  1. Dolphins are 6th in pass defense and 30th against the run. Its going to be in the 40s and raining on sunday. The run game needs to bust out in a big way. It's been doing better lately but we need it to dominate this week. Dolphin OL is super banged up so really this game comes down to line play.

Plus Jimmy is back at practice............

If I'm going to stand out in the cold butt rain they better win.............

Has anyone noticed how we've stopped losing games we should have won since we started taking field goals when we need to? Except for that one bonehead 4th down call that we happened to convert.. We have been mostly not going for it on 4th. And I feel like we've held more comfortable leads since we changed that

I agree.  I actually am surprised we haven't already cut Hester.  I would be SHOCKED if he is on the roster for the Browns game (unless he does something crazy like return 2 TDs vs. Steelers).  I think after the Steelers, he will be cut and Campanaro will be added.  And if Campanaro decides to sign elsewhere, I think we ride Webb or bring in Asa Jackson

Hester is there because we don't have many other viable options. Webb can do punts but he's not explosive at all.

Right and the latter is the biggest issue.

No different than John accepting the penalty in the Raiders game instead of allowing them to kick a FG. He gives his defense a 3rd and 17 from like the 35 yard line. He's giving his defense an opportunity to make a play that will keep points off the scoreboard entirely.

And what does the defense do? Give up a 16 pass, then jump offsides like 12 year olds on a hard count, then give up another like 20 yards for a TD. Hardly executing well wouldn't you say?

Here is the million dollar question though..........

How do you get professional football players to stop doing stupid Crap?

Nice point man and although I disagree I actually respect your opinion. It's worth debating forsure considering our lack of success going for it. But converting that play tells a coach a lot about his team. So I think the right call is to go. But like I said, your point is valid.

I don't know, maybe if we give them the bal at the 25 after a fg they still score, who knows. All I know is that taking points off the board combined with the other mistakes we are making just sets us back so far.

He's not a shutdown corner but he shutdown Beckham and Cooper? I know you're defending him here but Jimmy Smith is absolutely, positively a shutdown corner. Does he get beat sometimes? Yeah he does. Name me a shutdown corner who doesn't get beat because they all do.

Some on here would disagree with you but I am defending him here. He's obviously our best cb and I'd take him over most others in the league.

He's a damn good player and it sucks he got hurt because we probably win with him just like we probably win in 2014 against the Patriots

Hopefully he gets through concussion protocol because I shudder to think about what Brandon Marshall will do with our other guys.

He's super important to this defense. I don't know why people like to hate on him. Yeah, he's not a shutdown CB this year but he's still a good CB and I would take that over what we have without him. I hope the bench Jimmy crowd has died out.

After seeing what we are without him I sure hope so.
