  1. OMG, cp, she is sooooooooooooooooooo cute!!! TORTIE (diluted)! Glad you found each other!
  2. Awwwwwww yay! Get some pictures of her, please!
  3. It's not the mods....it's the board's automatic filter. It doesn't like the word c o o n.
  4. I jut got back from seeing The Hobbit. Good movie overall, but, as a Tolkien purist, there were little things I have issues with (like the climactic ending....loved the post-battle scene at the end but not the battle itself.....serious issues with that (but I'll refrain from giving spoilers)).
  5. That is Tardar Sauce....she's 8 months old and her owners think she's a mix.....of what exactly they don't know.
  6. *snicker* Well I've been bluff charged by bears. Not as huge as elephants but still pretty stinking terrifying!
  7. Hamsters are aggressive little rodents. Not surprised. A guinea pig bit off my thumbnail when I was 3.
  8. Oh so many movies coming out in the next couple years that will totally ramp up my inner geek!!! Iron Man 3, the second Thor, the second Captain America....the second Avengers.. Not to mention all three installments of the Hobbit wedged in between those!!! *happy sigh*
  9. Dennis there's some lovely filth down 'ere!
  10. Born and raised in York! But now an expat in SE Indiana. I'm equidistant between Indianapolis and Cincinnati and I still have to deal with Steelers fans!
  11. This makes me think of my Bobo. He HATES the cat carrier. Once I stood the carrier up, wrapped him in a towel and started to lower him into it...wouldn't you know it his back legs fell out of the bottom of the towel and he put one foot on either side of the door and pushed. He was a very strong cat in his younger days. The struggle was immense. Took me fifteen minutes of fighting to get him in and he was hissing at me and trying to b i t e me (stupid filter altered that to 'be quiet') all the while. The vet chuckled when I explained why we were late for the appointment.
  12. This made me smile. Thanks!
  13. I has The Avengers on DVD. I has a serious happy now.
  14. I'm sure I posted in this thread long ago and just can't find it and don't even remember if it's there... born and raised in south-central Pennsyltucky straight shot down Rte 83 from Baltimore. February of this year, I moved by choice to Colts country. Malkavian Raven can back me up on this as he lives a few miles down the highway from me: the suck is HUGE living halfway between Cincy and Indy!
  15. Oh I hear you on that. My dad had to keep reminding me of how long my stepmother's shoulder injury took to heal (she had fallen--broke her wrist and dislocated her shoulder). Yeah the strength will take a while. I was lucky in that my shoulder never lost range of motion to begin with. But holding the shoulder at certain angles really hurt...and sometimes still does. Best of luck!
  16. All I can say is dude..patience. Two years ago I strained my left front rotator cuff tendon and that took the better part of nine months to get back to right, even with my regiment of twice-daily rehab exercises. Now guaranteed a strained shoulder isn't the same as a dislocated one but I understand your frustration. Just don't try to rush back too soon and set yourself back. That is what I had the most trouble dealing with...the doing too much too soon.
  17. Joined a new gym and have an appointment with one of their trainers tomorrow afternoon. I knew I'd like the place when I walked in and saw the rowing machine.
  18. Kitteh must have had some sort of surgery. I think surgery is one of the only reasons a cat has to wear a Cone of Shame. Poor fluffy kitty.
  19. This one should be standard around here.
  20. First thing I do to celebrate receiving paychecks again is go get mahself DVD of The Avengers.
