  1. I was going to do the same thing with watching 2nd half of 5 on AMC but my baseball league game was switched to Sunday afternoon so I'm screwed...

No way I make it without finding out spoilers.. Sigh

DVR and stay as far away from the internet as possible haha.

  2. I liked it. It was mostly a character and setting intro so they couldn't get too crazy, but I liked it a lot. The girl character, you'll know which one, is a classic Joss Whedon type of character and I think I'm going to like her a lot. Most people like Clark Gregg's character, I know I do and I'm glad they brought him back. Fitz and Simmons have great chemistry and I like them as well. The other main dude was a little wooden in the first episode, but we'll see how he grows. If you like Joss Whedon you'll probably like the show. Like I said, it seems like it has good characters like much of his work, and I've always liked his dialogue. Definitely give it the watch, it's on Hulu if people don't have it DVR'd. Hopefully he gets more than one season to do this one. The greatest tragedy in the history of television is that Fox ruined Firefly, and they only gave it (half of) a season.

I've watched a good chunk of the new shows that I'd give a chance, and I must say Brooklyn 99 is my big surprise. It's actually pretty funny, and I've always liked Andre Braugher. That's another show with good characters, I think that could be something. It'd have a better shot if they got rid of that wretched Mindy Kaling show and let New Girl be the lead in.

I'm a big Robin Williams fan, but I'm not sure the premise of that show is good and it seems like it's one of those force message comedies. I was just meh on The Crazy Ones.

I just watched Shield and I agree with you. I'm glad they brought Coulson back even though it was kind of a cop out. I also agree with Brooklyn 99, Samberg and Braugher are what is keeping the show afloat right now.

  3. I'm a little worried that after all the build up, Ted actually meeting the mother is going to be really underwhelming.

I think it'll be fine, these writers know what they're doing. Anything short of spectacular will be underwhelming for that show, and they know that.

Remember what they did with Barney and Robin last season?
