Let's hope the current WR's can stay healthy. If the Ravens defense doesn't shape up none of this will matter.
I would have paid Anquan Boldin and Torrey Smith to stay.
Ray is cool to say what he feels as we haven't looked close to what we should as a team. I want to make the best out of what looks to be an off year. That may turn out to be next years draft. High picks every round. I don't like losing, but the Colts did it to get Andrew Luck. We got Mosley thanks to finishing 8-8. This is how you build a team in today's NFL. By hook or by crook. Get that good draft we need so badly. Harbaugh stays no matter how many we win or lose. Same for Flacco.
I am with you brother! Our defense needs to get nasty!
cobrajet: It's going to happen. Let's keep it within the rules.
Kubiak was right when he said we are “building something great” here in Baltimore....The Broncos will be the first ones to see it. Denver will start a rookie LT and inexperienced Center (Gino got cut) so the Ravens should dominate the trenches when our defense is on the field. The Ravens starting offensive line is intact. I'm depending on them to protect Joe. First games are tough to predict but the Ravens should win this one big in the second half.
Timmy should stay off the field until he has healed. I don't like the sound of it being a close call. I want him back 100% no question. Rookie Carl Davis DT should get plenty of playing time. IMO he will give the Broncos O line a fit.
When Harbaugh was a Special Teams coach in Philly I bet a return specialist was a big deal to him then. If Rossburg doesn't do something to get a workable player we will be relegated back to the David Reed era. It's a bigger deal than they're playing it up to be. Don't tell me it's not... Oversights come back to bite. I want the Ravens to win Super Bowl 50.
At least 2 games a year come down to field position and kick returns. We know where we stand at P/K R. I still don't see one here but the chance to grab one through a trade/cuts is a reality. The Ravens need a KR threat to be a real contender in all phases of the game.
I like the wedges and lanes the Special Teams return team has given the PK return candidates so far. We need the quickness and speed to finish returns off. There were points to be had.
You can throw salt on the wounds or you can ask pertinent questions about the positives. We all saw what happened. I was more interested if John was happy with the play of his starters and what he was going to tell his team at halftime. Instead of reiterating about a heated exchange with his rival after a dirty hit. Harbaugh set the tone. I liked what I heard from John.
Anybody that condemns our team for their reaction to this incident, that's crazy. Notice that the starters were pulled just after it. I don't blame them either. That pile drive was solo dangerous. Illegal, and hes, there needs to be a suspension and a fine.
I agree 100%. Smith Sr needs to take note that Denver may try to intimidate him the same way in our season opener with a scrub player to get him ejected. We will benefit from this experience. Lucky that no one was injured.
The Ravens's offensive and defensive starters were all over the Pinkskins starters. Harbaugh is relieved. The Pinkskins had their pride hurt and wanted to fight. This is who they really are. The Ravens starters were locked in. With the attitude that took hold, Coach Harbaugh got our starters in and out right on time. One of the 5 worst franchises (ownership) in the top 3 major sports. NFL, NBA, and MLB. The Washington Redskins.
The Redskins are a bad team and have done little to improve. The Ravens need to stop the Redskins offense and force them to settle for FG's and punt as much as possible. Do we have a P/K returner or do we need to get one...Also...We need to find out who the back-up QB is going to be. QB Bryn Renner needs to take advantage of any opportunity this week too. Schaub looks washed up. I like what I see from the rest of our team. The "best man wins" competition rules. I dislike the Redskins as much as the Steelers. With the Redskins it's all about their owner. With the Steelers it's all about their players / coaches. Let's roll.
It would be a shame to see Arthur get cut. There are many teams that would give something to have him with his Ravens' pedigree. We need a return specialist. We have never won a Super Bowl without one. Hopefully wishing for another Jacoby Jones or Jermaine Lewis by the start of the season. And Arthur gets on a team he can play for.
Right off the bat...The refs wouldn't let the Ravens D play football. Those early penalties on Suggs...and all he was doing was playing football. The benefit of the game was Ravens OC Trestman was able to get some of Kelly's ideas on film and will put them into our offense.
Davis Defensive Tackle could spell DDT. That sits nice with Sizzle and Doom. By mid season Carl Davis may become the starter at DT. Not due to injuries, but due to his ability. He appears to have settled right in to the NFL while keeping in mind that it was only the first game of preseason, Carl will get some tougher competition when we practice with and play the Eagles.
I hope he gets his Championship. It is not easy to achieve. Then he retires a Raven after earning it. I expect to see a lot of incidental contact between Steve and his defenders. No WR plays it any better.
DT Carl Davis. Let's not forget him. Future Bully...ha ha. SB 50 is a milestone extravaganza and I would be proud to be a part of it. Winning is the only option. The Ravens defense will decide who wins the AFC just like last year.
Ozzie re-signed Jimmy at the perfect time. I'm ready to watch Jimmy and Webby covering Perriman in practice. Breshad will be challenged to make the catch. I hope he has better hands than former WR Patrick Johnson. Speed is only part of it.
We don't want Pitta to return until he is 100% ready to go. If he returns too soon and reinjures himself, all the effort is lost.
We all want to keep Tucker in Baltimore. No doubt he could win a game with a kick from 65 yards away. Tucker should be paid top dollar. The Ravens can afford him and need him.
17 million for 4 yrs might seem like a lot but how much do you think Ozzie would have paid if he knew then what he knows now and could have had Tucker in the Playoff game against the Patriots instead of Cundiff.
I remember 2011 too Sami.....Cundiff got hurt and we picked up K Shayne Graham. We should have finished the season with Shayne Graham. Graham is a much more accurate kicker than Cundiff right to this day. But the Ravens believed Billy when he said he was ready to go. End of story.
We all want to keep Tucker in Baltimore. Tucker should be paid top dollar. The Ravens can afford him.
Joe always plays it one game at a time and moves on. It's one of his best traits. Who cares about chasing career statistics like Favre, Manning, and other QB's get all caught up in. Seasonal goals are much more realistic. I hope he does overachieve this year.
Did you see the CFL game last night between Montreal and Calgary? Marc Trestman was featured on the broadcast. He was heralded by the announcers for his CFL accomplishments. Marc was so impressive. He proudly mentioned his new assignment with the Baltimore Ravens. Best wishes.
What "owe" are you talking about?
SSJ3FinalFlash said the chargers game still haunts him
757RavensFan said we owe the Chiefs some Natty Boh
Go back and read it. It appears to me that you jumped into the post without knowing what had previously been said, Thanks for correcting my error.

If the TE's get in sync it will open up everything. It forces the opponents secondary to play honest. TE's were a major part of both of our Super Bowl seasons. We have had some great ones.
