They needed room for Waller.
Dixon and Waller coming back will help.
We get Dixon and Waller back next week. Put the loss behind you and move on.
Even with Doom in, sacks maybe had to get with that o-line and Carr getting rid of the ball quickly. Our d-line need to get those hands up and the secondary needs to get those picks.
Still predicting one of our speedsters to pull in a long bomb from flacco
They are starting their 3rd string RT against Doom. And their center is hurt. Their O-line isn't healthy, our pass rush is.
I'll take Weddle and Wallace. Every time. Weddle alone has made a big difference in the defense. And Flacco has a veteran receiver to throw deep to. KO. is a beast. No doubt. But the ravens got the better deal in the end.
It sounds like Stanley is game time decision.. they really need him w/ Mack coming in this week. He takes pride in not ever missing a start, fighting through.. despite missing practice..heres to having him on Sunday grinding out 2 weeks in a row even w/ a bum foot.
And it sounds like Lewis will play, participated limited practice today, and sounds like he cleared protocal..so thats good.
Need these guys to keep Mack locked down
Otherwise will have to keep a TE Gillmore all day to help Hurst who cant block
Then that's what they will do. What makes you think an injured Stanley would be any better? He'd need help too with a foot injury.
rest Dixon. Put this game in Joe's hands. This week unleash the speed. You have three burners in Perriman, Wallace and Moore. Use them for some deep shots. Just throw it a little further for Perriman. He's faster ;).
Great! 21 straight completions!!! For less than 200 yards, two interceptions and zero touchdowns. Below Average Joe tried his darnedest to throw this game away yesterday as usual, but the D and Tucker bailed him out again. Typical 77% rating. No difference from the last three years.
Fantasy football has warped your brain. Winning the game is the most important stat. I'll take the win thank you. Your FF league can kiss his ring.
Tucker is money. He's that Matt Stover feeling ravens fans craved since Matt retired. Seriously. When he comes on the field is there ever any doubt? Not for this fan. Game on the line...Tucker trots on the field. Just admit it. You just KNOW it's a win. Ozzy was smart to sign him instead of letting him be franchised. There isn't a team in the NFL that wouldn't love to have him.
what is ugly and pretty win? don't we all want a win? I don't care how it looks but how it ends; we ended with 1-0. I don't worry too much about the miscues cuz they will go back to work fixing it.....Just think about if we win "ugly" closed game last year, we would be in the playoff with bunch of starters on the IR. As a fan, I'm ecstatic that we win...sheeesh....
Don't get your panties in a bunch. That wasn't an insult. Its an actual quote by Trent Dilfer in the 2000 season.
Winning ugly. It's what the ravens do ;).
You doubt the wizard and he shows you why he is the wizard. Ozzy knows what he's doing. has proved it for years. Yet you still doubt the man?
Dixon is our first string RB in the future. We got a good one with this kid. Lets not rush him back. We do have depth at the postion (and don't forget Jusyzck). Kudos to Mallet as well. He really has performed well when he is in.
Mallet has been solid. The Ravens have two starting QB's. If Joe goes down again it won't be a season ending event.
Dixon is impressive. A future star. Watson is not a big loss. It makes room for Waller which to me is a sigh of relief. That guy can ball. IMO Waller can do more for the team than Watson can. Waller is a nightmare match up that Watson can never be. He (Watson) was Pitta insurance, nothing more.Joe looked good for his first game back. Loved the first throw to Wallace even though they didn't connect. It showed us Joe is comfortable with his new target. Aiken was solid and Butler is safe to say made the 53 man roster tonight. Loving the offense right now. Perriman is next game, But without Flacco throwing the ball it's all window dressing, unless he gets hurt.
Just so long as Flacco finishes healthy and gets the reps he wants this week and only plays a series in the last pre-season game if any at all. I would prefere him not to play in the final pre-season game but thats just me.
Starters almost never play in the last preseason game.
Same story different year. I hope he proves me wrong but at this point I can't believe he will play. As the old saying goes. Seeing is believing.
At this point I'll believe he will play when he takes the field during a game. Until then he's out for the year as far as I'm concerned.
On a side note. JJ was solid. He made a serious case to be the #2 QB behind Flacco.
Moore impressed me. Butler showed great hands. Judon showed once again why he makes the 53 man roster. However this pre-season has yet to answer the biggest question. Return guy. Nobody stood out. The ravens have only only one real question mark. Who's going to be the return man. Week 3 is the next chapter in that story. Other than that this is a solid team.
As long as all they do is make a fair catch I have no problem with it. Both are to important to be returning kicks and/or punts.
SSS, Mike Wallace and Kamar Aiken are a really good WR corps imo. Very good.
I second that.
When have they ever? I'll believe he'll play when he steps on the field. Until then as far as I'm concerned he's out for the year.
Putting the ball in Joe's hands is what won them a SB. The RB's look good but never forget who the real play maker is on that team.
Really? No doctor, but bone breaks heal way way quicker than tendon or ligament tears, I am surprised they're counting him out for the whole year.
You honestly think somebody can break their ankle and be back playing within a few months?
Yes. Three months is all it takes to fully heal unless you have other issues. But I'm in favor of sitting him out the entire year. He's not a need and this protects him from being claimed if he wound up on the practice squad.

Dixon should have a field day against the Washington run D. Looking forward to seeing this guy play. He's good out of the backfield too. Give him the ball in space and turn him loose.
