8:45 AM EDTMarching Ravens AuditionsCome join us and become part of the best marching band in the NFL!
It's looking more and more like Gilmore with be the starting TE. And that's not a bad thing. He's shown he can get it done in both aspects of the position. Looking forward to seeing the future of the ravens TE position working together for the first time. Joe has to be excited with this much talent to work with.
Gilmore is going to shock the world. At 6'6" and the catches he makes he's going to surprise every NFL writer and fan out there. Big strong guy that can black and catch. He's a nightmare for LB's to handle. And it's only his second year! He'll be a big part of this offense giving Williams time to learn as his backup. By years end they will be the #1 and 2 guys and Pitta can retire with his heath intact. The ravens struck gold in the TE department over the last two years. They are set at TE for the next 3 or 4 years having both locked up under rookie contracts. Ozzie is the man!!
I can't wait to see Waller in preseason. 6'6" with Tory Smith speed. He may be the steal of the draft. Ozzie said he was a sleeper pick. It's looking good so far for him.
Having Flacco as your QB helps too. Joe can make all the throws. Short or deep. Sideline or middle of the field. That's a big plus for a WR. It expands his range to get open.
No to Welker. NO NO NO!!!. We have plenty of young talented receivers. Let them play and get better. Tired as hell of the old washed up WR's they bring in. SSS was the exception that worked out.
The ravens have their future TE group. Use Pitta sparingly and let him retire next year. Give the young guys the reps to improve. Don't risk his health when we have this much talent at TE. Huge Pitta fan. Would love to see him literally walk away from football healthy and enjoy his life with his family. You earned your SB ring already and may get a second this year. No need to risk it.
SSS play's like a Raven an will be a big part of showing the new guys how to play by that mentality. I think this is Joe's best core of receivers to date. 4k yards and 30 TD's are well within his reach with this group.
If Waller can make the rotation this is a very dangerous offense. 6'6 and .02 seconds slower than Tory was coming out of the combine. The ravens have insane speed at WR now and two big targets to catch those 70 yards in the air passes for instant scores. Can't wait for Mxx to show what he can do too. No wonder King put them at #1. This team doesn't have any weaknesses. Even the secondary is deeper in talent than last year. If anyone remembers a raven itself predicted this. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/The-Caw-Raven-Videobombs-Site-Of-Super-Bowl-50/91cf55b6-53d1-4640-b754-3d86cb1ad053
These new targets for Joe has me excited for the season to start. I hope Waller can get on the field. Perriman, Brown and Waller with Maxx at TE. That's some big targets for Flacco when in the red zone.
Williams and Gilmore are the future of the ravens TE's. That's a damn good pair of weapons at Joe's disposal. Perriman is a deep threat and will fight for the ball a lot better than Tory did. His drops is that area are a lot less often than short and over the middle passes. Ozzie loaded the offense this year. The defense even with all those injuries stayed in the top 10 and were 6th in points allowed. I seriously doubt they get leveled with injuries like that again. It will be better this year than last. The Ravens are going to surprise everyone.
Ravens flying in under the radar. This could be the best team in the AFC right now and nobody sees it. They think our rookies can't step up. Joe has more talented weapons on offense than he has ever had. The defense was ranked 6th in points allowed last season with 5 CB's on IR. If the secondary can stay healthy they are top 5 easy. Add in legatron and there are no weaknesses. This is a dangerous team.
Flacco is going to have another career year. Maybe even get his second ring. Defense looks good and he has better weapons to work with. Still won't break the top 10 QB's list on NFL.com. lol.
The D is a monster right now. Top 5 easy. The biggest question is Perriman and Williams. If these two pan out and become instant producers on the offense this is a very dangerous team. Nobody will see them coming because nobody considers the ravens a threat as it is. this is looking like a very exciting season.
Upshaw is a very underrated player. Just like JJ was. But like JJ was he's a key cog in the machine. Upshaw is a key factor in why the ravens are so hard to run the ball against. Not a flashy stat but an important one.
Perriman didn't have a hands problem. He had a lack of great QB problem. The ravens are a dangerous team and nobody is giving them the credit they should.
Great signing. A weakness becomes a strength. This helps in so many ways. Like not using Elam as a slot corner lol. But seriously. Great signing and a big "I told you so" to the people that doubted Ozzie.
Flacco has some serious targets this year. Keep the playoff mentality. Play to win, not to not lose and this offense will be brutal. Add in another top 10 defense and Joe gets his second ring.
