  7. Nicky asked me to take a melatonin last night. I reluctantly agreed. He might as well have "slipped me a mickey". After a while, I could not keep my eyes open. In the end, he got what's wanted because I could not stay awake to finish supervising the room cleaning. Melatonin is powerful stuff, but I hate taking pills just to sleep.

  19. This afternoon, I replaced the fan on my Kirby vacuum cleaner. A marvel of engineering. The Kirby is built in the USA and perfectly designed to it's purpose. This is the first repair I've made in the nearly 15 years we've had it. It works as well now as it did when it was new. I still needs more love but I could not be happier with a lowly vacuum cleaner.
