  1. Clady is coming off of an ACL tear, a one year show me deal for Clady like Denver gave Okung could work. In this scenario Clady would compete with Monroe for the LT spot, and the club would not have to pick Clady up for 2017 unless they felt he was a better option than Monroe.

Ferguson is 32 and has never missed a start. Ferguson would not come with a potential one year deal like Clady, but he might be a cheaper option overall and a solid backup to Monroe if Ferguson didn't win the LT spot outright.

The idea is to add more depth or consistency at tackle, not to trade one poor situation for another. Also Pitta would be a better option as a June first cut to free up 6 mil.

If the Ravens make a run at Okung it would have to be a show me deal. They would also have to keep Monroe, trading one oft injured OT for another isn't the best move.

Okung might be able to be had for a song, and can play both sides of the offensive line.

Looks like the only chance he'd get legitimately to play LT is in Pittsburgh or possibly Denver if they move Clady over. Every other team that is interested in him would probably move him to RT. Okung has played in more games the last two seasons than Monroe. 14 in 2014 and 13 in 2015. There already seems to be about 4-5 teams in the mix so the market is probably too hot for the Ravens.

Okung would compete with Monroe for the LT spot. The only reason the Ravens would have a shot at him is due to his injury.

Some teams without a solid option at LT might not want to take a chance on a player who just had shoulder surgery, having Monroe would make signing Okung much less of a risk.

  3. @akacrow Reggie Nelson is good in all but it's going to make our defense much older they should just wine up and trade up to get Ramsey.

Older and better, Nelson was arguably the best defender in the league in 2015. They also have Webb, who might be better suited at nickle than full time safety. All in all Webb at FS is not too shabby, although there are ??? as to how Webby will hold up vs the run.

  4. To be realistic Waller ran a 4.5 (average), and is a true 6'6(not 6'5 like Marlon who is actually 6'3 5/8). Also unlike Streeter, Waller has very soft hands, and plus body control. Waller is also one of the smartest players in the draft.

The negative on Waller is he might not have the quicks to play wideout consistently, and might be better suited playing the slot like a move tightend where his match-up potential can be fully exploited.

  5. the GIF was his answer, obviously you arent capable of comprehending that - in other words your question is ignorant and lacked logic - just blindly picking the BPA regardless of need is how you end up like the lions or the jets, tons of talent but they arent going anywhere. Just because you are picking BPA that fits a need doesnt mean you are reaching for anyone, evaluations are completely subjective

Hilarious, is this your other account?

Who was the Lions previous general manager, and drafting what position lead to his downfall?

  6. Are you stating that if we sign Steve Smith our only remaining need would be free safety? What about ILB, C, RT, TE?

However, if we do have a magical FA period before the draft and really do only need a FS at that point like your scenario states, then I say the clear answer is to look to trade down and recoup more mid-round picks to make up the ones we gave up for Monroe. Then, we can look to get Pryor later, hopefully. But since the draft rarely goes the way all the "experts" expect in terms of where people are actually taken, Pryor wouldn't be a terrible pick mid-first where we are. Mike Evans would be a major steal there, though. I doubt he's staring us in the face that late in the round.

It was a specific scenario, assuming that the only need was at free safety.  Pryor is more of an in the box safety along the lines of Matt Elam, I do agree that he is a very good player, and wouldn't be a terrible pick.

  7. Here is the scenario, the Ravens have signed Steve Smith, they are on the clock, the only team need is at free safety, Clinton Dix is off the board, and the highest rated player on their board in Mike Evans, do you take Mike Evans or Calvin Pryor who has a late first round grade on their board?
