Corner is really deep this year, not surprised we're having a run.

I really couldn't decide between Desir and Watkins, so I'm pretty happy you made my decision for me.

I really like Watkins here, although some will think it's too high.

He played well at outside corner, nickel and at safety. Solid size, good, fluid athlete and a more than willing tackler. 

Fun side note: he's Sammy Watkins older brother.

People just don't like drafting QBs for whatever reason.

I think there's been one year that I haven't drafted a QB.

I tend to grab them because of the value they provide, plus I tend to have more than just one year in mind. I was taking Bortles if he fell to #31. 

Been quite frustrated with the draft this year largely because players and runs just aren't going where they'd benefit me.

Some very good players flying off the board right now.

Anyone short of draft picks that wants to move down, I'm your guy. Got a lot of picks to work with.

Also, very happy to acquire Lamar Miller for a 5th round pick given Spiller's being prone to injury and excelling with a lighter workload. Doing everything I can to make Manuel's job easier. Given him a defense which looks better than the unit I started with, while giving him more targets and better protection.

I would say he is more of a mid 2nd, but both he and Robinson are reaches according to my board. Then again people want to get their WRs.

There were a few reaches for receivers last year too, if I remember correctly.

Oh, wow. So the jump from 32 to 29 may have saved my selection. Phew. Sorry to hear about the list. I thought that Matthews would've fallen to the 2nd round as well.

Having back-to-backs at 40 & 41 is solid compensation, especially since I REALLY didn't want to pick at 31. Anyone that remotely filled a need would have been a pretty big reach, while guys I have as top 25 types would be extreme overkill at other positions.

Who was on your short list?

Cooks, ASJ, Su'a Filo and, as a "surely he'll still be there" safety net, Matthews.

Basically, 20-29 could not have really gone any worse for me.

Top 20 player, with upside of a top 5 guy. He'll be disruptive as a one gap penetrator and it anyone can get him to develop it's Mike Zimmer. He can play 1 tech or 3 tech in my scheme. Glad I got him, he's the other player I considered at 18. And he basically gets to stay put since Minne is playing at his college stadium for a few years.

He was one of the two players I was looking at, but I really didn't want to spend a 1st on a guy that I hadn't spent that much time scouting given the players I have at his position.

Now have 15 picks to play with for the rest of the draft, while I feel I haven't really lost out on much moving from 31 to 40. Hopefully that feeling won't change...
