  1. So far. You can bet Ozzie will find tmore ILB's once the cuts start. Maybe even one good enough to win a starting job. September is a long ways off.
  2. That's what my first thought was. A return guy. Drafted as a WR but this kid has the vision and speed to break on for a TD. Solid pick IMO.
  3. Ozzie with another small school gem. I know everyone looks good on the highlights but this guy dominated on a regular basis. The NFL is a big step up but a 5th rounder isn't expected to make a big plash from day one. He'll get his reps and a chance to prove he can cut it.
  4. Have you seen this guy play? He was a projected 3rd round pick that we got in the 5th. He's a scoring machine with 87 td's. I can see him making the team easy. Someone will be out of a job. I loved this pick. Wanted him in the 4th and was screaming at every pick that wasn't him. I thought for sure he'd be gone before we picked in the 5th round. My bad. Last pick in the 4th. Jumped the gun a little lol.

  6. I like the picks so far. All 3 fill a major need. LT from day one and two good pass rushers that play like ravens. Relentless. Does anyone really think that anyone they drafted this year would take Suggs or Doom's job? Not every player is drafted to be a starter. It's called building the team. That's what Ozzie did today. And did a great job doing it.
  7. What pass rusher in this draft do you think would beat out Suggs or Doom? Even Bosa would of been a backup this year. This year we need depth. Ozzie drafted to quality players to do exactly what we need them to do. Spend a year learning from two of the best and be ready to step in just in case.Something we didn't have last year. And that cost us.
  8. Where do we need talent? Our problem last year was our backups sucked. No depth for the injuries. When Suggs went down we had nobody to fill that. Now we have two. And you Fuss about fixing a glaring need because he didn't draft "your guy"that more than likely wouldn't of been a starter anyway. Miles Jack is the exception. But I can see why Ozzie wouldn't invest 2nd on a guy that more than likely wouldn't even finish his rookie contract. Might not even last a year. In the last three years injuries has killed this team. Even in the playoffs two years ago we had guys on the roster that wasn't even in the NFL when the season started. And damn near beat the pats with those guys. We need depth that can become starters. Not some guy from home depot suiting up.
  9. I really don't think that Ozzie cares which players you like. Of course he doesn't but this strategy doesn't make since. Because you are thinking every pick should be a day one starter. Do you really think any pass rusher they picked would unseat Suggs or Doom? Not going to happen in 2016 unless one or both gets hurt. Even Bosa would of been a backup this year.
  10. They don't need a starter. Suggs and Doom wasn't going to lose their job no matter who they picked. I doubt even Bosa would of done that. This was a brilliant move by Ozzie. These two will learn under two of the best for a year and THEN be starters. I seriously dount anyone they drafted on defense would be a day one starter. Our D is set and is a hell of a lot better than last years. Ozzie is drafting for the future. Like the good teams do.
  11. Ozzie didn't draft those two guys for the 2016 season. Doom and Suggs will be the guys this year. These two were drafted to learn the system and be ready for the 2017 season. We have quality starters just about everywhere. Our problem last year was we lost to damn many and no team could overcome that. I don't care who they are. QB, 2 RB's, 4 receivers and two linemen. And that's just on offense. The ravens need young depth for this year. Guys they can groom to be starters a year or two from now. Stanley was the best choice the more I think about it. He was a serious need. More so than a young backup that wouldn't unseat the starter this year anyway. The exception would of been jack but I can see why Ozzie shied away from him considering the amount of injuries over the last three seasons. All 3 picks have ZERO injury issues. The ravens were a SB team coming into last season. It was lack of depth that killed that.
  12. Spence would be a great 2nd RD pick. If he's gone and Jack is still there they should take a shot. So what if he won't last his rookie contract. It'll buy a couple more years to get a long term prospect.
  13. I was shocked it was Stanley until I heard about that tweet. The ravens needed an LT. Not a sexy pick but still a good one. With Bosa Elliot and Ramsey gone I figured it would be Tunsil. In fact that's who I expected. I think Ozzie dodged a bullet on that one and made the best choice. Tunsil looks to me that he'll be nothing but a headache for the dolphins. Not something we need. We need a guy that we can count on to protect Flacco. Stanley is that guy. Lots of picks left to focus on the defense.
  14. Im hoping a mix between Trent and Buck will have our run game being one of the top rushing duos in the league. I really think Trent will look like a great RB for us, especially if we end up drafting Tunsil @6. If he stays in shape and focused. Something he hasn't done yet. Elliot is a sure thing. I just can't see Ozzie passing him up if he's there, even for Bosa or Buckner. He's the missing piece on offense. Something no other RB in this draft can fill.
  15. I think Ozzie stays pat at #6 and takes Elliot. He's the game changer the ravens have been missing since Rice was released.
  16. You know, I have debated this in my mind. I know if we don't select him, we will regret it in 5 yrs when he's a Pro bowl regular. He is clearly a game changer and would carry us to many wins. However, our defense is to depleted, and unfortunately, we need to add there. With 7 picks in the first 4 rounds there is plenty of talent left to fill that need. Rice was a game changer, Elliot will be one too. As much as we need more depth on defense (all the starters are healthy right now) a talent like Elliot doesn't fall our way often. I just don't see Ozzie passing on him if he's there.
  17. Ezekiel Elliott is my prediction. That's a weapon Ozzie won't pass up.
  18. Waller has Tory Smith speed. Matched up against a LB will be a nightmare for opposing defenses.
  19. There is a reason the Ravens don't get any more Monday night home games. How can any ravens fan forget the famous "bovine skat" chant?
  20. This is a no risk move with a possible huge benefit for the team. Being from Bama had to play a role in this move but if any GM can convince Richardson to step up and return to form he can. He was a beast in college. If he can get that back the running game just improved a LOT.
  21. If I could get paid millions to sit on the bench I wouldn't walk away either. He'll milk this another year and then retire.
  22. R.I.P. Tray. I was a fan from the time they announced your name. You were the future of the ravens secondary. It was a sad day when the team and the fans lost you.
  23. If they both stay healthy they will do that easy. You can't double them both.
  24. I had high hopes that he'd be a breakout player this year or next. Didn't expect much his rookie year coming from a small school. But the potential is there. Praying for you you Tray. Get back on your feet and become the star you can be.
  25. Webb will be a better safety than CB. People forget how good he was before the injuries. Webb will be and INT threat. He's a punt returner with great hands. Reliable hands is something that's been lacking in the backfield since Reed left.
