  1. As far as longevity goes, Barry Sanders got in with only nine seasons.

    Barry played 10 seasons

If Jamal had the same longevity and was as durable as Bettis a case could've been made for him to go in the HOF. He almost has a thousand carries on Jamal.

The thing with Jamal was that the got too big in his later years with the Ravens. I don't know if it was his choice or that the coaches wanted him to put on more weight. When he ran for 2066 yards in 2003 he was listed at 235lbs and in his later years he played at 250.

His first year with the Browns he got back to 239lbs and he ran for 1300 yards.

Something I always remembered because Ray also weighed 235lbs when he won DPOY in 2003 and put on more pounds later, up to 250, before he shed all that weight in his final season.

  2. I'll key you in on season 2 of True Detective.  It would be wise to pay attention to everyone's name.  One of the biggest faults of this season is that they started name dropping people from very early in the season in the last 2 episodes.  I had to pause the show at times to google who exactly it was that they were talking about.

    Thanks, I'll do that :)

  3. I disagree. He was awesome in his rookie season. Sorry but i'm rather harsh on players but Oher in 2009 was awesome. He was 2nd in OROT and was a top 8 tackle by PFF. He hasn't touched those heights since.

Did you just say "Sorry"? Is it the end of the world?   :P jk

Oher was pretty good in his first season. Too bad everything went downhill from there.

IMO the worst ravens I remember was Boller. It mostly has to do with the impact he could have made had he been an average QB, instead of a bad one.

  4. Has any one watched Mr. Robot? Looks pretty good so far.

I'm starting tonight. I heard some good things about it

Yeah, I've been watching it so far. It's not enough for me to stop cancelling the NZ version of HBO, but it's a good show. I'll probably find, [awkward pause] "another" way to watch.

Haha, I know what you mean by "another" way. Here in The Netherlands a lot of great shows don't air, so I also have to use that "other" way to watch them

I've been watching.  It's not my favorite show ever of course, but the story is interesting enough for me to continue watching, especially since it's only a half hour show.

Reporters are saying the story is pretty accurate overall, although a bit hyperbolized, which you'd expect for TV.

I didnt realize the matrix was a bad thing.  I honestly consider it one of, if not the best trilogies of all time.  i love it.  the philosophy is genius and the fight scenes are almost unmatched.

only watched the first episode, like it.  but to me, its just a newer version of Entourage with sports

The first episode was a bit so-so, but it's going in the right direction. Last episode was pretty good, but only 25 min. long.

Finally, we got some action in True Detective. I never expected it to reach the levels of what Matt and Woody gave us in season 1, but man, this season has been brutal so far. The final scene in this episode still had its "what..." moments, but at least it's a step in the right direction.

Kitsch's character in particular has been pretty bad. I get that he's supposed to be a depressed type of character, but the levels of depression have been way over the top.

I'm waiting for the entire season to air before I'll watch it. If the 2nd season is as good as the 1st, it's going to be frustrating to wait a whole week for the next episode. How is it compaired to the 1st?

  5. I watched these movies in the last 3 weeks:

San Andreas - I'm not really a big fan of disaster movies, so I went to the theater with low expectations. I liked it, but it was nothing special. Just another summer blockbuster

Mad Max Road Fury - The best out of this bunch. You really should see this movie if you haven't already

Jurassic World - I would rank this one right up there with the first one. Revived the franchise after those bad sequels

Inside Out - Everything you'd expect from a Pixar movie. Loved it. I might go back to see it again

Ted 2 - About the same as the first one, maybe a bit more lol moments

Terminator Genisys - I liked it even though there are a lot of bad reviews. I would place it as my 3rd favorite Terminator in the franchise. It's definitely better then the 3rd and 4rd one

  6. Crockett Gilmore

I know a lot of us are hoping that Maxx is going to be the go to tight end right away, but tight ends seem to struggle in their first year and Pitta is probably not going to start, so I'm guessing Crockett is going to be the guy. Plus a lot of people talk about he's just a blocking tight end, but his recieving abilities are underrated imo

  7. Just finished watching Rush. Pretty entertaining movie, especially if you are into Fomula 1

Days of Future Past hitting HBO at 8 which I can't wait to see again

The scene when Quicksilver is running up the wall, AWESOME! My favorite part from the movie

  8. Yea that romance he had with the bottle was very touching.

Speaking of LLV, I've had a crush on Elisbeth Shue since The Adventures of Babysitting. The pinnacle of which was her in The Saint. She still looks good @ 50.

Have you seen her in Palmetto? Definitely not the character she usually plays

  9. Okay so I want to do a small rant really quick. My friends and I are obsessed with Nicolas Cage and his weird and sometimes terrible acting. Our youtube channel is based off him! Anyway Ive always known Nicolas Cage from National Treasure(in his top 10 for sure) or Ghost Rider. He has famous goofy quotes from movies like The Wicker Man or Vampires Kisses. I always thought he sucked or was just terrible in all forms of acting. That he was too goofy. Well Im changing my stance. I just watched Adaptation. And I was really impressed. He plays 2 characters very well and I got connected to them. I also saw Frozen Ground a couple months ago and was surprised by that. In the right type of movie he is perfect. I wanna say alternative movies. Like different types from big Hollywood stuff. I feel his goofy movie roles and some bad spots in his career really cover up some great stuff he has done. His is an internet sensation thanks to his goofy stuff though which I learned to enjoy.

    Thoughts?

First movies I saw of him were Con Air and The Rock and I thought he was pretty good in those two. Little silly, but not too bad.
