, and that he can pull of a good drive here and there. But the fact is, Flacco is very predictable, he does not call audibles when the play is so obvious, and he is inconsistent. I guess you forgot the games where he threw handful of interceptions, making average defenses look like the Ravens 2000 defense. Flacco doesn't strike fear in defenses and therefore we are building a defense that strikes fear in offenses. Joe is a very good QB that has limitations and as long as we work around those limitations he can be very effective. The problem however is we aren't working around his limitations and instead driving right through them. How? By not giving him a great O-line that protects him long enough for him to get rid of the ball and not having a robust run game that we use as our first option. If Joe had a good running game and good protection, he can take us back to the promised land. But, our coaching lacks imagination and were erroneously making Joe the focus of our offense.
  22. Jamaal Charles just signed with Denver and as for Kaepernik I think he'll be a great back up for Joe. But, I also like the kid from Western Michigan and he's really mobile and really accurate.
  23. In my opinion Q isn't coming back because Detroit is a better option for him right now. Also, why would he want to come back here when he was unceremoniously trade after winning the SB? I don't think he's ever voiced an interest to come back but this year Harbaugh voiced an interest to having him back but I don't take that very seriously.
