  1. Lets be Real.... Do we REALLY think that Pitta will suit up again?????

I really hope tou are right but the way he broke his hip the last time without even being touched I am not so sure. I hope you are right because I really want him to play.

    What makes you say that?

Pitta went down, had surgery, went down again with no contact and had another surgery. A third injury and surgery may cause enough damage that the once great athlete wouldnt even be able to run around with his kids. He has enough guaranteed money in his contract this year that cutting him wouldn't make sence except for a roster spot. I believe he is only at OTA's to keep his contract valid.

Like most fans I love watching Pitta play so I am for it if he does but what reasoning makes you think he will?

Ya guys I hope he is back and playing at a high level too. However it is going to be a uphill battle for Pitta to say the least.

2 serious season ending injuries in as many years.

  2. The competition at WR is going to be interesting but fun to watch. I just hope we get some guys to seperate themselves from the rest early. Not like a few years ago when Boldin left all the guys were talking big but NOT ONE of the guys seperated themselves from the others to take the starting spot next to T.Smith and we ended up with a bunch of average to below average guys at the position.

  3. I hope when they reduce S.Smith SR's playing time / offensive reps that they do it smarter than the Panthers did and ask him when he wants to take a breather through out the season. SSS knows his limitations better than anyone else and being aggressive and practicing harder and playing harder is his style he came in and had 1000 yards recieving after a lot of people said he was only going to have a average season because of his age. He thrives on proving people wrong ever since he got drafted this has been one of his strengths. I guess I am just trying to say let the guy get a breather when he wants to and when he wants to be on the field let him on the field at least until he stops being productive. Then shuffle the other WR's around him during the game.

  4. Yanda could eventually move to center in the latter years of his career for us. He's the kind of guy that we need to keep as a 1 club man. He was really good at RT too in his first 2 years with us. (graded out as the top RT on PFF in 2007 and 2008).

Hes a great football player. KO is a good football player. Yanda must remain a raven. He can shift to center once he's 33 and know he will be elite there.

I can buy what your saying....Sami84 I hope Oz gets it done and Tucker too.

  5. I would like to see us try to keep both. Yanda has been very durable and one of the best since he joined the Ravens but he is getting older. K.O. is a very good guard but he has had more time away from games due to injuries however he is younger than Yanda. It is a hard choice but I voted to try to keep both is that realistic? It can be done but it will cost some big $ for sure. For the Ravens to keep both guys they probabbly will have to give some sort of home team discount and K.O. is due for his first big payday coming off his rookie contract but Yanda deserves big money too. I just hope the "WIZZARD OF OZ" can work it out once again.

  6. Personally believe if we go into the season healthy with; Webb, Smith, Arrington, Hill and Lewis they can be a top 5 secondary by mid season.

At the risk of sounding like a "HOMMER" I second that.

  7. Due to injuries and the recent additions in the draft, these two have kind of been forgotten.  Both have a lot of potential that has yet to be seen. I've even read that Urban was a poor man's JJ Watt.  If healthy, do you see these two in the mix?  I personally think KLM will be on the bubble trying to fight for a roster spot.  Gaining his explosiveness back after an Achille's rupture might be a huge challenge.

I forgot about these guys thanks for reminding me. I believe KLM has an up-hill battle to fight and I wish him all the best and as far as Urban if I remember right he was comming on strong before his injury.

  8. I would like to see Webb and Jimmy get back up to speed and form early. If Jernigan can help the D-line get pressure on the QB and at the same time keep the running game in check that is going to help our DB's out as well. Jernigan did pretty good when he filled in for Ngata last year when he was suspended. I would not mind seeing more of Brooks but I want him healthy and fully recovered before he comes back so he does not have any set-backs. I like Lewis and Hill starting that in itself is a serious up-grade over Elam. I hate to keep picking on  Elam but until he starts tackling I dont want to even see him suit up. I say give someone else a chance to suit up on Sundays. Elam will have to earn his spot and the trust of his coaches /  team mates and the fans back. It will be hard because I think if he sees any playing time it is mostly going to be on special teams but at least he can work on his tackling there. At the risk of sounding like a serious hommer I think the Ravens are improved compared to last season after the draft and the few free agent signings we got and I think we are going to see a very special year as fans.
