  1. I thought they squashed the Sherman trade talks. Who did? The Ravens front office? If true, I wasn't aware of it. At least the Seahawks haven't... http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000797838/article/seahawks-gm-richard-sherman-trade-talk-news-is-real
  2. The only other absolute possibility if it isn't Sherman, it has to be Mangold. He doesn't count against the comp pick formula as he was cut. So it could be Mangold becoming a Raven sooner that we know. Man that would be nice!
  3. Boy I hope that you are right.... IDK but I am hoping that is true. I didn't hear that but that would make me feel a lot better about the deal. I seriously doubt that is the case, but if it is - I'm rooting for Timmy to have a monster season.
  4. I'm calling it now. The Seahawks are in the market to trade Sherman and we're looking to trade for someone. Don't be shocked if we trade for Sherman to make our secondary absolutely devastating in the next few days. Remember I called it first.
  5. 31 days Mod! Leave us be and so what if its a little chaotic and disorganized! We are all on our death beds and you want order and logic? Come on man!!!!
  6. The Ravens effectively got a late 3rd round pick for the trade which when you think about it is pretty good. My initial reaction was they traded him for a 74th pick and obviously I was ecstatic. Then I found out we gave up the 99th pick to move up to the 74th and I was bummed out. But, now upon reflection and looking at draft value I'm back to thinking this wasn't so bad after all. Even assuming Jernigan balls out and gets a huge contract next year, we couldn't have done better than a 98th or 99th compensatory pick in 2019 and that is assuming the best case scenario. Given Timmy's inconsistency the Ravens correctly played percentages and took the sure thing now which is better in two regards. The Ravens would never have gotten a 94th pick no matter how much contract money Timmy got next year and moreover this year's draft class is chock full of potential starters in several positions. So, when you look at the big picture and what the Ravens had in terms of depth along the D-line this was an obvious trade and a good one at that.
  7. Given it was a swap and not a straight up deal for their 74, I think it's pathetic as well. I would have rather had Timmy's production this year and then waited till 2019 for a nice comp pick...
  8. I wasn't aware of the swap till just now. I hate it now as well.
  9. Was it a swap? Dang! I thought it was straight up #74... Well in this year's draft that is certainly a big deal.
  10. Traded to the Eagles in return for their 74th pick. I think it's an awesome trade given that he would be gone next year!
  11. Timmy Jernigan traded to the Eagles in return for their 74th pick! I think this is a great move by the Ravens!!!!!!
  12. Hey man! Easy now because my raven looks black and gold too!
  13. Amen! I remember meeting Ray Lewis as well and saw a tall rookie practice - Joe Flacco!
  14. If all of us here finally decide on moving on to the same board, I think the conversations will be well served and fun.
  15. In fact, I truly believe he is better than Cam in my opinion of course. Cam is a threat that is hard to defend given his athleticism but Flacco is a better QB. I would put Flacco on par with Romo and Eli and Rivers, but below Brady, Rodgers and Brees right now. I also think he is better arm talent than Ben as a QB but Ben has way better intangibles than Flacco does in his escapability and extending plays. So yes, if we are ever stupid enough to trade him, I expect the farm and then some.
  16. RSR initially got me with the 'Alshon Jeffrey' headline... but after the first para or so I knew I was being taken for a big April's fool!
  17. Now that's cruel man! But, I wouldn't mind it if he falls to us!
  18. 'purposely ignoring it' just about sums it up!
  19. Marshawn Lattimore dropping to us? That isn't happening. I think most of the guys mentioned here are doubtful with the exception of one of the top 3 receivers. I don't believe Barnett falls to us either. Ryan Ramczyk I don't really think we'll draft.
  20. I suspect we'll take John Ross with our #16 pick but my preference would be Foster if available or if not Derek Barnett.
  21. I have to admit the Alshon Jeffrey headline got me! But as I started reading I just knew...
  22. The bottom line was the defense was ranked 7th in the league and the offense was in the bottom half in the league. Yes, for Flacco to be successful he needs a lot more than a stout defense. He needs in no particular order, to play like an elite QB with at least 25-30 TDs and less than 10 Ints. Have a yards per throw far more than last year, needs a stellar running game and needs a great offensive line that can give him more time to find a receiver. Right now, if he's under pressure the headlights freeze him into mistakes. So, they need to give him enough time so he can succeed.
  23. Wow! This is so April fool's day! Makes zero sense from every logical perspective but a great attempt to fool for sure.
  24. Here's my gut. We select Corey Davis at #16 of the 2017 draft and he's going to ignite our offense right from the get go. With Flacco hopefully recovered from his knee fully and perhaps does take the time to work with his receivers during off season to build a rapport and timing with them, and the addition of Roman to the coaching staff, we should be able to run the ball more effectively as well. So, I think our offense won't look like the ugly step sister of our defense any more.
  25. Barnett in a heartbeat! He'll prove to be this draft's best pass rusher by a mile eclipsing all the hype of Myles Garret.
