It's this simple, Elliott was Dallas's guy, they had their heart set on him. If they traded with us somebody could've jumped them by trading with the Jags and they didn't want to risk losing him. I'm sure we offered a TON to try to get them to pull the trigger, at the end of the day Zeke meant too much to them to risk it and that's that.

This is what I have to come to grips with.

This trade has bothered me on so many levels since I first heard about it. I feel if it happened, BOTH teams would've got what they wanted. But I guess there was a small chance the Cowboys could've lost out on Zeke during that next pick. And if you truly love Zeke why play with fire when he's starring at you right in the face.

Now the cowboys are saying that we wanted Zeke at 4 and that's why he didn't do it....stop. I don't believe that for second.

However I must say..I've never had an issue with the Cowboys really...but this is the 2nd time that their moves have screwed us over...first Dez now with Ramsey. I'm starting to have some disdain for the organization.

24hrs ago it was 'Probably 1 QB goes before us, maybe 2' now it is 'Assuredly 1 QB goes before us, probably 2'

Not a seismic shift but it means another top tier player falls another slot closer to us.

    Exactly.

However I still think there's a small chance Cleveland doesn't draft a QB or trades out leaving the Ravens in the same position they always were ..which is being stuck with the fifth best out of the top 5.

having the choice is definitely better than getting stuck with one. especially with our FO. They dont get top picks wrong.

only reason I say its better to get stuck with the one player is that we won't have to deal with the constant comparisons of the player we picked and the one we didn't.

This Front Office had a rough year last year and took some criticism. I don't wanna deal with a year of " omg!! Why didn't we take Bosa?!" "See I told everyone let's take DeForest"

  4. This trade changes alot for us...

Especially since Adam schefter just tweet that his sources are saying its Goff and not Wentz going 1. Because that means CLE is still good at #2 with a QB. Which means instead of us getting whatever was left of the top 5 none QB prospects..now Ozzie may have to pick between 2 of them...potentially Bosa or Buckner.

I personally liked it better when we were "stuck"  with a pick and not having to decide between two prospects.

Adam did say this morning before the trade happened did say he felt the browns weren't taking a QB earlier anyway so its still possible that things stay to form and play out like we've been assuming for the last couple months.

  5. The Good: We are 4-7 and still in the playoff race. Brent Urban and Will Hill both deserve game balls for tonight's win. Urban for blocking the FG allowing Hill to take it back and run it all the way for the TD.

The Bad: Dean Pees must go, again why is he still here in week 12? He almost cost us the game to a third string QB who couldn't even pass Mr. Party Boy himself Johnny Football on the depth chart. He only passed him because Manziel is a idiot who doesn't know when to grow up.

    The Ugly: Matt Schaub.

    Playoffs?!

    Playoffs?!

    Play.....offs.....?!
