We definitely breathed a big sigh of relief over here. I'd love to see him end up a Raven for life if he can keep his numbers up, and this is a great start!
I just noticed the ESPN article about the Ravens actually coming back to Tucker with a *lower* offer than they had previously made to him. What an insult. They appear to be clowning around with him if that's the case, and I don't blame him one bit for vowing not to resign with the Ravens after this "forced" season under the franchise tag. Seriously, who is crunching the numbers over there and deciding that with 13 Million in cap space, Tucker still isn't worth what his body of work has shown us?
Pay the man !!! Geez!
And to think I was ready to buy a couple of Tucker Ravens jerseys as soon as he signed. Good thing I held out, because he'll probably be kicking for the Steelers next season at this rate. Let's hope the front office can get it together before tomorrow's deadline.....but somehow I doubt they'll be trying very hard.
Tough break for the youngster. I'm disappointed, but he must be devastated.
Has any NFL player ever come back and had a successful career after missing their first 2 seasons?
Congratulations, Keenan! Looking forward to seeing you represent the purple and black !
Bosa has to be related to Johnny Football... lucky he spilled his guts so we didn't get stuck with a first round mental case.
It was an April Fool's joke article. Bosa is not really holding out.
Man....they got me on that Bosa article. I was already smh at this kid like "man....what a dumb move...." then read the last line. lol
Welcome aboard, Weddle! May your career in Baltimore be as mighty as your beard!
Many of the so-called "fantasy experts" have considered SSS a very late-round afterthought, saying he won't have enough gas in the tank to produce last year's numbers. Don't you believe it for a second. As fiery as he is, you know he's gonna push himself and the rest of the team to go hard and go out on top.
"Tyrod Time" is now "The Schaub Show". Boom. There ya go. ![]()
SSS takes a fiery passion for his game and competitive defiance that every young Raven should learn from. You don't have to break any rules, just get mad, play hard, and show them you are not to be messed with.
Maxx Williams is Maxx Williams. Everybody knows who JJ Watt is without having to call him JJ Swat. Plus he hasn't even played a down yet. Relax.
Walker, Texas Corner.
Pipe dream or reasonable odds after he is released? Considering Rice will be in for a suspension and Pierce will be coming off surgery, plus knowing Ravens want to add 1 RB before all is said and done...thoughts?
"Zuttah will also challenge incumbent center Gino Gradkowski for a starting role."
LOL - who are wi trying to kid here? Ozzie will never trade away draft picks for mere "challenge". The sheer fact of the trade means he's meant to start.
The reason the article says that he will challenge Gino for the starting role.....and the reason -every- new Raven, whether it is a draft pick, trade or FA pickup....will have an article saying the same thing.......is because ***nobody*** on this team is just handed a starting job. You *earn* it here.
Yes, it's Zuttah's job to lose, but if he walked in here and played like a total bum in the preseason, guess what? He would *not* be the starter. *That* is why you will see this every single time.
Austin, Texas in the house. We have about 50 fans watch the game at The Tavern here in Austin every week. Personally, I try to go to about 4 games every year - 2 in Baltimore, 2 on the road. Only did 3 this year (Houston, Seattle and the Browns on Christmas Eve). I also have my plane and hotel reserved for Indy... now if we can just close that deal.
After a year or so of sending new Austinites to the Tavern for Ravens games, I'll finally be able to go there myself. It's good to be back in town. ![]()

Is John Ross not on anyone's radar after that record setting 40? Or are these other WRs just all around better ?
