Hes now played football for 6 years compared to 1 of rugby. Neither is much experience. My point was simply that playing 1 year of rugby probably wasnt enough for him to learn and retain anything meaningful that would carry over to his football playing. Hes now got far more experience playing football, which itself isnt much.

He was from England, right? So one could technically say he's played "football" for almost his entire life.
