Tennessee is basically a lock to get Tunsil. Cleveland is either going quarterback or Bosa. Chargers probably will go with Buckner, Stanley, or Ramsey, but in my opinion their DL and OL need more help. Hardy is not returning to Dallas and Gregory is suspended 10 games.. They have holes everywhere and may go quarterback. Jaguars are on paper saying they would rather go front seven than secondary. That may change if Ramsey is on the board but I think with Jack's versatility on the Jaguars defense may benefit them more. No one really knows until draft day but I do believe it is not farfetched to think that Ramsey can fall to 6. I doubt he falls farther than 6.... But just remember Leonard Williams was almost #1 on everyone's boards last year and he got drafted #6. Also defensive backs usually don't go top 5 very often.

makes sense. as you said. it is just guessing at that point in time...

I think over the past few weeks I have bought into your guys' mock draft hype so I decided to make my own. Let me know what you think.

    1. Tennessee Titans: Laremy Tunsil OT Ole Miss

The Titans need to protect Mariota after he missed several games last season due to injury. He so happens to also be probably the best player in the draft and that is probably just because he plays a not-so-sexy position.

    2. Cleveland Browns: Carson Wentz QB North Dakota State

Even though I do not agree with the Browns to take a quarterback... I see their organization going this route with new coach Hue Jackson. While Goff is more polished and football ready, I see the Browns taking the stronger armed and more durable Wentz. This will be to attempt to imitate what the Ravens and Steelers have in Flacco and Roethlisberger respectively.

    3. San Diego Chargers: DeForest Buckner DE Oregon

While it took me awhile to bite into the DeForest Buckner hype. PFF has him as the highest rated prospect in this draft. His height and hand size combination with be deadly on a Chargers defense that needs a playmaker upfront.

    4. Dallas Cowboys: Joey Bosa DE Ohio State

A lot of people are bashing on Bosa saying he will not be able to compete at the next level. I still believe he is a threat and I do not understand how one day people say he is the best player in this draft and the next say he is a bust waiting to happen. Either way the Cowboys losing Hardy and the recent suspension of Randy Gregory sways the Cowboys to get a defensive end to try to help jumpstart a lackluster defense.

    5. Jacksonville Jaguars: Myles Jack LB UCLA

Myles Jack may be the most talented player in this draft class. Jacksonville has come out and said they want to upgrade their front seven before their secondary. Myles Jack and Dante Fowler Jr. are two guys that can get that done. Jacksonville may be swayed to choose Ramsey being the best defensive back in the draft, but I think the talent Myles Jack brings makes it a tough decision for Jacksonville.

    6. Baltimore Ravens: Jalen Ramsey DB Florida State

Some may say Ramsey falling to the Ravens is too big of a drop after his combine performance. But rarely defensive backs are taken that high on the draft board. Also other teams ahead of them have other needs to fill. I could see Myles Jack here as well. Ramsey with his freakish athletic ability will give the Ravens a defensive back as talented as they have ever seen since Ed Reed's departure.

would be awesome but I doubt it happens like that. What I could imagine would be the second best LT going top5. Maybe to the chargers. The OL is a joke...

  3. if it comes down to bosa vs buckner I would go buckner in a heartbeat. for me he has the higher ceiling.

bosa is someone like cushing coming out of college for me (mentioned that on a different topic already). he will be a very solid pro but not someone where you look back in ten years and say: hey - glad we took him at six...

I hate when people say things like this about prospects. Watt wasn't quite the prospect when he was drafted at 11. He's refined his game and become what he is. Why can't others do the same?

Also the Watt comparison is just lazy. He reminds me more of Suggs. A guy who doesn't have the best speed, but has great power and can turn the corner real quick and get to the QB after he's read the play

I also see more of suggs in bosa than anything else. JJ became the player he is by putting everything he has on the table every single day. The guy isn´t just tacking a single minute off.

If bosa is that kind of character has to be proven and everything about this would only be speculation. He has a pro ready frame of course so this is something that speaks for him and his effort. In my eyes he is close to brian cushing coming out of college regarding potential and readiness...

  5. For me it is very hard to pick one of the Top6.

I think only Ramsey is coming with close to 0 risk.

Bosa and Buckner could always end up like clowney (knowing that he is just in the league for 2 years)

VHIII is for the moment the most likely option. I think if it would come down to bosa vs VHIII we would pick the top corner of this year´s draft...

  6. I think webb will excel on the FS position. He is fast enough to still play corner but we do lack a true playmaker at the very end of the field. I think webb will do just that. His range should be great. He is a natural on that position. He was just that good to be able to play corner in the league. If it wash´t for all his injuries he would still be a top 10 corner...

  7. He does make boneheaded mistakes, and if you watch all of them make boneheaded mistakes, including Rogers, Manning, etc.. I just think we are sometimes hyper critical of our own players because they are the ones we watch every play, every game and we want them to be the best at what they do.

Of course you take a closer look when it is about your team. considering the many changes that Joe had to deal with since he is here, he did fine from my point of view. we all know what he is able to do in january. never the less do I see room for improvement especially when it comes to fundamentals...

I am a huge Flacco fan and think that he is the best QB for our system. Does this mean that one should´t ask for improvement?

  8. There is less and less excuse with increased calibre of receivers available. Perriman will be excellent down the field, his size and speed should negate some of those under throw interceptions.

That being said, he does make some hair brain passes at times where we all scratch our heads. Hope he can cut down on those.

so you want us to draft a WR early?

from what I´ve seen so far only aiken is somewhat starting material besides SSS and nobody knows how he will look like coming back from the serious injury...

  9. I was reading today that Steve was out of his walking boot and Suggs was still in his and Suggs had the surgery about 7 weeks prior to Steve that could be what the deal is just a super slow recovery

depends on the location of the torn, the body weight, etc. Smith hash´t to carry a lot of weight so he can stress the foot much quicker...

I wouldn´t read too much into this...

  10. Of course Suggs is not involved in the draft room!! But team leaders are sometimes consulted about a specific player or encouraged to speak up if he knows or sees something. And I would not post it if it did not come from a direct source or a couple of indirect sources that have no contact with each other. And it really looks like Suggs lobbied Grady!! However it definitely is not the sole reason for Suggs disgruntledness.

I am not sure about that. Do you remember the handpicked guys from flacco? e.g. doss...

Players of course can share their opinion but there is a reason why organizations have personnel to evaluate talent...

    0

  11.

    • Offense to average over 30 points per game
    • Flacco to throw for over 4500 yards
    • Defense to be top 5 in takeaways

The only important stat regarding flacco is INTs in my opinion. Look at Cutler. The guy has more 4k Yard seasons but also lot´s of INTs. I want Flacco to cut down the mistakes.

He is in his prime now and from my point of view sometimes still making rookie mistakes...

  12. That's not gaining cap space. Whether or not you take the full cap hit in 2016 or spread it out over two seasons doesn't change the total amount of cap hit. Again, you seem to have this false idea that having a bunch of cap space is a great thing, when the only sustainable way of building a team is through the draft.

As far as keeping the guys drafted recently, obviously we've still go practically everybody on a rookie deal worth keeping. If we go back in the Harbaugh era:

2008 - Kept - Joe Flacco, Ray Rice. Walked= Nobody significant

2009 - Kept - Lardarius Webb. Walked = Michael Oher, Paul Kruger

2010 - Kept - Dennis Pitta. Walked = Art Jones

2011 - Kept - Jimmy Smith. Walked = Torrey Smith, Pernell McPhee

So in every single one of those seasons, we kept at least one of those guys on a significant long term deal. Of the guys we let walk, only Kruger and McPhee stand out to me as players I actually would like to still have on this team. Given that we also swapped Kruger for Dumervil at a cheaper rate, its basically McPhee and nobody else.

one could also argue that the ones that demand higher cap spaces due to higher valued contracts haven´t been resigned. contract for a LT or DE is much more money compared to a TE...

  13. i can agree with this. when aiken is the #1, the playbook adjusts to his framed skill set which can only work for a game against a defense after the first or second week SSS is out. but when we need a burner to compliment SSS hes non existent. push him back to 3 or 4 and hes a mediocre possession receiver at best. he can be legit with the right weapons around him which is a rarity these days.

but is n´t this exactly what it is all about? putting players in positions where they are able to excel? Of course aiken is not a burner kind of player like torrey smith. you need to play to the strengths of your personnel. everything else would be foolish. why forcing someone into a role he cannot fulfill?

  14. In my opionion, Monroe has not proven as much as K.O. He has not shown at all to stay healthy. We talk about all the games Monroe has missed, but look at all the games he failed to finish. I reserve my judgement on K.O at LT until the season end, but Monroe has been the much more un-proven LT in my eyes even though we only have one game in which K.O played LT as crazy as it sounds.

come on. Monroe is a proven LT in the NFL and a very good one. He didn´t have any injury issues with the jags. He struggled to stay healthy with the ravens but so do a lot of players the last two years. they should really look into that. KO had his fair share of injuries and missed games as well and I remember a lot of discussions where people said we should let him walk because we have that much depth behind….

  15. The only reason i say that is because BP has had one knee injury so far, albeit the wierdest injury of all time but it was just a knee thing, of course it can happen again.  The thing that scares me about Camp, theres just so many issues he has had.  I have no doubt that if he plays 16 games he can be our legit number 2 guy, i love the kid's talent, sadly i just never see him being healthy for a full season.  I feel like he is a poor mans Amendola, considering the health issues, i think Camp is more talented.

we will never know…he just can´t stay on the field for longer than 2 weeks...

  16. lol you may wanna reconsider that. At least Campanaro has played. Not that he can brag lol. Campanaro is very comparable to Tyler Lockett. Lockett is slightly shiftier in tight spots but Campanaro has a little more top end speed. Lockett for all his burst has been caught from behind in his top gear many times. I have never seen Campanaro caught while in top gear. He also ran sub 4.4 before. For my money Campanaro plays faster than Perriman.

Campanaro can´t stay healthy for 5 minutes…neither can perriman though. No big future for the first guy mentioned from my point of view...

  17. I am confused. A lot of people in here wanted us to tank for draft picks and now as they are doing this the world is going down?

what exactly did you guys expect from a bunch of 3rd stringers against one of the hottest teams in the league?

all in all the future isn´t as clouded as most of the guys are trying to make us believe currently...

we will get a lot of players back and we had some really positive outings from some others (aiken, gillmore, I even think that flacco played good this year…)

  18. Yeah I don't quite get that comment. That's a confusing one.

I think what he meant is that suggs is more of a 10 sack guy instead of the 20 of Watt.

From my point of view Suggs is one of the best OLBs ever considering the various roles he needs to play on this defense. He basically can do everything...

  19. Each week we see a Raven team that is just plain bad. Poor team discipline, poor coaching decisions, lackluster play-calling and poor execution, and above all else sub-par personnel continue to plague or team.

It's time to bring in Joey Bosa.

    Let the count-down begin!!

and by that we would fix our offensive issues, right?

  20. A win against Jacksonville and we will slide up! It's definitely feasible that we could somehow squeeze into the #6 spot. A win against the Chiefs, Dolphins and Jaguars gives us the advantage. However, Oakland has the advantage over us, so we will need to have the better record. If I were Pittsburgh, I would be worried about going into a deep losing slump.

We aren't out of this folks! It could happen!

I agree. we have a lot of home games left and will only get better the longer it goes.

    hope dies last!!!

  21. You can keep 4 TE's. Especially if you don't have more than 3-4 WR's that deserve to see the field. And if we lose SSS even if we sign a good FA it's hard to see us have more than that available.

I'd take Pitta over Marlon Brown and likely Camp, Butler, or Waller.

might be true for now but  don´t think that pitta will ever contribute again. He was somehow a fan favorite because of one good year. similar to webb. nothing special afterwards but injuries. don´t get me wrong. I like him a lot. but he was already 26 coming into the league or something like that and he is above 30 now with 2 major injuries that will limit hymn for the rest of his live.

If he would be a true addition to this team coming back would tell you more about the quality we have right now...
