  1. To make the playoffs, the Ravens would literally have to win their last 8 straight games. And the way this team has played so far this season, only barely pulling off two wins, I just don't see that happening. So I'm sorry Harbs, but your prediction is a bit silly. If I'm wrong, and you magically make the playoffs? Then great. I'm just saying, I don't see it happening.
  2. He should be on IR. He's not going to play this season. Just because he's a first round pick, doesn't mean anything. We have literally wasted a roster spot all season thus far, just because they vaguely think "there's a shot he might play". So what? Let him rest until next season, then see if he's actually worth anything, or can even stay healthy at all.
  3. Says the guy who calls the softest D in the NFL. I am not Jimmy fanboy, I think he is a very inconsistent. But wasn't he playing really well last year, because they actually let him play press coverage a lot?
  4. A bad team deserves to be booed by it's fans. Not because they "aren't real fans" or "don't support the team", but because if a team is going to be as limp and listless and play with as little urgency or discipline as the 2015 Ravens have, then they absolutely deserve to be booed out of their own stadium. If they want strong cheers and fan support, start playing like you make millions, and actually want to win games.
  5. A bad team loses games. We're a bad team. So we lose games. Who cares if his knee was down or not. Do you really think that a couple of instances of bad luck every game have been what has doomed us? We're not good enough to win. Period. So we lose games. Our QB is wildly erratic and often mediocre, and he does not elevate the talent around him. Our Coach is a guy who lets his (talentless) coordinators do most of the work, while he wastes time outs and stands on the sidelines looking bewildered. Our "great" GM continues to bring in sub-par talent through the draft and FA, even though he's a "genius". What did you think all of that was going to add up to? This team was lucky to make the playoffs last year, due mainly in part to our pass rush and run game. If not for those things, you see how awful our D is, and how bad Flacco actually looks when the game is in his hands, and he can't rely on the run. So there you go. A bad team loses games. And we are now, without question, a bad team.
  6. It was a bad throw. End of story. We've seen Flacco do it every game since the Patriots game last post-season, and we've seen him do it his entire career beyond that. It's just that he's gotten worse since 2013.
  7. Good teams overcome bad red calls. Good teams play so well, that they can win regardless. We are a not a good team. Our entire team basically sucks, outside of Tucker, from Flacco on down. If it didn't, we wouldn't be 1-6. And in all honesty, we should by all rights be 0-7. This is not "playing like a Raven", and Harbaugh claims it is, then he needs to go.
  8. We need to draft a QB to compete with Flacco. I'm not saying replacing him outright next year, but perhaps something to light a fire under him, and if no fire is lit, then trade him. His play has been god awful this year, and was god awful in 2013 as well. His play last year was due mainly to the success of the run game. Without it in '13 and '15, he has been exposed, badly. He is in no way worth the megabucks we "had" to pay to keep him after 2012. Not even remotely close. And I don't mean draft a QB in the first round, that would be a waste. We need to draft a top shelf CB.
  9. Well at least we'll have good music to accompany our getting stomped on national TV, right?
  10. Even if he can make a comeback, and somehow manages to stay healthy, at his point it isn't going to make much of a difference in 2015. Our season is already pretty much done, unless people somehow expect us to magically start doing amazing, and win at least 9 games in the remainder of the season. Color me skeptical, but the way this team has played, I don't see it happening.
  11. I didn't miss anything. The team is hot garbage. That's that.
  12. @Ravenshine no offense, but I'm not really sure where you come off. Yes, you're entitled to your opinion, but telling those of us fans who are disgusted with what we see on the field this year, that WE suck? We pay our money, and spend our time watching the same team you do. That means we have a right to call garbage what it is: garbage. And quite frankly, what are you talking about "Rankings"? Power Rankings? Because we're rightly ranked near dead last. Our D is ranked 25th. I'm really not sure what ranking you're talking about. Because the only "ranking" that matters, is that we are dead last in the AFC North, and while we're technically tied with JAX and KC as the worst team in the AFC, NFL.com lists as as dead last. No matter how you spin it, this team sucks this year. Worse than any Ravens squad I've watched, because they play with no heart. They don't play like they want to win, which is precisely why they haven't won all these "close" games. A GOOD Ravens team could have or arguably would have won all of those games, yes. But good is not what the 2015 Ravens are, and it's time for people to just accept that.
  13. The team will keep "battling" because that's what they get paid to do, and they're obligated by the league to play out their remaining schedule. But this team has not fight or fire in it. If it did, we'd have won at least a couple of these "close losses". And that lack of fire starts at the top, with the coach and the QB.
  14. You want to see a team with no fire and no passion? Then see a team completely devoid of all past Ravens greats (see: Suggs, Ngata, Ray, Ed, etc.), and see a team led by Coach Harbaugh and his coaching buddies, and the vanilla QB of his dreams. That final drive is a perfect example of a team led by the walking dead.
  15. Flacco is a bum, Harbs continues to prove that the ONE thing he actually controls during games, time management, he's absolutely terrible at. And Yeah, Boldin and Torrey did get the last laugh....they showed us that we actually had a good WR tandem when they were around, and proved that it was actually players like them, that made Joe look even halfway decent. Now that they're both gone? Steve Smith Sr. ain't enough to hide just how exposed Joe is without his old security blankets. An "elite" QB would succeed with and find a way to elevate the offensive talent we've got right now. Joe cannot. That is the defining difference, and why he has never been "elite". He had one great run in the 2012 playoffs. And that's pretty much it.
  16. People's lame excuses for Joe and for Coach Harbaugh need to stop now. It's beyond old. They deserve whatever they get.
  17. Really Joe? Cuz....not sure if you've noticed, but you've been making them since your rookie year, on a regular basis. And most especially since 2013.
  18. The excuses for this head coach and this QB officially stop here. This franchise needs to do some massive re-evaluating this coming offseason, because right now, this is literally the most pathetic Ravens team I've ever watched. Yes, even compared to those 90s teams.
  19. Well yeah.....because sports are ultimately meaningless, and people are people. Good on them.
  20. Poor guy just can't catch a break. Second season in a row the Ravens slap him on IR when his injury was in no way season ending. I have high hopes for Taliaferro, but I'm not sure he's ever going to fully get the chance in Baltimore, which under Harbaugh is hardly surprising.
  21. I'd call 11 TDs pretty productive, the most any Ravens WR since the 90s had. We miss Boldin and Torrey both. They were a good WR tandem, and this front office messed up in not keeping them. Any money we "saved" on them, was not exactly spent on any other player of real value since anyway. Sr. may be a good player, but I'd rather still have Boldin, who was a monster possession guy. He wasn't perfect, and wasn't fast, but he had great hands and a lot of power for a WR. And Torrey, who also wasn't perfect, WAS a great WR for us. As a duo, they helped us win a SB.
  22. They need to give Jackson another shot KR, because we literally have no one else.
  23. The truth is, any defensive success we've had with Pees, which hasn't been much, was due to great players we had, not him. His schemes are soft, he has CBs playing 5 miles off of WRs, they can't stop TEs to save their life, etc. His secondary units are traditionally terrible no matter who is playing. Our D used to be a strength. Grandpa Greg Mattison was pretty bad, arguably the worst DC we've ever had.....that is until we got Pees. Pees is without a doubt the worst DC in Ravens history. He is not the ONLY problem with the team, Tressman was always a bad hire and a bad fit for the Ravens from day one, and the "Great" Ozzie has made a lot of misfire draftings and signings the last few years. And good ol' Coach Speak Harbaugh, is still the same as ever. And Joe is still Joe, not "elite", just Joe. But Pees is a major problem, and our D playing the way it does, is sad. It has no more leaders, with Suggs out, and for all we know never playing again, and Ngata gone, all of the veteran legends of our once great D are gone. And it shows. I said we should have paid Ngata, and we should have. But that still wouldn't fix the Pees problem.
  24. Coach speak.
  25. Man.........I feel bad for Asa Jackson. His play at CB was usually solid. Not always, but usually. He's no shut down corner, but he showed flashes of good coverage and was a solid tackler. And in spite of those fumbles, he would gives us a dangerous kick returner. Harbaugh and his same old doghouse issues get really old.
