I had to research him too. Once you do, you'll find out why we selected him. Might of been a bit early, but not a huge reach. He's big and strong (as he plays to his size). He has great hands and is a great blocker. His speed is average for the tight ends in this draft. So he's not a burner for a TE, but he's not slow. He needs to work on his route running. But that's easier to fix than catching the ball. This pick was all about potential. He has the potential to be a great #2 TE and a huge redzone target.I don't see what everyone sees in West. But there is still a huge amount of offensive talent in this draft. So many guys that could become potential starters down the road. Fortunately we don't need them to start right away. My top WR prospect right now is Ellington despite his small size. He really seens NFL reasy.
