  1. You need to review WHEN those false starts were since most of them were in his first two years. He has much improved. ALL of his false starts last year came in the same game, so that was possibly an officiating issue. He's a quality, durable tackle who does whatever is asked of him. We could do a lot worse.

Well aware, the article about Smith having more false starts came up when I searched for Oher's totals. We'll see what happens with him, personally I don't care if he leaves, but if Baltimore gets him for the right price I won't complain until he starts having flags thrown on him again. The officiating in the game where he had three false starts was bad, but I know for sure off the top of my head one of them was a false start. After signing Monroe I am expecting Baltimore to take a RT at some point, along with a C unless they somehow sign Mack.

MAYBE he shook the problem, maybe. We'll have to wait and see. But Yknow what? He doesn't drive forward on running plays, everyone on our line acted like there were blocking for a pass and let the other team run at them instead of meeting them, nobody stood their ground except Yanda, and he didn't every game. Oher was bad about that last year, watch some videos.

  2. Agreed and don't forget the offensive line. Most blitzed quarterback never had time to throw it deep where Torrey Smith and Jacoby Jones thrive. If the Ravens line becomes solid, mark my words, I think Torrey Smith will become a top 5 in receiving yards.

The passing game was a huge problem last year, not just the line. I think harbs even said it in an interview, a lot of things went wrong on the offensive side of the ball, and it wasn't just the line. Though they did play a big part. BUT Flacco missed just about every deep throw he made. I like Flacco, he was/is a great QB, but he didn't play too well lastyear. Hopefully this year he does better.

  3. I don't think Oher has had any offers yet, so anything is possible.  The best thing about having him back is that he already knows the playbook and can adjust to any new blocking scheme.  No, he hasn't been all that bad, but he was a disappointment considering that we wanted him to be the amazing first round pick that we thought he was and that's all part of our mindset when we say that we'd rather have someone better in there.

The round he was taken in isn't really the issue. It's the 24 total career false starts, typically, in moments were pressure is on, moments that could have cost the team a win. He did better last year. But he isn't THAT good of a RT.  You don't want anyone on the team that is a liability, and he is.

  4. this is big for our special teams but not our offense..

Let's not forget JJ played a huge part in winning that game against the Vikings last year. Can't say he won the game, but... Came just about as close as a single player can come to winning a game by himself. So to even imply that signing him isn't great for the team is pretty stupid. He is good out of the slot, and was able to get open not last year but the year before. That is of course before all of the bogus play calling.
