I hadn't realized we passed on diggs. Oh man! I would say it makes sense to pass on him because of all the injuries, but we took perriman in the first who also has an injury history
Hopefully brooks will get a shot this week. Like to see just how he looks coming off the injury. He was really starting to develop before going down
Don't risk it. Be 150% sure you're healthy and ready to play. Don't come back early again.
Honestly if we end up with a high first round pick and someone offers Ozzie something like a lower first round plus a second and third, I'd hope Ozzie does take it. We have more than 1-2 needs to fill. By my estimation we kind of need more than one pass rusher, two CBs, a WR and maybe a safety. And that assumes we resign KO and Tucker. So unless theres a specific Ray Lewis or Ed Reed or Ngata sitting right there when we pick (which is rare) absolutely trade a top five pick down to a top 20 pick and a few more early round picks. We won't hit gold on all of them and I'd rather have a couple extra shots in those first four rounds. The teams that move up for a top five player inevitably overpay and do worse than their trading partners.
FWIW PFT kind of suggested this morning that Pags might be on the chopping block after the awful play he called against the Pats last night. Wonder if he might want his old job back...
I agree with trading back. Too many holes to fill. I also want chuck back. I mentioned it a while ago that he was on the hot seat. Now, after that play call, his seat is on fire. Do we need a bring chuck back petition or what?
The bottom line is Joe Flacco is throwing INTS! People keep Blaming The Defense and it's not their fault some just find it convenient to put it on them instead of the QB! Just like blaming Torrey aga the pats when it's on film Marlon was opwn across the middle Joe could of ran up the sidelines or Justin should have got the ball but no one will put it on Joe just pass blame on Pees because it's convenient! Count the INTS this season or I guess people don't like FACTS that too much like rite SMH! Joe threw it rite to 49ers like they had on Ravens jerseys and no one has a problem with that it's Pees fault for those INTS! SMH!
That's type bottom line? No sir. I disagree. Admittedly, Flacco 2nd interview was one of the dumbest things I've seen next to the Colts fake punt. However, when type team is averaging over 20 points a game and opposing qbs are averaging over 300 yards passing; more fingers need to be pointed than just at the qb. Be real. We could be starting Schaub and losing every game by double digits
A top 5 pick sounds better than making the playoffs right now. Look at it if this team somehow snuck into the postseason which will not happen. They will get smacked around. If you can't beat teams like the Browns, Oakland, 49ers you don't deserve to be in there. Next up is Arizona which will be another L. Looking ahead of the schedule Ravens may win just one game and that's against the Jaguars, but then again that secondary will make Blake Bortles look like a hall of famer.
Bortles is averaging something like 300 years per game. There is no question he will Look like a HOFer against this secondary
This Arizona game is not going to be pretty...
Matt would win his first start with the Ravens and Marlon would have a career day! Joe is DONE! Can't blame Harbs, Pees, blocking and the WRs for not one but TWO INTS! Let Matt start Let Matt start!
You're being sarcastic right?
i missed REX's CONTROLLED CHAOS.
Chuck was a darn good coach too, and the players love him. By the sound of things in Indy, he might be looking for a job next season
I think these players are faking it, either that or their not tough
Easy to say from your couch huh?
If buck runs like he did last week, we'll be ok. Give Forsett a chance to get 100, and not have to rush back
Maybe its the coaching? The guy teaching them never played that position.
You could be right, but he really wasn't much of a factor with the rams either. I think it's more scheme and the players around him then anything. Maybe he just finally had a break out season. Who knoes. Point is, there are a numerous of factors to hey he isn't a raven so to say that ozzie is letting all the good defenders walk and name Stewart as a prime example doesn't give that argument substance
Right, I want Steve to light a fire under Harbaugh, I remember the post season report after the bad season following the super bowl. They can blame it on injuries but our offense is scoring and our secondary is healthy, it's a lack of the right leadership. Side note, have anyone seen Suggs on the sideline motivating his teammates? I'm sure Ray would be out there injured...
Suggs is out there
We let good players walk out like they are nothing. Darian Stewart is playing lights out in Denver, James Ihedigbo is very solid in Detroit. They were not expensive at all, but instead we decide to bring old, injury prone guys...
Stewart was a bum when he was here. Good for him that he's playing well now, but he was a liability on the field when he was here. How much of his success right now is due to the fact that he has 2 pro bowl cbs, and Von miller and ware to put pressure on qbs?
Read on article on BR focusing on players that could possibly be traded. Could we trade a 3rd or 4th rounder to get the likes of either Cameron wake, or sean smith? Smith seems a bit pricey, but wake doesn't appear to command top dollar at the moment
Maybe now well be able to grab Hargreaves or Ramsey in the draft. The ways things are going we may even get robert nkemdiche or Jordan jenkins
By compete you mean start because he's definitely an upgrade with the way Arrington and Walker have played. I live in San Diego and I remember being pretty good for the chargers. May not have the ints, but he was solid. Don't know why he didn't see the field for the 49ers though
Hope his Achilles, ACL, MCL, Hamstrings and Lower back last for more than one game.
This could not be more perfect
Brandon Fletcher & Taylor Mays were also available.
Sarcasm? Not fletcher from the Eagles. He and Mays are actually WORSE in coverage than anyone we have on roster now, and that's saying a lot!
Trade Joe Flacco now and rebuild the defense. This season is over; perhaps Dallas or Denver might be willing to give up a few of their defenders? Wholesale personnel changes are needed for the Ravens to be NFL competitive - including significant management changes.
Are you trolling, or are you serious? Let's think about all the qbs before Joe Flacco. Only one comes to mind that is comparable is Steve McNair.
Looks like we're signing Wright. I figured this was a sure thing since 1.we need CB help 2. Wright was pretty good last year 3. He knows the 49ers playbook and we play them next.
I agree to some degree. However, you take risks with blitzing. The point is to get home quickly and force the qb to throw hot if you don't. If the blitz doesn't get there, then there is that chance of a large completion, but if you blitz and leave the qb with easy hot reads then the blitz will never get home. Zone blitzing is a thing too. Blitz out of a cover 2, 6 or 3 with one or more cbs in the flat for the hot and the safety rolling over the top. It just SEEMS like we're blitzing out of a cover 4 every time with two deep safeties and the cbs playing soft and that left us exposed imo. Basicly we look like we run a basic defense. I think pees lacks confidence in the secondary which causes him to play soft. The irony is that the soft play calling is killing us.In some ways, you sort of have to. I'd agree with your assessment IF the blitz was actually working, but about half the time it didn't. The Browns did a great job of picking it up.
So if we're sending six or seven guys, and leaving our corners in man coverage with little or no backside help, and they're playing tight man to man, that's a recipe for 40 yard completions consistently.
The reality is that, with the current guys we have out there (especially considering Dumervil was hurt), we can't afford to blitz and not get there, or at least not make a throw unbelievably uncomfortable. When that doesn't happen, every NFL QB in this league will complete first downs.
YOu want change..... here it is, 1- Fire Dean Pees 2. sit CJ Mosley 3. put 2 TE ,1-
FB and 2 RB in the game and sit all the WR. Somebody will get their Butt in gear.
Sit CJ because he had a bad game? We're all angry here, but let's not get carried away. Let's not be those fans who quickly turn they back on players. We aren't Washington and CJ isn't RG3
Loyal to a fault, and I respect that. However, it might end up costing you a job in the long run if we have another season with defense this porous

I wanted Dorset as far as wr, but he really hasn't done much either
