  1. Nothing on the tube last night, so I went to the "on demand" section of my fios tv and took a walk down memory lane........HEAT. Saw this when it first came out, forgot how good it was (IMO). Pacino, DeNiro, Kilmer, Sizemore...great cast. As an avid fire arms shooter/collector, the street shootout scene after the bank robery was, IMO, the best ever done in a movie. They didn't overdo it with goofy explosions, etc. The sound effects of the gun fire was spot on for the weapons used, even adding the echo from the surrounding buildings. 2 thumbs up.
  2. Right now I'm listening to my wife nag me about cutting the grass. Damn grass cutting kid down the street's on vacation......how dare he! LOL
  3. Yea, I've watched an episode of that one. I saw the one lasts eason (/) where he had to go ask his sister for more money. As they're showing him in her living room asking for $40k, I'm thinking "yea, like she didn't know what was coming when her brother and a film crew showed up". Still too "staged" for me.
  4. Burn Notice, NCIS and Bones. Thats it. Everything else I watch on TV is either a movie, news or football related. An occasional wildlife show if it pertains to fishing, diving, etc. All those reality shows (yes, I've tried watching atleast 1 episode of each) are incredibly stupid. Besides, they're anything but reality......unscripted maybe, and even then the "players" are being pushed in certain directions.
  5. My car hystory: 1976 = 1964 Dart slant6 (yea, go ahead and laugh. It was a freebe first car) 1978 = 1973 Duster 340 1983 = 1970 Coronet w/ 440 1988 = 1976 Corvette 1994 = 1985 Corvette 1998 = 1969 Corvette ragtop 2010 (and current) = 2000 Benz CL600 V12 Also along the way I've had several choppers including a '62 Panhead, a '58 Harley trike (servi car), 4 Shovelheads and currently a '07 Street Glide. Everything, except the current '07 Harley and the Benz, were in marginal shape when I got them. Did most of the resto's and mods myself to bring them up to shape. Drove 'em around a couple years, sold and moved on to the next project. Lately, I've taken to resto jobbing some throw back speed boats: SideWinder 16, Excalibur 24 and now a Donzi 16 triple hatch currently in the works. What can I say, I gotta have something to tinker with at all times!
  6. Saw Taken2 Sunday. Good job for a sequel. Due to the nature of the first movie, you kinda knew he'd come out on top by the end so it was a bit predictable, but they did a good job of keeping you interested.
