  1. Well if Foster is available I think they salivate while writing his name and running to the podium with the card.... I truly believe they'll choose him over any other player available. Imagine our ILB corps at that point. Nobody will be better and will resemble Patrick Willis & Co.
  2. I can't see how you trade Zuttah to let Urschel or Skura take over. As for RT I think Nemot and Wesley have potential. I really think we need to bring back Doom at a reasonable salary and have him as a 3rd down pass rusher.
  3. That was helpful.
  4. I think we need to go WR, OLB, O-line, RB and then CB just given how deep this draft is for quality CBs... I think we can get a good developmental CB in the 4th round.
  5. To be honest I really don't know how it's computed. I know it isn't simple math, but may have to do with contract values, playing time and pro bowl appearances as well I think.
  6. Well Kamar Aiken is gone on a prove it deal to Indy. So with regard to comp picks, where do we stand? We lost Wagner, Juice, Ducasse, Aiken and Guy and have signed Jefferson, Carr and Woodhead. We are 2 up on the comp pick count right?
  7. Noted. Upon reflection I think you may be right.
  8. We wouldn't of course. I am not advocating trading Joe. I was just responding to a post. I was simply stating why we would get a ton of picks should we ever do that. Hopefully that clarifies my post.
  9. I really think we need to bolster our run game, receiver, o-line and edge rusher in our first 3 rounds. The CB class is pretty deep and we can find one that is really good in the 4th and beyond. In any case, he can sit behind Jimmy and Brandon and learn and get ready. I would believe if Barnett is available when we pick, we go for it. If he isn't and one of the top 2 WRs available, we go for them instead. However, if all of them are gone we go for 1 of the top 3 RBs in the first round.
  10. Sure! They're talking about giving up the #1 pick for Garrapolo and perhaps another high draft pick next year. So, what's so strange about expecting 2 first round picks for Flacco who's won a SB in 2012? In fact I would expect more no matter how Flacco has played since then. Garrapolo has exactly 2-4 games of starting experience if that.... and no QB in this league who's a starter is worthless period. Flacco is certainly not. Let me state I don't think he's elite or in the top echelon of QBs' (Brady, Rodgers, Brees, etc.right now, but he's surely somewhere in the second tier.
  11. Great thing to do Tony. If Webby does come back and I'm hopeful he will, then yes Webby deserves the #21! You'll more than likely be wearing a different number once the season starts. Great gesture on your part!
  12. Withdraw the tender offered to West so the poor chap can find a good landing place if you are considering adding RB either in the draft or getting AP. Its the right thing to do.
  13. This is by far the most effective post you've made even though you're rolling in laughter at something that is logical and perhaps right. See you can convey a lot more if you don't type words and make sentences.
  14. Some hits and some misses and some still unknown. But only Rice resigned... I'm still hopeful that Williams and Correa may pan out.
  15. Social-media killed the message-boards star! Far worse than Video killed the Radio star!
  16. Anybody know the current status on Webby? Have the Vikings close to signing him or do we still have a chance to bring him back at a palatable salary?
  17. This is just one of those really deep drafts where we wish we had 11 picks instead of 7. I would've no problem trading down in this one and collect a couple more 2-3rd round picks.
  18. I see!
  19. Huh? So when are you drafting both Ross and M. Williams exactly?
  20. Where is John in the cartoon? A mini Harbaugh standing at the feet of Ozzie, looking back and forth between Pees and Mohrinweg with a thought bubble saying -"I'm lost. What's going on Ozzie"??
  21. If we had Watson instead of Pitta catching all those 80 catches, he would've had over a 1000 yards and 7+ TDs for the amount of receptions Pitta had. It was unfortunate we lost him. I still believe we shoudn't cut him and make him TE#1 and Pitta and Boyle TE#2 depending on whether we pass or run. Watson is a superior athlete and a better TE even at his age than Pitta is.
  22. Well I just read somewhere that the Dennis Pitta restructure is somewhat similar to last year's pay cut where he has the ability to earn back all the money. Now, I'm praying the front office has qualified that with some measure of yards achieved per reception caviat. Otherwise we are going to see a repeat of dink and dunk passes on 3rd and long situations to Pitta for less than a first down completion. Having that fact off my chest, I do believe if we create a really balanced offense with Roman's help, we have a chance to be competitive with who we have on offense. We need a WR either through the draft or free agency (late cuts/releases), we need to draft starters on the Oline and maybe a really good RB that'll complement Dixon and Woodhead. We have a chance but only if Flacco is willing to peel his eyes off Pitta and sees everybody on the field and uses good judgment when forced to pass the ball. I want him to learn to throw the ball away rather than throw it to opponents or take stupid sacks in the red zone.... I still have hope for 2017, but the Pitta restructure doesn't inspire confidence.
  23. My first takeaway is Thank God for Brandon Carr! My second takeaway is Thank God that Claiborne didn't immediately agree to our $5M/yr offer. My third takeaway is Thank God the Ravens didn't offer more money to sign Claiborne because he would've agreed and become Eugene Monroe's second coming!!!!
  24. He did stick up for the guy! Jefferson seems like a stand up and intelligent guy who's also thoughtful and well spoken.
  25. I think Brandon Carr was a blessing in disguise. Availability trumps availability regardless of talent. I would rather have 100% of 10,000 than have 0% of a million! Great signing by the Ravens even though they almost went for that 0% deal....
