  1. To me Tim Williams is the most exciting pick that I'll be looking forward to following. He can be the best thing that happens to us in a long time if he is given the proper guidance and framework to succeed. I am very confident given that Jimmy Smith, Jernigan et al were productive and stayed out of trouble here. I am confident Tim Williams will be a super star in this league and will be a Raven for a very long time.
  2. Don't know but they have a clock running down to D day! lol
  3. Yep - hugely successful businessmen are notorious for being content with mediocrity... Well hugely successful businessmen are notoriously content with mediocrity if mediocrity doesn't really affect the bottom line in a shared system like the NFL. Look at the Skins for example or the Bengals or the Raiders from a few years ago. They didn't care because their bottomline was unaffected by performance. But, Bisciotti is a different breed that thrives on excellence and expects excellence so we're blessed.
  4. It would be unreal. It seems like they expect the Bengals to do such things given they don't want to pay full price for anybody. The moral expectations for the Bengals is so low, they can get away with signing anybody with issues no matter how terrible.
  5. When are they planning to introduce the rest of the picks to the fans? Hopefully soon.
  6. That is high praise for Tim Williams. I know this much. Tim Williams excites the entire fanbase as to the possibility of a great pass rushing talent being acquired late in the draft. Now, its really up to the coaches to coach him up, inspire him to be the best by encouraging him, challenging him and getting the most out of him. If he is utilized properly he'll excel but if he is not, then he'll fail. Tim Williams is like the highest quality pliable clay and the coaches are the sculptors. If you wait too long the clay will be un-pliable and useless. So, use him well Pees and Harbaugh. Don't waste his talent like you did with Brown, Correa and Elam.
  7. Trader? How exactly do you surmise that from that photograph? If you somehow did you are an exceptional code breaker because for the life of me, I can't figure this riddle out!
  8. Don't look past Tim Williams. If he is allowed to do what he does best, he'll excel at rushing the passer. But I don't expect that he'll be utilized effectively and that is what scares me about Harbs. Talented players wither away and are ultimately gone. I hope this time around they're able to exploit the talent of Tim Williams. The concept of the dog house needs to be removed entirely or if not, then it should be reserved for bad coaching/coaches.
  9. Really? It doesn't take 18 hours a day for 6 months to make an observation. I was only going by Brandt's list and other pundit lists of the best available udfas'. You can do the same as well. Here let me provide a list from Gil Brandt. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000804999/article/top-undrafted-free-agents-following-the-2017-nfl-draft
  10. I like his aggression. He looks like a Raven at least in the video.
  11. For now, B is about the right grade. But, quickly depending how many of the first 5 picks turn into starters or not, could determine if it slides down to a C or goes up to a quick A. I am betting on A. I see Marlon Humphrey starting by season's end. I see Nico Siragusa starting right away at LG. I see Tyus Bowser splitting reps with Judon and Suggs as a pass defending linebacker and Tim Williams coming in as a pass rush specialist on 3rd downs much like Dumervil did last year. Wormley is going to split reps with Urban and Kaufusi at DE and Chuck taking on an active special teams role. Jermaine is the only one I don't see being on the 45 on game day because he needs to develop his football skills this year. If all of these predictions come to pass, then this draft is an A for me.
  12. Yes it does sound familiar and about time too. I agree with the philosophical shift in strategy. They tried to be an overpowering offense that puts up 30 + points every game and failed miserably to accomplish that. 4 yrs of playoff drought is enough already. The one time they did make the playoff they had a running game. The old Ravens D did have an assist from the offense in the form of a great and strong running game. We need to see if the 2017 Ravens have that with the addition of Woodhead. I doubt that they compete with the rest of the division in the running game and that is really a shame. There is a chance that Dixon could be that 20+ carry back for us, but he's lost for the first quarter of the season. D is going to be really strong, but offense without the run game is a worry because I don't believe Flacco's passing is going to get it done. In fact, we need to limit his passing only to play action passing and make sure he passes less than 50% of the snaps.
  13. Daniel Jeremaiah followed by McShay and Kiper. I just think Mayock is a little too slick and tries to put on this facade of being a great football mind that knows more than everybody else.
  14. Just going by all the responses on welcoming Tim Williams, it seems the fan base is most excited about this guy!
  15. So where did they come up with the 244 lbs? In any event, Muhammed Ali was the Greatest at 6'31/2 - 212 lbs!
  16. Von Miller is 6'3" and 250 now. So, my feeling is just as a matter of course under Saunders, he'll put in 5-6 pounds over the course of the year and get stronger perhaps. Based on the 'science' video I say he is supposed to have legs the size of Arik Armstead of SF who is a 6'7" giant! So that's where he gets his explosion I suppose.
  17. What happened? I thought we must be the most desirable team formost UDFAs' and their agents? Did our scouts get outmaneuvered by other teams for the cream of the crop?
  18. I watched him against Memphis and came away unimpressed. He can't seem to shed blocks, doesn't get penetration but most disappointingly wasn't playing through the whistle. He was ineffective at least in that game. Unless he's vastly improved since that game, I don't understand why there is so much hype surrounding him. Anybody?
  19. As long as Mallett doesn't try to do too much and can be a good game manager we'll be okay especially if the defense proves to be as good on the field as it looks on paper, it really won't matter. But, having said all that I would rather have Joe stay healthy and available.
  20. Tim Williams is by far the most exciting pick of the 2017 draft imo. He's just exciting to watch man. Not monstrous in size but a technician who can get to the QB.
  21. can you post a link to the video. I searched for it with no success.
  22. The Steelers are our real rival and is why I dislike them vehemently. The Bengals are the armpit of the AFC North man! They have no class from the owner all the way down to their draft picks. Who with an iota of morality would pick Mixon or a Burfict? Not the Ravens and I'm near certain nor would the Steelers. We build through the draft and coaching by selecting quality players that are warriors when they play each other. In my mind there are 3 top of the line franchises in the AFC - Pats, Ravens and the Steelers. In the NFC - Pakcers, Seahawks and the Giants.
  23. Hmm... I watched the memphis tape for Bowser and I don't think he was effective at all. He couldn't shed blocks or get penetration and he didn't seem all that persistent on plays. But, again that;s just me watching him for the first time. I'm sure the Ravens front office has watched a ton of tape on this guy and know he's really good enough to warrant pick #47
  24. He plays through the whistle and I think he can be coached up. The issue I see with him is not enough knee bend and he kind of leans forward outside his center of gravity while run blocking. He's going to have to change that at the next level.
  25. That isn't happening in my view.
