  1. Tyrod wasn't terrible here to me.  He just didn't have a true opportunity to shine here imo because of the durability of Joe Flacco and because the Ravens offensive system was not for him...whatsoever!  The Ravens offense is more "tailored" (see what I did there?) for the stand still like a statue QB and make all the throws from the pocket regardless of whether or not a play can and should be made with their legs as well.  Just my opinion!  My thought for a QB is...anyway to move the chains, I'm all for it!

I actually hate this mindset about the NFL.  They scout these spread and "mobile" QB's, draft them and then try to change them from what made them successful in college and that got their (scouts, FO and coaches) attention opposed to building an offense scheme around their strengths (i.e. strong arm, quickness, elusiveness, throwing etc.).

Yes sir!  And the more he starts, the better he will become!  Good for him!

Stop hating!  Tyrod is ballin' for his first year as a starting QB in the NFL.

    I agree!  He's playing well!

Rodgers even said that he got scared.  lol  As far as the double standard?  I believe that it is warranted based upon Joe's inconsistencies over the years.  Joe struggles through out the regular season but everyone here gets excited about the playoffs because he magically becomes..."January Joe".  But where is that cat throughout the entire regular season?  Plus to me, when Joe looks good...he's good BUT when Joe looks bad...oh my goodness!  When those other guys look bad...we're shocked and surprised because they have looked so good (all things being equal) for so long.  Again, just my opinion.

Throughout the season he tries to figure out what is working and what not. he has to run a different system basically every year. he needs to get used to guys every year. so he uses the regular season to get set and into rhythm. coming january he knows exactly what he needs to to and how he needs to do it. I am so glad he isn´t about stats but to be fair I don´t think any QB in the NFL is...

  2. Yeah, that is daunting and like I said, I already have my concerns about him. I don't really want to but the truth of the matter is his toughness, durability, and drive to get back to the field will be heavily in question. I wouldn't say he wouldn't want to play Football, but he's just a questionable player and I do question his toughness.

this is not about pushing back to the field. this would be the dumbest thing to do right now. this is now about getting healthy and into football shape. we´ve already seen multiple times what happens when players are pushed back into action too early.

this might be a slow healing injury and it might not be a big thing either but it is serious enough for keeping him sidelined.

If they would have doubts that he will not be able to play he would have been added on IR already. But i think it is also a statement in his direction and should provide enough motivation to work his butt off...

I am curious to see what he will be able to add eventually...

  3. if anbody on this Team would think like that I wouldn´t want them next year!

All they have to think about is winning out the season. This might not be realistic but technically you would still be able to end the year 12-4. that would be great and everybody wouöd have signed for that before the start of the year.

I know this will not happen but that is the mindset I expect from professional Players.

You also don´t give up in your Job just because of one bad quarter...

what would that say about you and your mentality.

besides: there is not a single Problem on the Team that could be fixed by a top ten pick. we Need to get healthy and continue to rebuild. this is the Team that is without ray, ed haloti and now sizzle. so calm down, take one or two steps back and take a look at the complete Picture.

we have the right People in this Organisation and the right Players, if healthy to help this Team to win. we just Need to get some traction back.

Keep fighting and playing hard like the ravens are used to do. this is what I expect from our Team and coaches and I am 100% sure that they will do exactly that...

  4. Times have changed.  30 points ain't 30 points anymore.

But the pattern of inability to hold a team late has reared its Head.

We got monumental problems and big problems require drastic solutions.

    Newsome

Nah. Ozzy is not our Problem. He was the hero when he signed Doom for cheap and brought in Steve.

He is trying to fix it every week but it feels like everybody is going down...

It is sad to see max struggling and our Young Receivers not taking the big chances they are given lately...

  5. Flacco minus Anquan Boldin is closer to a chump than a champ.

    come on dude.

show me one other qb that has to deal with that kind of "weapons" for such a long time.

Where do you think would matty ice be without white and jones and the old tight end?

where would red carrot be without green sank and his great running game? plus he has a defense.

where would stafford be without megaton and tate?

  6. To be fair. He's the only QB who's expected to win with late round picks, undrafted people, journeymen, and people past their prime. Torrey, Boldin, and Maxx were the only exceptions, but spread across 8 years is tough. Also Perriman has literally not played but that's no one's fault; just terrible luck.

agreed. most of our guys at wr would´t even start on a top college team right now.

I am disappointed and really thought they might prove all of us wrong and step up. Didn´t happen.

Still think that 30 points need to be enough to win a game!!!

  7. Please man . We were in a position to win again with Forsett's td run . The 2 point conversion play call was beyond bad!

Cleveland set an all time passing yards record today !

They have been around awhile my friend

a lot of teams are setting passing record against our defense these days.

I remember days when games were´t close when we scored 30 points.

we are somehow lacking our identity...

on offense it is the lack of weapons but I do not see many excuses for the defense besides suggs...

    1

  8. Week 1 - We lose our real defensive leader (Suggs is more of a leader than Pees) in Terrell Suggs.

Week 2 - Defense just blows it (much like when we got pancaked by the Texans right after losing Ray Lewis.)

Week 3 - Gilmore goes down (Playmaker on Offense)

Week 4 - Smith Sr. goes down (Number 1 player on offense)

Week 5 - Doom, Forsett, and Webb go down

On top of that, Canty is out.

I think in a lot of cases, that many injuries to that many star players is going to doom us.

That leaves Flacco, Tucker, and Jimmy Smith as our only "star players" completely healthy.

    sad but true.

pretty much nothing a front office can do about that...

  9. Well we officially reek of spent fuel. So we better retool in every department - coaching and players.

this is a bit out of the line.

everybody got crazy after the draft. One got the impression that we do not even play anymore and will be handed the suberbowl for free.

then all those injuries happen. Who could know that perrimans body is made of glass?

The only thing that we knew was that our secondary was crap from the beginning. way too much hype on webb who technically had not even 1 good year...

  10. I was referring to the pressure in the beginning where Harbaugh said he is "day-to-day". I am glad he is no longer trying to predict injuries and he just lets the players heal.  I hope this extra scope and time he is taking allows him to fully heal and be effective when he does return.  I am very excited to see what the kids got and if he can become a good receiver for us

    gotcha!

  11. Aiken stepped up a bit against the Steelers, but is probably still not starter material. I'm not even convinced Brown should currently be on the team, but I guess we don't have anything else really. Waller is still incredibly raw.

Rolling with the young guys is the reason we're in this situation right now. I think it was made obvious that none of these guys are good starting options right now. I can accept Aiken as a spot starter, but him as the full time #2 has been rough.

I disagree. rolling with those guys has nothing to to with us being in that position. from my point of view we could easily be 4-0 if we would have been able to put together a team effort in all of those games. one time it was defense, one time it was the lack of running game. All in all it wash´t the offense that struggled from my point of view.

the thing is that they now get a chance that would have never ever been there if wash´t for all those injuries. it is good to get an understanding about what those guys are able to do as this could impact future decisions as well.

  12. Out of all of the players that left this past off-season, I would have to say Tryod Taylor is doing the best.

Even w/ the bad game he had on Sunday, he's still putting together a very good season (so far).

i think so too. and I am really happy for him. great athlete and he is showing that he is able to produce on that level.

was a good decision of rex going with him. I don´t think that many coaches would have chosen that option...

  13. A roster spot was enough of a premium for them to put Campanaro on IR eventhough his injury was only a couple week injury.  If SSS doesn't get hurt I understand we probably wouldn't have put Campanaro on IR, but if we are going to make a run we need as many available bodies as possible.  I want Perriman to play and to learn on the job this year, but they are putting a lot of pressure on him by not giving updates and making it seem like he is healing slow. The kid is more frustrated then anyone I am sure

I don´t think that they are putting pressure on him by not sharing updates about his status. in fact they are even taking pressure off him. Let him take his time. I just hope this is not something like oden in the NBA.

I was very excited about his acquisition to our team and still am. as soon as he will be ready this will be a totally different team again...

  14. To be honest with you guys here, I would like to see our young players getting some shots now.

There was so much hype for waller, aiken and brown during camp and now is there chance to really shine. nobody expected one of those (besides aiken) getting significant playing time this year.

Their time is now. Let´s see what they can do. No need for a trade in my opinion. further develop the run game and stick to ravens smash mouth football...

  15. Why can't we keep 4 TE when/if Pitta returns? Not to wish for it, but I'm sure we'll have an injury and I'm sure Pitta could just take that player's place. There's no reason to cut Boyle if you like him and carry 4 TE. What if Pitta comes back and gets hurt again?

I really don´t think Pitta will be a factor for this team in the future. Sad but (maybe) true...

  16. I was watching Game Rewind last night on my tablet...  And even the analysts were stating after he made a nice tackle... that Elam does soooo well up near the line of scrimmage...  and they also said:  "We see that a lot from new safeties in this league"...

We just need to give this guy a chance to grow and learn.  He's a very aggressive player and wants to succeed.  You can see that.

exactly. he was asked to play basically every spot in the secondary this Year and more. Who would´t struggle doing this? If he would have been able to play to his strengths (near the box SS like Troy P) he would have been much more recognized and not blamed held as much as it was the case this year...

  17. Lets be real here for a first round pick he is a bust.

with the way our secondary was playing this year and all the different personnel trying to adjust to their role I think it is fair to give him another chance next year. I really liked him last Year and he was solid at Nickel some times as well.

I think even sherman would struggle within our secondary...
