  1. Joe always plays it one game at a time and moves on. It's one of his best traits. Who cares about chasing career statistics like Favre, Manning, and other QB's get all caught up in. Seasonal goals are much more realistic. I hope he does overachieve this year.
  2. Did you see the CFL game last night between Montreal and Calgary? Marc Trestman was featured on the broadcast. He was heralded by the announcers for his CFL accomplishments. Marc was so impressive. He proudly mentioned his new assignment with the Baltimore Ravens. Best wishes.
  3. SSJ3FinalFlash said the chargers game still haunts him 757RavensFan said we owe the Chiefs some Natty Boh Go back and read it. It appears to me that you jumped into the post without knowing what had previously been said, Thanks for correcting my error.
  4. The Chargers lost when they needed to win. Same for the Ravens. So we owe somebody? That's my point. Think the Chiefs would bend over or play dead for Rivers? Not the Chiefs or the Ravens. We don't own anybody. We profited yes, but owe no other team for our season..... nothing.
  5. This definitely has nothing to do with Ray Lewis. This is all about Suggs. This is about him giving leadership. And as a pass rusher, Suggs may only get 10 sacks, but his presence should open up the way for Doom to do his thing. and the other DE's and LB's to do theirs. Suggs deserves to be graded not by Ray Lewis' accomplishments, but by his own.
  6. We knew that before the game. It was win and we're in. I'm talking about what happened during the game. Like too many FG's instead of TD's. I like Natty Boh but... It's in your mind. We don't owe anybody. The Chiefs played their division rivals and beat them. We never mattered. I wouldn't want the Steelers ever thinking they owe us a lifetime supply of Iron City Beer for us beating the Bengals in the same situation. Yuk.
  7. Joe is a solid NFL QB. No team goes very far in post season without one. Show me a team that likes facing the Ravens?? and that goes double in the playoffs. Definitely top 10 when it comes to being a solid NFL QB.
  8. This is a spot for someone more expendable than Webb. I'd prefer Webb only goes in when we need to make a fair catch. One of the WR's down the chart can step up. I hope someone else steps up and shakes his shoulders like Jermaine Lewis or dances like Jacoby Jones. Ed Reed knew how to rattle and freeze the opposition when he was doing it. There are so many ways to do it. It's up to the special teams coaches to find who has the talent to do this.
  9. The bad part about it was Rivers standing on the sideline with that big smile on his face the entire game...what cockiness. He knew he had us if the time on the clock was there.
  10. Our veteran DB's have plenty of time to get back in shape. I'm not rushing anybody. The good thing is the talent is back. Webby and Jimmy should be ready for the final game of preseason. The other DB's will put on a show for the roster spots. ***The throwback jerseys should look just like game one at Memorial Stadium in Baltimore. Is there even a chance that our Ravens will ever wear the original helmets again? I'll never forget game one and the total excitement in the entire city. It was electric***
  11. When the Ravens drafted Arthur he was the best player on their board OR they would not have traded up to draft him. In reality, he would be a current star in the AFC west or NFC south had the Ravens not picked him. The Saints could have used Arthur. Other teams too. Let's count the millions of dollars he has lost by being drafted by the Ravens. There is a reason. Why?...The Ravens are fat at LB and Arthur is the last in line. That's how it goes in the NFL. If the Ravens LB's suffer the same fate as the DB's did last year, Arthur could get his due.
  12. I really like the addition of Matt Schaub. The potential of the 2015 Raven's defense to hold their opponent under 20 points per game. Joe will feast on it if it can stand. The Ravens have a veteran who can get the job done if needed. This isn't Tyrod or Troy. This QB has led his team into the playoffs. It must feel sweet to be here.
  13. If the super glue doesn't hold on Pitta's hip guess who's number gets called? Work TE Nick just as hard as TE Maxx. Find out all we can and use each player accordingly. It's all about Super Bowl 50.
  14. I'd like to see Kyle get his number called more often in certain situations. Vonta Leach made some critical first down catches in our SB 47 winning year. Super Bowl 50 will be even bigger. If nobody is covering Kyle, throw him the ball and let him put his head down for YAC. It has proven it's worth.
  15. I hope Smith Sr. can retire a champion like Matt Birk.
  16. I'm so glad we signed Daryl after Ray Lewis retired. Veteran leadership isn't easy to replace.
  17. But did we ever shine in Pittsburgh. Don't forget about that. Was that ever a great win to savor for years to come. Beating them at home in the playoffs.
  18. I hope Perriman and Williams have the fire to fight for the ball the way Smith Sr does. That's what it takes in today's close coverages. We know Perriman has the ability to stretch the field. Joe puts the ball on the money. This is better than anything Trestman had with the Bears. Watch how the O-line develops because Trestman isn't shy when it comes to throwing deep.
  19. Jernigan needed to focus on his footwork. It should improve his reactions as a run stopper. Brandon Williams reminds me of the great DT Sam Adams. ROHIMO. So the Ravens have options. This is one reason I really like the potential of this defense.
  20. The Ravens have yet to win a Super Bowl without a great return specialist. It is one of the toughest spots to fill on the field. The player has to like doing this in order to excel at doing it. This position takes courage and intelligence. I'm looking for UFA's to go after this in preseason. The coaches will be talking at these players for the one who wants to step up. Webb can be used when a fair catch is needed but no run-backs.
  21. And Happy Mother's Day. I think that was a one hit wonder last year with DB's. I mean I surely hope it was.
  22. I will love watching Brandon Williams battle Carl Davis for the NT spot. We have serious depth on defense. This D has so much potential. Possibly the best since 2000.
  23. I'm a fan of the CITY and all the things I grew up with there. I remember seeing the electric busses and trolleys from the back seat of a Hudson.

  24. Bring back the 2000 spirit
