  1. This looks interesting but visiting it and looking in the Ravens section doesn't appear to be much posting on day to day like here.
  2. I comment on various articles on RSR and BaltimoreBeatdown but I never actually looked around the site for a forum. Actually that's how I got started here I would comment on various articles years ago. Occasionally I would see people quoting statements including my own and I didn't have a clue how to respond back from my phone ( blackberry curve back then). Finally I got on my computer saw the little notification and boom the Forum boards opened up to me.
  3. Honestly, if the Mixon tape isn't released 3-4 months before the draft, then he gets drafted goes through his rookie season just like Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill with no issues. Or Michigan CB J.Lewis drafted by Dallas. Mixon incident happened in 2014, the kid was suspended by school from football, had community service and court mandated counseling and whatever else. The video comes out the violent and senseless act now has imagery to go with it and it becomes a fresh memory. Mixon hasn't had any other issues academically, personally or team related. Now if the NCAA had decided to strip away his scholarship ban him from football completely then I could understand the NFL taking a stand as well. But the guy faced whatever penalties were given to him, the NCAA was able to profit from him playing for Oklahoma the last 2 years, so why should he not have the opportunity to play in the NFL. He's taken his second chance thus far and remained out of trouble for the last 2.5 years. People want the NFL to condemn him to double jeopardy like they did Ray Rice because of this video being fresh to everyone's minds.
  4. Yeah he some off field concerns, suspensions for violating team rules and I think arguing with coaches, driving without a license and I think a possession charge as well. So yeah he's a knucklehead, that's why I said a tryout not sign him. A tryout is simply inviting him to camp for an attempt to be signed as Undrafted FA. TBH Texas A&M coaching staff just had a ton of issues I mean they recruited very well following Manziel on the offensive side of the ball, but they didn't develop any of those talented offensive players. QBs K.Hill,K.Allen, K.Murray, then WRs R.Seals-Jones, S.Noil, F.Iheanacho all of these guys were 4 of 5 star prospects that either transferred away or did zilch. C.Kirk had success as highly recruited offensive talent that's about it over the last 3 years. And I see a kid like Speedy Noil or Malachi Dupre guys that were once heralded highschool players but may not have lived up to the hype and I think maybe they could be the next Martavius Bryant (4 star WR that did nothing at Clemson while Watkins & Hopkins became studs ) or Stefon Diggs who had production but nothing eyepopping, drops in draft looks rock solid. Speedy could be Russell Shepherd all over again top Athlete that never developed any further. But a camp tryout isn't that much of investment.
  5. Well yesterday I heard Chris Carter talk about the Bengals Owner, very candidly. He said Owner Mike Brown had him talk to all the players and rookies a few times to tell them about his story as a player and how he overcame his off field struggles with drugs etc. Anyway he apologized to Chris for not drafting him since he knew Chris was from nearby in Ohio and struggled to make it there. Then when the Eagles cut Carter the owner said he felt like he should have signed him them to give him a second chance because he always felt he needed to use his team as avenue to give second chances and help those less fortunate, overlooked or with red flags. Carter said he's willing to draft and sign guys just so they can have a chance to correct past mistakes and even if it fails he's tried to help them.
  6. My first thoughts were " Wait The Steelers still have a forum and we're losing ours in days ". Guess I'll skim through this now.
  7. I'd like to see them bring Speedy Noil in for a tryout. I'm sure he could make it as the returner and gadget play guy. Insurance for Campanaro.
  8. I wasn't sure, so I looked it up on NFL reference he was 7th rounder pick number 192 in 1990.
  9. Is that Dean Pees? For your avatar pic ?
  10. lol I didn't say I knew clarks career result, but he clearly looks destined for special teams aka competing with A.Levine. Bowser is a very athletic guy, former basketball player, still learning the position. I wish I could say what he will become, but players aren't tought as much technique in college these days and it's up to the Pro teams to develop and harness each individual talents
  11. Antonio Brown 6th round pierre Garçon 6th round M.Hasselbeck 6th round Marcus Colston 7th round donald driver 6th round alfred Morris 6th round Point being doesn't have to be Tom Brady type of great to make an impact on a team but some really good players can come from the 6th and 7th round and even undrafted FA as we all know. So don't be so hard on people still hoping for playmakers in the late rounds.
  12. Ben is his predecessor. Ben's predecessor was T.Maddox You're hoping Dobbs will be Big Ben's successor.
  13. The Ross pick is still odd dalton doesn't have the arm to use a guy with that speed. If they still had Hue Jackson then I'd think they get creative with him. Carolina has me curious what type of changes will occur within their offense with McCaffrey and Samuels both in the mix now.
  14. I'm pulling for Malachi Dupre if he makes it to us.
